Chances are you’ve heart Scott Quinn’s music in the past but you just didn’t know it was him, the artist has penned songs for some of the biggest artists across the globe including the icons BTS and country music legend Keith Urban to name a few. However the hit songwriter is now crafting his own hits, stepping out from the shadows and into the spotlight throughout his shimmering pop sound with a subtle R&B flair. To put it quite simply, he’s the next big pop star that we just don’t know yet.

NIGHTMARE is the first single off of his upcoming debut EP BETTER FOR ME and, as you might expect, it’s a chart topper in the making. Buoyant electronic synths lead the production with them having an air of Julia Michaels about them as Quinn’s powerful vocals lament over to lovers who aren’t seeing eye to eye anymore. Filled with a plethora of intoxicating hooks and addictive melodies that lodge themselves in the deepest crevasses of your skill and would require an excavation team to remove, it’s hard not to find yourself humming it wherever you go. Combine all that with the cathartic experience it offers and this is pop music you can jam out and cry to.

“This song is an amalgamation of times where you think you know someone, only to be quite suddenly proven very wrong,” Quinn explains about the track. “The subtle changes in a person’s personality or energy and how those small changes can have a devastating effect. Your worst nightmare.”
