Almost 9 years after the first film was released, we finally got our first look at The Accountant 2. Continue reading to watch the exhilarating trailer and to find out when it’ll hit theaters.

In the sequel to the 2016 movie, Ben Affleck (Good Will Hunting, Pearl Harbor, Air) returns as Christian Wolff, who has a talent for solving complex problems. When an old acquaintance is murdered, leaving behind a cryptic message to “find the accountant,” Wolff is compelled to solve the case. Realizing more extreme measures are necessary, Wolff recruits his estranged and highly lethal brother, Brax, to help. In partnership with U.S. Treasury Deputy Director Marybeth Medina, they uncover a deadly conspiracy, becoming targets of a ruthless network of killers who will stop at nothing to keep their secrets buried.

Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead, The Punisher, The Bear), Cynthia Addai-Robinson (Colombiana, Arrow, Shooter, Power), and J.K. Simmons (Law & Order, Spider-Man trilogy, Burn After Reading, Justice League) return to reprise their characters from the first film. They are joined by Daniella Pineda (The Detour, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Jurassic World Dominion), Allison Robertson, Robert Morgan (Babylon) and Grant Harvey (Animal Kingdom). 

The Accountant 2 was written by Bill Dubuque, with Gavin O’Connor directing. Affleck, Lynette Howell Taylor and Mark Williams took on producer responsibilities. The highly anticipated film will hit theaters globally on April 25th. Before then though, The Accountant 2 will have its world premiere at the 2025 SXSW Film Festival on March 8th.
