Iowa-based Nraakors have just recently unveiled their new project, a collection of 19 compositions gracefully put together under the album Hoppel Poppel.
Starting off with the energizing “A Gordian Knot,” the album switches moods and atmospheres on the second track, “Molten Hail” a calm composition where a beautiful wind instrument is accompanied by a melancholic piano line.
The same pattern is used for the rest of the album, with instrumentals plugged in between rock songs, all together forming a cohesive vision and bringing to life an extremely pleasing listening experience that sustains until the very end.
A group of four artists, Nraakors is composed of James Kasper, Joseph Norman, Gigi Macabre, and Johnathan. From rock songs to neo-classical chamber music-French film score instrumentals, and from jazz compositions to electronic tracks, Nraakors accompany the listener in an unpredictable journey while revisiting different musical genres, a rich and timeless proposition that will seduce the many fans out there tired of listening to the kind of music limited to a specific category, no matter the genre or style.
