Comedy Central just released the official trailer for its highly anticipated adult animated series “Everybody Still Hates Chris” and announced an all-star guest lineup. Read more about the upcoming series, check out episodic images and watch the trailer inside.
This reimagined series, narrated and executive produced by Chris Rock, is set to premiere this Wednesday, September 25, at 10 PM ET/PT. The series is said to bring back the humor and charm of the original live-action show.
The animated revival of “Everybody Hates Chris” will once again focus on Rock’s childhood experiences growing up in 1980s Brooklyn. This time, though, it’s presented in a stylized animated format, with Chris himself narrating the show as “Adult Chris.” The storylines remain relatable, portraying the challenges of being a nerdy kid in a large, working-class family. Fans can expect voices from returning cast members like Terry Crews (as Chris’ hardworking dad, Julius) and Tichina Arnold (as his no-nonsense mom, Rochelle), in addition to new cast members bringing even more energy to the series.
Alongside the trailer, the guest voice cast includes an impressive roster of stars such as Tisha Campbell (Act Your Age), Busta Rhymes, Sam Richardson (Ted Lasso), and Tichina Arnold (The Neighborhood). The series will also feature appearances by Bell Biv DeVoe, Ayo Edebiri (The Bear), and the legendary Sally Jessy Raphael, among many others.
