Wosh3 – Dr LayLow featuring Romeo Swag

‘Wosh3’ is Ga Drill, meaning most of the lines and hook are in the Ghanaian language, ‘Ga’. It’s a celebratory song and the title literally means “We have arrived!” Just like most Drill songs from Ghana, the song will definitely get you pumped and you’d be tempted to chant along.

Kazan – Kwaku BS featuring Hama & Froy3

‘Kazan’ is another Drill song and is right up there on my ‘Top 5 Ghana Drill songs’. Also mostly sang in the Ga language, the best part of the song is in the excellent production by Nxwrth and the fact that the song takes exciting forms from start to finish…never a dull moment!

Problem No Dey Finish – BRYAN THE MENSAH

Obviously, Drill music is on fire right now in Ghana and this is one of the hottest songs right now. BRYAN THE MENSAH’s ‘Problem No Dey Finish’ is the harsh truth of most young adults weaved into witty yet relatable lines over an OKAIWAV production.

UOMO – Pappy Kojo featuring KiddBlack, Sarkodie

Released way before his long awaited debut album, ‘Logos II’, this is weirdly currently, my favourite song from Pappy Kojo. It’s the one song I keep going back to ever since ‘Logos II’ was released. Pappy Kojo rapped in the Ghanaian language, Fante and if you are a Hip-Hop head, you’d definitely enjoy the flow and showoff of bars and punchlines by the rappers.

Change – Asi

I love Change so much because it shows off Asi’s voice and has a great positive message. I find myself listening to it most mornings when I need that extra assurance. The song, just one of many other really great songs is off the singer’s Sekbi ‘Legacy’ EP released in February.

WAVs – EL

It was so hard to pick a single favourite off this project from the multi-talented artiste, EL. I fell in love with this project unexpectedly and if you are an Afrobeats fan, you’d love this authentic feel good project that will get you dancing for all 48 minutes, aptly titled ‘West African Vibes’.

Forever (Remix) – Gyakie featuring Omah Lay

A day doesn’t go by without me singing a few lines off this catchy Afrobeats tune. Gyakie is currently Ghana’s star girl, on her way to superstardom and this remix to her hit single off her debut ‘SEED’ EP will have you singing and dancing along in no time.

Bledeful – Boorle Minick

The song is off the rapper’s ‘The Things I’ll Never Say’ EP and honestly, that whole project is worth the listen. For Ghanaians who understand the Ga language, you’d have a fun time with the raw and explicit content in the songs as well as the song titles. If you feel like cussing out at life, Exes, haters and more, take a listen!
