Clocking in at just over one minute long the anonymous figure known solely as byreality has given us a breathtaking and earnest vocal performance in their debut single CRUSH ON HER. The only thing known about the artist is his bio which reads, ‘who am i,’ encouraging listeners to use their imagination to envision who he is and add something to the music whilst also using this rollout method to let the music speak for itself. He’s created something personal and distinct that invites us into his somber portrait on love that is reminiscent of EDEN during his early years as The Eden Project.

A skeletal production of lullaby style guitar melodies melt into the subtle 808’s to create a tender ambience as we get an elegant dance between the raw authentic vocal and their sonically distorted counter part. Right now he’s hidden in a shroud of anonymity but there’s no doubt he’ll soon have the spotlight shine down upon him. Keep an eye on this one.
