We got the official trailer for Hulu’s romance drama She Taught Love this week (August 27th). Tap in to check out the first look at the love story of a generation.
The film follows Frank Cooper, who ever since getting off “The Street,” a prestigious cable television series, has been coasting through life distracting himself with women, booze and blow, while auditioning to play stereotypical gang members and drug dealers. But the minute he meets Mali Waters, a sports agent living for the present, his whole world changes. Despite their own worst instincts, Mali and Frank are inescapably drawn to one another. As Mali is forced to face her own mortality, the clock begins to tick. The two must learn to rely on each other, choosing to love and live for the moment, even if that’s all they get.
Darrell Britt-Gibson (Power, We Own This City, Judas and the Black Messiah) and Arsema Thomas (Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story) star as Frank Cooper and Mali Waters. The film also stars Alexander Hodge (Insecure, Tommy, Black Lightning), D’Arcy Carden (The Good Place, Barry, A League of Their Own), Edwin Lee Gibson (The Bear, Unprisoned), and Taissa Farmiga (American Horror Story, The Nun, The Nun II).
In addition to starring in the film, Britt-Gibson penned the film, making his feature screenwriting debut. Nate Edwards is also making his feature debut, as he directs for Marginal Mediaworks. Sanjay M. Sharma, Milan Chakraborty, Hadley Klein and Pete Van Auker produced the film. Jason Aidoo served as an executive producer alongside Britt-Gibson.
She Taught Love will premiere in select theaters and on Hulu on September 27th. In the meantime, check out the official trailer and some first look images from the film below!
