If you’re 16 and living in the UK you’re most likely panicking over your GCSE’s, but if you’re in Australia and you’re like the 16 year old singer, songwriter and producer Bryce Morgan, then you’re creating compelling pieces of hip hop inspired alternative pop with a subtle hyper pop edge… I prefer the Australian way (just saying). Jokes aside, despite his young age Morgan has showed himself to be a highly talented producer with his debut WONDER having an ominous undertone to the brooding soundscape that made his lyrical storytelling all the more gripping.
His follow up singe PIECES expands on all this further with the guitar riffs having a nostalgia to them that is reminiscent of early 2000’s TV show theme tunes (think 90210) with a pulsating beat bubbling underneath that reverberates through your body before we get greeted by a flurry of electronics in the climax. Coming in at just under two minutes, this track is short but sweet and gives you immediate insight into what this young musician is capable of doing.
