Whenever we go on long road trips, I like to listen to music that sounds like this. Not only does it feel motivational, it usually carries a message that most people will relate to, making the song memorable, and the playback value is high. Iraqi-Canadian singer-songwriter Ali Gatie’s ‘Do You Believe with Marshmello and Ty Dolla $ign rises to that occasion. In the video, a bully strikes. A young girl wearing a neckbrace carries items from the counter at the arcade. A jealous young man decides to mess up the arcade game, so the girl he likes doesn’t show support to a young kid who appears to defeat his score. Things turn from the moment the drinks hit the screen of the game.
We aren’t quite in festival season yet, but I could hear this playing between sets or playing on a local station when en route to the bonanza. If you’re anything like me, you can’t wait until we’re together again in this way. Until then, please, wear your masks, so we can all enjoy it sooner than later.
