50 Cent has shown his support for Bill Cosby after the latter was released from prison on Wednesday (June 30).
Bill Cosby has served at least two years of a three-to-ten-year sentence in prison for allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand, a former Temple University employee in 2004. On Wednesday (June 30), Pennsylvania’s highest court concluded that Bill Cosby should never have been charged due to a deal he made with a former prosecutor, who agreed not to criminally prosecute the comedian in return for his deposition in a civil case. Pennsylvania Supreme Court justices said:
There is only one remedy that can completely restore Cosby to the status quo ante. He must be discharged, and any future prosecution on these particular charges must be barred. We do not dispute that this remedy is both severe and rare. But it is warranted here, indeed compelled. For these reasons, Cosby’s convictions and judgment of sentence are vacated, and he is discharged.
Following the judgment, a number of celebrities took to their social media accounts to share their thoughts concerning the stunning reversal.American rapper 50 Cent also shared his view by celebrating Cosby’s release in a now-deleted social media post. He wrote:
My son Bill beat that case, These hoe’s be tripping. LOL.
