Lionsgate released the official trailer for the upcoming thriller Amber Alert this week (August 15th). Click inside to check out the intense first look of the film.

In the movie, an ordinary rideshare becomes a high-stakes game of cat and mouse when Jaq and Shane receive an alert of a child abduction on their phones. Quickly realizing they are behind a car that matches the description of the kidnapper’s, Jaq and Shane desperately race against time to save the child’s life.

Amber Alert stars Hayden Panettiere (Remember the Titans, Scream franchise, Nashville) and Tyler James Williams (Everybody Hates Chris, The Walking Dead, Abbott Elementary). The film also stars Saidah Arrika Ekulona (No Activity, Kevin Can Wait, Bob Hearts Abishola) and Kevin Dunn (Samantha Who?, Veep, King Richard). 

The film was written by Joshua Oram and Kerry Bellessa (Immanence). Bellessa also directed the film and served as a producer alongside Joseph Restaino, Summer Bellessa, Tony Stopperan and Leal Niam.

In an exclusive first look photo from the film, Panettiere and James Williams can be seen in a car, both sharing a look of fear mixed with uncertainty. This is almost certainly the moment that they realize they have come across the kidnapped child and vehicle in question. We’ll have to patiently wait and see if that is indeed the case.
