1. KARABA – Siren
Source:KARABA
French-Congolese producer/DJ KARABA has announced her forthcoming Tides EP, set to arrive on May 23. The announcement arrives with her new single ‘Siren’ out now via ONErpm.
A mesmerizing dive into Tides, ‘Siren’ lures listeners into KARABA’s immersive world of Afro house rhythms and sultry electronic soundscapes. Evoking both the mythological mystique and raw power of its oceanic inspirations, ‘Siren’ seduces listeners with its elevated synthwork and stimulating sound design. ‘Siren’ joins ‘Dark Waters’ as the second single off KARABA’s upcoming EP and offers a glimpse into the depth of artistry woven throughout Tides.
“With ‘Siren’, I wanted to capture the feeling of being deep in the water—where I’ve finally found calmness and am moving with the flow rather than against it. The bridge is my favorite part, heavily inspired by my love for Daft Punk. I wanted to create something mystical, galactic, and yet somehow, hopeful.” – KARABA
Out May 23, Tides is KARABA’s third EP following her 2022 debut Délivrance and 2023 sophomore Souvenirs. Exploring themes of evolution, identity, and sonic synergy, Tides is an allegory for KARABA’s rebirth. Over five fluid and dynamic originals, Tides is set to cement KARABA’s place as one of the most innovative voices in Afro house and beyond.
2. Fusilier – Ambush
Source:Fusilier – Topic
True to its name, Ambush, the debut album from Fusilier, surprise drops today on IS NOT MUSIC. The release comes with a brand new video for “Hello,” directed by Mackai Sharp.
The single joins Ambush’s extensive visual reel that includes “Birds,” “Nightmare Muscle,” “U N I NO,” and “NSA.” Those tracks drew praise from Rolling Stone, the Boston Globe, Line of Best Fit, and Queerty among many others, with Alternative Press designating Fusilier as one of their Top 25 Most Exciting Artists of 2025 for his “powerful vocals … cradled by innovative production that incorporates traditional instrumentation, angular riffage, and soulful, driving basslines with bold, unexpected texture.” NYC folks can catch Ambush live in all its glory at Public Records on April 9th, with tickets HERE.
The album’s thesis statement, “Hello” exemplifies the many influences and sounds present in Ambush. Accompanied by a soft guitar riff, Fusilier gently introduces us to his inner thoughts. The more he shares, the busier and deeper the song becomes. A brilliant cast of musicians bring their a-games on bass (Chris Connors), drums (Vishal Nayak), violin (Lavinia Pavlish, Katie Jacoby), while previous collaborators Bartees Strange and Teeny Lieberson return to share their vocals and guitar and synth skills, respectively. All of them unite behind Fusilier as he pushes towards the song’s climax, where it slows to a dramatic tempo as his rebellious tenor vocalizes his wildest dreams come true: “Tonight, I feel like a cowboy.”
Director Mackai shared the reasons behind his and Fusilier’s success with the “Hello” video: “It was exciting for me! I tend to work within a specific sound, and this project felt like the biggest departure from what I am familiar with. And with that, comes a whole different sonic universe for me to riff off of. I feel blessed with the ability to vividly picture scenes and concepts when absorbing music, and it was such an organic process communicating these visions with the team as we developed our ideas. It’s been a real honour getting to know Fusilier and the community that surrounds this project; Everyone is working at such a high level of intention and nuance, from songwriting to styling, it’s magic to me.”
For Fusilier, Ambush is his maternal guide to fighting and loving in the shadow of defeat, its title taken from his mother’s maiden name as much as the act of surprise. For the listener, Ambush is a ferocious whirlwind of polyrhythms, cutting lyricism, classical motifs, distorted riffs, and soaring vocals that document a journey for self-love and humanity in the face of indignity and commodification. Throughout, Fusilier triangulates influences of dance music, turn of the century rock, and southern hip-hop to produce a sound that’s as politically urgent as it is singularly fun. Now, after years of percolating in the indie scene working with Pegg and RIBS alongside Bartees Strange and Teeny Lieberson, Blake Fusilier emerges as a formidable musician, songwriter, and performer in his own right.
“When I started Ambush I thought it was something I was doing—bombarding the world with a bunch of world-changing songs,” Fusilier says with a laugh. “The more I thought about it and fleshed it out, the more I realized that it was something being done to me everyday, from seemingly innocent advertisements to full-on macro aggressions.” It’s this fascination with a sense of safety—both real and imagined—that allows Fusilier to create songs that are fortified like a shield. Take previous single “Nightmare Muscle,” where he offers a biting auto-biography on the narrowing walls of ambition, delivered through the golden age of ‘90s alternative and pop-punk in all its rapped verse and screamed chorus glory. Ambush’s lone ballad “Satellites” revels in the vulnerability of loving openly, with Fusilier’s silvery falsetto delivering “I lived my life as a code— / never let anyone close / So you can imagine the shame of needing your face everyday” somewhere between a plea and a whisper.
Ambush is Fusilier’s most collaborative project to date, with many folks contributing to production and performance, including Carlos Hernandez (Carlos Truly), Teeny Lieberson (Sharon Van Etten & The Attachment Theory), and Vishal Nayak (Nick Hakim). While the album was created in “so many places by so many people,” Fusilier credits studio time with Bartees Strange in DC as the catalyst for turning this collection of songs into such a cohesive, potent statement. Ambush puts Fusilier comfortably alongside Yves Tumor, Perfume Genius, and Model/Actriz as a distinctive voice in adventurous pop music. He may have been ambushed, but trust Fusilier is finally free. Ambush is his way of letting you know.

4. late night drive home – terabyte
Source:late night drive home
After months of online mystery, late night drive home today announces their debut album as I watch my life online will be released on June 27 via Epitaph. A criticism of their adolescence always existing in the shadow of the internet, the 13-track offering codes together vignettes of mistaking online connection for something real. With their success outgrowing the bedrooms they used to create in, late night drive home’s debut album is the first time they’ve worked in proper studios. And with this growth, we see them move from the indie-rock bucket to a more expansive, electronic realm — Pre-save as I watch my life online.
“Over-exposed and over-stimulated, desensitized to what is real and what is fabricated, desensitized to the simple things,” flows off lead singer Andre Portillo’s tongue about the forthcoming album. “This constant need for more of you has become a Pandora’s box in this modern age. I’m obsessed, you mean so much to me and without you, I would be staring at a different reflection in the mirror. You’ve made me. You’ve destroyed me. I sometimes wonder why I can’t live without you.”
Today’s album news arrives alongside the first single “terabyte.” A glitchy yet crystalline rumination on an addiction to adult content, the band finds themselves in an unending cycle of seeking online validation and destroying their self-worth. If love is the drug, the band’s drug tolerance keeps climbing. Try as they might to justify the dependence, they know they need to quit in order to establish real-life relationships — Stream.
“A lonely creature searches for love and yearns to be understood in and at every corner of his world,” shares Portillo about today’s single. “Two different people exist on each side of the screens both trying to live in this modern world.”
late night drive home was born in El Paso, Texas, and Chaparral, New Mexico, hardworking communities where folks built their houses by hand and collars were mostly blue. In the same way that their neighbors did what they needed to get by, late night drive home taught themselves to create music as an escape from the slow, rural life.
This drive to find more meaning in life propelled late night drive home to become the internet’s best kept secret. Following their breakout hit “Stress Relief,” the band spent the bulk of 2024 out on the road, playing infamous festivals like Coachella, Shaky Knees, Austin City Limits and Kilby Block Party. More sure of themselves, and settled into their sound, late night drive home is primed for the summer release of their debut album.
5. CMAT – Running/Planning

She also unveils a mammoth run of UK live dates – including a high-profile Glastonbury slot and her biggest headliners to date: London’s O2 Academy Brixton and Dubin’s 3 Arena.
On “Running/Planning,” which premiered today on BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record, CMAT says: “Running/Planning’ is about having to chase your own tail to be good enough to exist. It’s an abstracted view of societal pressure on women – specifically through a relationship lens: You start dating someone, you get engaged, you get married, you have kids etc etc etc… everything has to follow this linear pattern. (That’s the reason for the repetitive chorus!). And the minute you don’t follow that path, your mam starts giving out to you. That narrow path that everyone is supposed to be on… the minute you get outside of that, it gets incredibly stressful. And I don’t know anyone who is like, ‘Yeah, love this!”

6. Pixel Grip – Split
Source:Pixel Grip – Topic
Today, Chicago’s underground electronic trio Pixel Grip, comprised of Rita Lukea (vocals), Jonathon Freund (synth), and Tyler Ommen (drums), is back, unveiling their latest single, “Split”. A high-energy track layered with raw emotion and a triple entendre that explores the fractures of broken relationships, betrayal, and mental health. It’s a cathartic expression of pain and revenge, “Split” captures the sting of betrayal both lyrically and sonically, with pulsating production drawing listeners into an emotional whirlwind.
The single serves as their first offering of the year and the third release from their upcoming project. It follows their previous pulse-pounding releases, “Stamina” and “Bet You Do”, further cementing Pixel Grip’s reputation as a genre-defying force. With a sound that blends darkwave, electronic, and avant-pop influences, the trinity continues to push boundaries while maintaining its signature raw energy and star quality.
Pixel Grip shares, “‘Split’ is a triple entendre. First, it means to leave, ‘I’m going to split; see you later.’ Second, it refers to heartbreak; my heart split in half. And third, it touches on a psychological symptom where your perception of someone splits: they go from being your friend to your enemy, everything becomes black and white, and you cut them off – you split on them.”
Known for their seductive, avant-garde aesthetic and electrifying live performances, Pixel Grip has cultivated a cult following through relentless touring and an unapologetic exploration of themes rooted in desire, power, and liberation, amassing over 7M streams to date. In 2024, they toured as direct support for HEALTH and DEHD, followed by a sold-out North American headline run, including a standout performance at Chicago’s RIOT Fest. Their underground anthems “ALPHAPUSSY” and “Demon Chaser” have caught the eye of high fashion houses and have been featured on fashion runways for VERSACE and Alexandre Vauthier.
Listen to “Split” now and stay tuned for more Pixel Grip coming soon.
7. Dende – I am, because you are…
Source:Dende
Today, Houston-based rising R&B artist Dende unveils his anxiously awaited new I am, because you are… EP available now via Def Jam Recordings. Listen HERE. Watch video for “Time” HERE.
The six-track body of work doubles as a canvas for his emotions. Painting in broad strokes thematically, he explores the quick onset of romance, lust, and love as these feelings endure the ensuing phases of a relationship between two strong individual personalities.
Among many highlights, his vocals practically drip over a steady beat on the single “Stay” [feat. Roy Woods]. Backed by wailing guitar and skittering cymbals, falsetto echoes on the refrain as he confesses, “What I’m trying to say is…I just want you to stay.” Roy pulls up with an equally impactful cameo. Glimmers of guitar and keys dissolve into a head-nodding throwback rhythm during “Never,” building towards a proclamation, “No I’ll never find no one better.” Then, there’s the sultry finale “Dance With Me.” Piano pierces its hypnotic bounce, and he vividly sets the scene, “The smell of roses on the counter, you feel a breeze through that windowpane, slow music that we flurry to, the sweet red on my lips you taste.”
With a painter’s attention-to-detail and a fine artist’s elevated perspective, he depicts love as it blooms, withers, and reignites on I am, because you are…
Dende recently paved the way for the EP with “Need U Like.” Receiving widespread applause, Billboard named it one of the “R&B Hip-Hop Fresh Picks of the Week,” going on to rave, “With its smooth production and raw lyricism, “Need U Like” is Dende at his best — vulnerable, confident, and completely lost in love.” UPROXX included it as part of “All The Best New R&B Music From This Week,” continuing, “Dende’s infectious new single that serves as a profession of love to a significant other that he just can’t keep his hands and his eyes off of.”
Plus, the EP boasts “The Louvre” featuring LUCIIA. Earning critical acclaim from Billboard and many more, Rated R&B highlighted how the track “finds Dende enamored by a walking piece of art.” VIBE professed, “Dende’s first release under Def Jam is a soulful ode to his lover and his desire to immortalize her as art in the Louvre,” proceeding to urge, “Dedicate this one to the masterpiece in your life.” REMIXD MAGAZINE hailed it as a “poetic ode to love and admiration” and predicted “If this single is any indication, his next moves will only further solidify his place as a powerhouse in contemporary R&B.”
He has been making steady waves in the industry with his evocative storytelling and seamless fusion of early 2000s R&B with raw, personal narratives. Born in Katy, Texas, he grew up as a preacher’s son, honing his musical roots in church. His full-band live performances have captivated audiences at renowned venues, including SXSW and Brooklyn’s Baby’s All Right. His UPROXX Live Performance remains the platform’s most-watched in history.
His most recent 2024 3-track EP, Wish You Were Here, garnered praise from RatedRnB, OurGenerationMusic, On The Radar, and Uproxx, following the success of Before We Crash and ‘95 Civic, which amassed over 6M streams independently. With over 400K monthly Spotify listeners and recognition from Billboard, On The Radar, REVOLT, and Lyrical Lemonade, Dende was named one of Complex’s 2024 Artists to Watch.

Source:TreLoaded
Steeped in Memphis sounds since birth, Tre Loaded is a natural spitter. Today, the 21-year-old rapper puts on his steel-toed boots and gets to “Steppin‘” with his new single. Attacking the stomp-worthy percussion–a steady cadence, occasionally interrupted by drumline fills–with cold precision, giving expert advice on when to spend and when to save: “Ay, you gotta pay what you weigh/Back in the day, I had nowhere to stay/Ay a hunnid some K in the safe/Could buy a watch, but I want me a wraith.” “Steppin” is Tre Loaded’s first single since “Can’t Get Enough,” his Tamia-sampling Valentine’s Day anthem.
“Steppin,” “Can’t Get Enough,” and earlier single “GloRilla” have kicked off what is already a busy 2025 for Tre Loaded, who exploded into the consciousness last year with viral hits and important co-signs, leading to over 50 million catalog streams in 2024 alone. 11. Autumn Paige – Down The Rabbit Hole EP
Source:Autumn Paige
Today, rising R&B artist Autumn Paige releases Down The Rabbit Hole, her debut EP via JBR Creative Group. Alongside the new project, Autumn shares the official music video for “Rotation” – a captivating earworm that blends R&B with candy-coated pop sensibilities.
Underscored by lyrics that explore a shameless desire for being vulnerable, Autumn bares her process of growth across an immersive soundscape. This ethos is felt throughout the 6-track EP. With a central theme rooted in her own experiences, Autumn’s music captures the turbulence, charm, and emotional cascades of love and self-reflection.
Speaking about the new project, Autumn shares, “At its core, ‘Down The Rabbit Hole’ is about honesty. Music today can feel like it’s lost its rawness, but I want to bring that back. It’s okay to not have it all together, to feel deeply, and to be vulnerable. That’s what this project is — an unfiltered journey through love, heartbreak, and everything in between.”
The EP’s arrival isn’t fans’ first introduction to Down The Rabbit Hole. Last November brought “Topless,” a sonically supercharged single that’s ornate and raw in its approach. This was followed by the slow-burning groove of “Baggage,” which received support from Apple Music, Amazon, Pandora, and Spotify editorial playlists. The latter has also been in heavy rotation on BET Soul.
Picking up where “Baggage” left off, the video for “Rotation” depicts yet another tragic love story. Autumn revels in the absurdity of toxic relationships, and in a moment of frustration, her anger gets the best of her, resulting in a meltdown of epic proportions — Watch HERE.
Down The Rabbit Hole peeks behind the curtain into a singular artistic vision untethered by genre. “‘Baggage’ and ‘Rotation’ have a nostalgic R&B feel, while ‘Good In Me’ leans into country, standing out as the only one of its kind,” Autumn says. The Cleveland native is gearing up for her 2025 takeover, and her debut EP, out now, is sure to be a thrilling listen for fans.

15. Naomi Sharon – Can We Do This Over
Source:Naomi Sharon
Today, Naomi Sharon returns with a soulful single, “Can We Do This Over.” The singer’s highly anticipated new song is a gorgeous addition to Sharon’s impressive discography. “Can We Do This Over,” created with Justin Tranter (Selena Gomez, Chappel Roan, Lady Gaga), sees Sharon experimenting with acoustic instrumentals while her silky, soulful vocals remain centerstage.
“I remember being in a vulnerable phase,” Sharon reflects on the making of “Can We Do This Over.” “Together with Justin Tranter, the co-writer, I wrote a beautiful lyric that perfectly captured how I was feeling. That was a special experience. It is always great when you are completely in sync with a writer or producer.”
“It felt like a very open and honest process. We decided to start acoustically to see what kind of song would emerge, instead of immediately adding a full production. This allowed us to experiment with different elements and instruments. Eren Cannata, Jordan Ullman and Alex Lustig guided this process beautifully. When I received the first version, it immediately felt right. I had shared my ideas, and they interpreted them in their own way, aligning perfectly with my vision. That connection is very important to me in the creative process.”

17. Lord Sko – PIFF
Source:Lord Sko
A 20-year-old rapper with a veteran’s understanding of the game, Lord Sko only peddles the finest dope. Taking a page out of his heroes’ book and using it to roll a spliff, the NY native releases PIFF, his new album. Bringing listeners on a tour through his side of Uptown, Lord Sko is an amiable host, crafting boasts that succinctly summarize his life as a rising artist, toe-tagging instrumentals with his frayed rasp.
“PIFF is a colorful exploration of the elevated mind,” says Lord Sko. “Inspired by my many cannabis infused exploits as a young adult in New York City, PIFF is both very personal to my own experiences and designed to be relatable to the average Stoner.”
Along with the new album, Lord Sko shares the music video for “Bong Rips,” a collaboration with D.C. underground hero MAVI. Produced by Harry Fraud, serves up vintage música with playful organs and chopped-up horns, inviting Sko and MAVI to bring out their 10,000 thread count rhymes: “I’m at the bar with the veneer doctor for Chris Rock,” spits Sko, while MAVI says, “My wrist frigid, igloo, hit sticks and licks too.” In the video, Sko searches the city for the finest piff, until he finds a bionic strain that causes to hallucinate a miniature MAVI, before Sko and MAVI transport themselves into a TV screen to perform the song.
Sko’s detail-rich verses, malleable flows, and brash attitude make him a natural collaborator with artists of all styles and generations. PIFF rolls out the red carpet for old school hip-hop royalty, including Grand Puba of Brand Nubian, who duets with Sko on the feverish “Girbaud Talk,” and Del The Funkee Homosapien, who has his own interlude. The rapper who calls himself Rap Jeff Hardy finds a kindred spirit in fellow wrestling lover Conway The Machine, who gives Sko his blessing on “Camel Eyes,” and takes the weed rap baton from Curren$y, who appears alongside Sko on recent single “Understand.” Though he’s an old soul, Lord Sko is more than capable of acting his age, sounding at home next to new NYC figurehead POLO PERKS <3>
Inspired by the stoner classics of the blog era, PIFF restores that feeling, with adventurous samples and vibrant, hazy soundscapes, crafted by some of the finest producers in the East Coast. Statik Selektah lends sumptuous bass to early highlight “Second Thought,” as Sko slices through fluttering woodwinds like a box cutter. A-Lau serves up a propulsive, shiny suit anthem on “Livin Life,” which Sko turns into his aspirational intro, while Tony Seltzer and Grimm Doza craft a shimmering bit of cloud rap on “Robinhood.” With additional production from Mike Shabb, Wino Willy, and Arlo Walker, the 20-year-old prodigy who has been working with Lord Sko since 2022’s MUSEUM, PIFF is available everywhere via UPTOWN SH!T/STIMULATED.
PIFF continues Sko’s rise as one of New York’s finest emcees, who proudly carries on the tradition of his hometown sound, while adding a relatable spin. He started rapping when he was a teenager, releasing his first mixtape at only 17 years-old, teaming up with the even younger producer Arlo Walker to create Museum. In 2023, Sko released United Palace, an accomplished project named after the Washington Heights theater, which established him as one of the most exciting emcees in the Five Boroughs. In April, Lord Sko launches the “PIFF Tour,” his first-ever nationwide headlining tour. Featuring support from LifeOfThom, the tour kicks off in Boston on April 16, making its way through major markets like Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Chicago before concluding in Vancouver on May 8. 21. Maddie Zahm – (the angry part)
Source:Maddie Zahm
Today, singer-songwriter Maddie Zahm released her new EP (the angry part), out now via AWAL. Alongside the release of this stunningly confessional EP that explores the many facets of anger, comes “Cannibal,” one of the most vulnerable songs Maddie has ever written. Listen to the EP here. Tune in today at 1pm ET to watch the official music video for “Cannibal” here.
On lead single “Cannibal,” Maddie lays bare her feelings about the success she experienced after going viral on TikTok, and feeling like everyone around her was taking a piece of her, including herself. Her vocals are in top form on this stunning song that reveals the darker side of achieving fame.
(the angry part) is another deeply personal chapter in Maddie’s musical output – this time, exploring different facets of anger – anger with others, anger with yourself, anger at scenarios beyond your control. Her songs tap into universal truths while laying bare her own stories. Like break-ups, or spreading herself too thin after success, or even putting herself in the shoes of a friend who couldn’t see she was in a deeply unhealthy relationship. In true Maddie Zahm spirit, the feelings are feeling, the voice is giving, and the songs hit right smack in the center of the heart.
Previous single “Sheets” is a dance-floor banger about anger at an ex (and a celebration of Pride Month), while “Heaven” is one of the angrier songs Maddie has ever written, allowing herself to feel fully and sing “hate you from heaven,” without guilt. “Cannibal,” explores her struggling mental health after fame, and “He Calls Me Pretty,” is a haunting dark-pop song rife with harmonies and 808 beats, about a friends’ toxic relationship with a man.
The release of (the angry part) follows a whirlwind of burgeoning success for Maddie Zahm, whose confessional lyrics and powerhouse vocals have landed her attention from the Kelly Clarkson Show, NPR All Things Considered, Billboard, American Songwriter, Consequence, Rolling Stone, People, SPIN, YouTube’s The Spark series, and many more.
From the virality of singles “Fat Funny Friend” and “You Might Not Like Her” to her critically acclaimed debut album Now That I’ve Been Honest, to last year’s fan-favorite single “little me”, which she debuted on the Kelly Clarkson Show, Maddie Zahm has continued amassing a devoted fan base of over 175 million streams and millions of fans on TikTok. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times about TikTok virality, they mentioned her as the rare artist who has been able to transform TikTok fame to a tight-knit community to in-person sold-out shows around the US.
Now, with the kick-off of her next chapter of music, Maddie is again inviting fans into her world, where she leads listeners into the most intimate parts of her psyche (and theirs too). Maddie is forever oscillating through the spectrum of emotions and creating a space where audiences can unite and share in the reality that existing is overwhelming.
Last year, she took the debut album on tour – selling out shows around the U.S. – and released fan favorite “little me” while on the road. Maddie’s star continues to rise in 2025, with the release of her EP and the sad & sexy tour expanding this fall.
22. StyllerSupreme – First District
Source:StyllerSupreme – Topic
FIRST DISTRICT is the glorious debut EP from emerging British Nigerian artist and producer STYLLERSUPREME, marking the long-awaited arrival of a remarkable new voice in afrofusion and global music. Arriving 18 months after his breakthrough single ‘Love On You’, which was championed by tastemakers like MTV Base, Earmilk, KAZI Magazine, and The NATIVE, the First District EP sees StyllerSupreme returning to Lagos, where he was born, to create this three-track offering. Rooted in pure unfiltered vibes, and crafted with producer Pjay (Olamide, Baddy Oosha), and audio engineer IndoMix (Wyclef Jean, Davido), the project captures the rush of romantic obsession through the lens of a self-assured lover boy – it is introspective, infectious, and emotionally honest.
Whether it’s the traditional bounce and instant chemistry of the EP’s opener ‘Feeling’, the irresistible amapiano groove of ‘Party Jollof’, or the dreamy, emotionally vulnerable curtain call ‘Trance’, First District is a captivating journey through early connection, desire, romance, and the magnetic pull of possibility in a new relationship. Styller’s soft yet commanding delivery and his uniquely resonant songwriting bring each track to life, drawing listeners into stories that feel personal and universal all at once. Beyond the music, First District is a statement of resilience for the British Nigerian riser. After stepping away from releasing music due to health struggles and personal setbacks, this EP marks more than just a creative return for StyllerSupreme, it’s a celebration of healing and determination.
StyllerSupreme comes highly recommended if you like the sounds of Fireboy DML, Burna Boy, or Rema, and crafts a dynamic fusion blend of afrobeats, R&B, and hip-hop with edgy pop sensibilities. As he releases his new EP, Styller is not only reintroducing himself to the world, but also setting the tone for the rest of 2025, with more singles dropping in the summer, and a follow-up EP already in the works for the autumn. First District is just the first chapter of a story that’s only beginning to unfold. As he puts it, “this EP hits differently for me. It’s not just about the songs – it’s about finally embracing the chance to do what I love again consistently. I’ve had to take the long way round to get to this point due to heath challenges and personal issues, but just being able to release music again means a lot to me”.
23. Veeta Venom – Ain’t No More
Source:Veeta Venom – Topic
Veeta Venom, a rising singer, rapper, and songwriter, releases her powerful new single “Ain’t No More.”
“Ain’t No More” explores profound themes of change, loss, and the state of the world today, showcasing Veeta Venom’s signature artistic style and emotional depth. This highly anticipated release promises to resonate with listeners through its poignant lyrics and passionate delivery.
In “Ain’t No More,” Veeta Venom delves into the heart of turbulent times. The song confronts how our world has changed and how we cope with the things that “ain’t no more” – whether it’s the loss of loved ones, opportunities, or a sense of normalcy.
Through vivid storytelling and heartfelt vocals, Veeta Venom addresses the pain of letting go and the hope of finding light in darkness. The track’s haunting melody and compelling beat draw listeners in, creating an immersive experience that reflects on personal struggles and broader societal challenges.
Veeta Venom opens up about the inspiration behind the new single in her own words:
“‘Ain’t No More’ is an anthem for anyone who’s gone through sudden changes or hard goodbyes,” says Veeta Venom. “I wrote this song during a period of reflection. So much in our lives and in the world was shifting — things we took for granted were disappearing. With ‘Ain’t No More,’ I wanted to capture that feeling of waking up to a new reality. It’s about recognizing what’s gone, grieving it, and finding the strength to keep moving forward.”
This personal connection to the song highlights the heart and soul Veeta Venom poured into the creative process. Her openness and vulnerability make “Ain’t No More” not just a song, but a statement on perseverance and hope amidst uncertainty.
24. Real Bad Man & Willie The Kid – Midnight
Source:Willie The Kid
LA-based producer Real Bad Man and Michigan rapper Willie the Kid release their new collaborative album, Midnight, via the producer’s own Real Bad Man Records label. The album, which marks the producer’s second collaborative project of the year following Dear Psilocybin with ZelooperZ, includes guest appearances from UK rapper Sonnyjim, New York’s Lord Sko and frequent RBM collaborator Boldy James, who will be releasing his own Real Bad Man-produced album in May.
The album came together naturally for the pair, letting each new song inform the identity of the project as a whole. Speaking about how they identified that central theme of the album, Willie says, “I think where Adam and I agreed upon is that the stand out records were all themes for the night, late night drive, after hours dinners, shopping, private rooftop hotel suites, it’s a thinking album, a cruising album preferably enjoyed at night…midnight””
Midnight marks the early stages of what’s shaping up to be a prolific run of collaborations for Real Bad Man in 2025. His second album of the year builds off of the momentum he sparked last month with his first full-length album with ZelooperZ, Dear Psilocybin, which The FADER called “clear-eyed and focused in its own fantastical way”. Working as a duo with the dynamic lyricism of Willie the Kid after the psychedelic sounds of Dear Psilocybin, Real Bad Man returns to the essential underground beatmaking that he first emerged onto the scene with through his On High Alert series. His crackling, lo-fi production pairs perfectly with Willie’s gritty delivery, laying a foundation for the longtime lyrical stylist who has worked alongside some of the genre’s modern heroes including Nas, Lil Wayne, The Alchemist, Roc Marciano, Curren$y and more.
25. Benicio Bryant – Goodie Bag
Source:Benicio Bryant
Today, 20-year-old artist and model Benicio Bryant has released the brand single “Goodie Bag.” The sexy pop bob draws the listener in almost like a queer siren call and combined with the irresistible beat makes you want to put the track on repeat over and over.
When writing “Goodie Bag” Benicio recollects, “When we wrote this song, we had the production but were struggling with the lyrics and we decided we needed just a funny line or concept to lift with the production. I had the melody, and all of a sudden I burst out, ‘come reach in my goodie bag’. We just thought that was so funny and loved it. It means, let’s get it on, stop pretending – we’ve liked each other for a long time, let’s just do something about it, let’s act on it. That’s exactly what it means.”
The sultry sweet song is the latest release from Benicio’s highly anticipated forthcoming debut POPSTAR EP and follows his recent “Gameboy” release which was featured on Ones To Watch and is another gem in the masterpiece that will be the upcoming EP.
The track was written because Benicio isn’t necessarily the stay-out-at-night, club kid. He wanted to write a song for all of those kids (and adults) who party the introverted way – at home! The song is for all the homebody’s out there who celebrate the school or work week with another pop culture favorite – video games. For the production, Benicio wanted to channel harsh, digital sounds to embody the digital nature of the lyrics.
Benicio says of the writing process, “I just loved the idea of making this song a vocal trap song. Like ‘ga-a-ame.’ I liked it sounding synthetic, and very fake. Like I liked it sounding like digital. Some of the sounds are scary and abrupt, I think that’s good, it’s fun! Pop isn’t supposed to be perfect, it’s supposed to be risky and a party.”
Rounding out the already released bangers that will be featured on the POPSTAR EP is the title track. “Popstar” is a future club classic that is a love letter to Benicio’s inner popstar and a song that rivals the divadom of Kim Petras and Dua Lipa. Channeling club beats adjacent to Troye Sivan’s and the disco retro vibes of Conan Gray, Benicio is unapologetic with his undeniable star power.
On “Popstar,” Bryant said “‘Popstar’ is being in love with the best version of you, and future versions of you. It’s looking forward to only getting better and seeing yourself grow into more of a force, imagining the possibilities. Everybody has a pop star.”
26. Pleasure Pill – Line Up The Stars
Source:Pleasure Pill
We regret to inform you that you have now a life-long fandom of the most dangerous band in San Diego, Pleasure Pill – a moody indie rock band with stadium-sized ambition, who today announced the release of debut studio album Hang A Star. Showcasing timeless brit pop with indie rock swagger it’s set for release on June 27 via à La Carte Records – pre-order here.
Further your reckless purist of hedonistic abandon with their new single “Line Up The Stars,” a crisp, harmony-drenched track swirling in a mix of power-pop exuberance and baggy swagger. Pleasure Pill’s introspective lyrics depict adolescent wanderlust, a curious combo destined to launch them to the stars.
“With it’s bright and upbeat nature, ‘Line Up The Stars’ was always meant to be the lead single,” says frontman Jonah Paz. “Meant for the dance floor at midnight, it’s our take on club meets rock’n’roll.”
Pleasure Pill picks up where Brit-pop left off, but this time with better haircuts, and sound designed to entangle you from the very first note. Following in the footsteps of Britpop brother bands of the ‘90s, lead singer Jonah Paz and brother Ethan (rhythm guitar) formed the band in mid-2021 with friends they grew up with in San Diego’s underground scene. Together, they overcame their sibling rivalries and dreamed of big success and world domination, in between skating, going to DIY punk gigs, and putting on shows in their community centers. Within a few years, the band has already captured the attention of tastemakers and media, and received high praise on previous releases including the psych-infused single “Wonder How” and their blazing full-length live album Heaven Can Wait, which was recorded during a buzzy NYC club residency last year. All of this helped the band to quickly build a local following and turn it into national music industry buzz.
They were courted by every major record label, who initially blew hot and then cold when the pandemic hit and fewer chances were taken on bands without a viral social moment to show proof of concept. Undeterred they decided to stay true to their indie roots and wrote songs inspired by British music from the invasion era classic pop to seminal ‘90s bands like Primal Scream and the Stone Roses. While clear sonic reference points, their songs never become pastiche but live in the current underground of contemporary indie rock and hit you like an intravenous shot of dopamine.
If you dare, watch this band on upcoming tour dates supporting Sid Simons and Benches, as well as headline dates in New York (soon to be announced.)

28. Bardo ft. Combo Chimbita – Renacer
Source:BARDO
Solo artist Bardo – formerly of the band Chicano Batman – ushers in his new era on Stones Throw with a new song, “Renacer”, featuring eclectic NYC-by-way-of-Colombia band Combo Chimbita.
“Renacer”, which translates to “rebirth”, celebrates Bardo’s new chapter, which arrives after leading Chicano Batman, the psychedelic rock band that “embodies Los Angeles…a sprawling map of Latinx communities and cross-cultural sound.” Born to a Mexican father and Colombian mother, Bardo grew up in the LA suburb of La Mirada in a house full of music immersed in diverse sounds from classic rock and R&B and top 40 hits from the 70s and 80s to cumbia, vallenato, and salsa. He takes inspiration from the rich sounds of his youth and his Afro-Latino heritage to tell stories about his personal journey. Peanut Butter Wolf, head of Stones Throw, said on the track “imagine on the Mudd Club a DJ playlist in the early 80s: the lower east side NY hip-hop meets post-punk, meets Latin in the art scene.”
Bardo says: “Being the son of a Caribbean woman from the north Atlantic coastal city of Cartagena is a root that makes me who I am and informs so much of my personality and everything about me; it’s a root that I’m very proud of. This song is an ode to that root, that heritage, to Colombia, to the afro roots of where I come from, where the rhythm is, where the feeling is.”
“Renacer” previews the kaleidoscopic sound world that Bardo has built within his next body of work. The song was born from a voice memo during a jam session in Bardo’s home studio, when Combo Chimbita visited LA from NYC. Bardo adds, “Combo also shares [my] heritage, so the synergy in the lyrics between Carolina Oliveros and me is true.”
The accompanying music video, directed by William Andrade, follows Bardo celebrating in the streets of New York with Combo Chimbita – a celebration of Latin and Black communities’ influence on the city’s rich musical history and a nod to 90’s hip hop.
Bardo also adds: “‘Renacer’ comes at a time of profound change: pushing my solo career is a huge shift for me. I’m digging deep and giving it my all. Rebirth is something that happens every moment; every breath is an opportunity to center yourself. Carolina’s lyrics speak so much to reinvention in the moment. The revolution is truly a personal one, and music for us is the way we empower and inspire ourselves. We believe that music is fundamentally spiritual; it is also the love language of our ancestors speaking through us.”
Bardo will be headlining across 7 different US cities on his Renacer Tour this April, link to the tickets can be found HERE.

30. Ginger Winn – Not You
Source:Ginger Winn
Today, Kingston, NY via Charleston, South Carolina folk singer-songwriter Ginger Winn shares her intimate, cathartic “Not You”–a touching tribute to the artist’s late father, out everywhere now. Winn’s sophomore album Freeze Frame is due out June 13. On May 1, the artist and musician/producer A.J. Yorio (Michael Marcagi) will play live at Colony in Woodstock, NY with tickets on sale now here.
Plus, Winn shares a mental health-focused surprise EP Reflections out today. Written in the wake of losing her father, the three-track EP includes a heartfelt titled “To Dad” where the artist begins to process her immense grief. Included on the project is a cover of The Lumineers’ “Gloria” that reimagines the original with Winn’s own personal touches.
Winn says, “Not You,” out today, “wrestles with a word difficult to say out loud – suicide. Especially about a loved one. I lost my own father to suicide this past Thanksgiving. We actually made the demo for this song over a year ago, before my own experiences, but I recorded it with A.J. Yorio in January and used it as a catharsis. I hope it helps others who have experienced the loss and resulting guilt, confusion, and pain associated with it.”
The forthcoming LP, Freeze Frame, produced and engineered by A.J. Yorio, sees Winn tackle the complexities of heavy topics like suicide, grief and anxiety. Recorded during a record snow storm in Cincinnati at Yorio’s home studio after globally touring with Michael Marcagi, the album came together naturally and the pair found their stride. Yorio reflects, “I had barely learned how to keep time on the drum kit, let alone learn how to record them correctly, when Matt Baione (Ginger’s co-writer) reached out and asked if I would want to get in the studio first-thing 2025 and make a record. My second son had just been born eight weeks earlier. When Ginger came in January we got snowed in for more than a week with record-breaking-flakes here in Cincinnati. Sharing my home and family with Ginger amidst the epic snowstorm felt like living in a really intriguing Netflix series. It was an utter blast.”
Without wanting to give away too much, Winn is looking forward to sharing her most personal project yet that marks a turning point in her life. Winn reveals, “I had never lost someone that close before. It shifted everything. We recorded in January, while the emotions were still raw. ‘Freeze Frame’ is a reflection of that—of change, of loss, of holding on to fleeting moments before they disappear.”
On the three incredibly personal tracks out today on the surprise project, Winn shares “‘Reflections’ is an EP about loss. Three songs, three different stories—each one a glimpse into the weight of grief, the echoes it leaves behind. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from experiencing deep loss, it’s that pain can shape something beautiful. Even in the darkest moments, there’s something worth holding onto.”
Born and raised in South Carolina, Ginger Winn has been singing and songwriting since age nine. In 2022, Winn began producing music for others online, and in 2024, shared her wistful debut album, STOP-MOTION, produced by David Baron (The Lumineers, Noah Kahan, Shawn Mendes). Atwood Magazine wrote the LP is “sweet, stirring, and sun-kissed..an intimate and honest snapshot of the full spectrum of emotion and experience, introducing a budding artist with a heart of gold and the voice to match.” Now, with new hardships and life experiences that color her forthcoming second project, Winn begins to artistically explore and present new parts of herself as she moves through the darkness and weight of grief like never before. The album’s first single, “Freezing” is out now.
The vulnerable new track “Not You” by Ginger Winn is out now alongside the new surprise EP Reflections also out now. On May 1, Winn and producer/musician A.J. Yorio will play live in Woodstock at Colony with tickets on sale now here. Keep up with Ginger Winn on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube for much more from the rising musician.
31. Jozzy – Maybe
Source:Jozzy
3x Grammy Award winner and RIAA Diamond-certified singer/songwriter Jozzy returns with “Maybe,” a bold, melodic reflection on blurred lines and emotional accountability, out now via RBC Records/BMG. “Maybe” is the first release from Jozzy’s forthcoming debut album, “Soundtrack 2 Get Her Back.” Listen HERE.
A meditation on mixed signals and emotional accountability, “Maybe” finds Jozzy at her most direct. “Don’t treat me like a maybe,” she sings — a line that lands less like a request and more like a final offering of grace. Produced by Bongo By The Way and Freaky Rob, the track is built on a smooth, mid-tempo groove that gives Jozzy space to deliver a grown and grounded ultimatum. She’s not asking for forever — just for honesty.
Jozzy’s signature blend of lyrical sharpness and melodic ease, the very formula she brought to hits like “Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X and “Body” by Summer Walker is ever-present on “Maybe.” Jozzy captures the complicated space between what we feel and what we say. It’s R&B that speaks to the mature heart — one that’s lived, loved, and learned how to set boundaries without losing softness.
With “Maybe”, Jozzy isn’t just contributing to the new wave of R&B — she’s helping lead it. As a proudly queer, Black woman who writes with intention and sings with conviction, she’s reshaping the genre from the inside out. Her work expands what R&B can look like, sound like, and feel like — grounded in real stories, emotional fluency, and cultural truth. With “Maybe”, Jozzy joins a new class of artists giving voice to stories that have long lived in the margins: nuanced, romantic, and unfiltered. She’s not chasing validation — she’s giving voice to a generation that demands realness and not just representation for representation’s sake.
32. Rylo Rodriguez ft. Rio Da Yung OG – Bring Bac Act
Source:Rylo Rodriguez
Platinum Alabama rap star Rylo Rodriguez (Glass Window Entertainment/Motown Records) returns triumphantly with his soul-laden record “Bring Bac Act” featuring Rio Da Young OG. Known for his elite storytelling abilities, Rylo thrives over soulful production, ruminating about his rugged past and gut-wrenching losses, including losing his close friends to the legal system. Rio Da Young OG matches Rylo’s raw candor with hard-nosed rhymes about dealing with snakes and overcoming adversity in the cold streets.
“Bring Bac Act” arrives after Rylo teamed back up with his partner-in-rhyme, Lil Baby, earlier this year. Rylo and Baby’s chemistry remains unmatched, as showcased on Baby’s Billboard 200 No. 1 album, WHAM, which featured their latest collaboration, “By Myself,” with Rod Wave.
Though Rylo’s 2024 consisted of his lone release, “85 Cutlass,” it demonstrated why he was one of the breakout artists of 2023. His album, Been One, debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 and No. 3 on the rap albums charts, proving why he’s the next best thing to come out of Alabama. Dubbed the Southern Prince of Rap Samples by Rolling Stone, Rylo’s triumph was matched by the success of “Thang For You” featuring No Cap, his first Hot 100 entry as a lead artist. This year, Rylo has proven to be a caliber feature artist, notching verses for Veeze (“F*cked a Fan”) and YTB Fatt (“Same” and “Pretty Brown”).
After signing to Lil Baby’s Glass Window Entertainment in 2020, Rylo Rodriguez’s penchant for flipping classic R&B songs into soulful hits became his calling card, as proven by songs like “Project Baby” and Valentines, which sample Mariah Carey and Tamia, respectively.
Previously making his grand entrance on Lil Baby’s 2018 gold-certified song “No Friends,” they continued their proven chemistry on “Cost to Be Alive.” Rylo elevated his songwriting prowess when he released his debut album, G.I.H.F. It became his first top 40 entry on the Billboard 200 and reached No. 2 on the Rolling Stone Breakthrough 25 in 2020.
33. NoMBe – In This Room
Source:NoMBe
Today, genre-blurring artist NoMBe returns with a lush, groove-laden single, “In This Room,” the latest release from his highly anticipated third album Diáspora (via Position Music). The song is a celebration of intimacy, escapism, and the comfort of love amidst chaos—wrapped in a warm blend of vocoder-driven vocals and hypnotic disco-inspired production.
Written by NoMBe alongside Mads Christensen and Mette Mortensen (of Off Bloom), “In This Room” was born in Copenhagen during a European songwriting trip. The morning after a deeply personal conversation with his ex-partner—centered around the insecurities of dating a touring artist—NoMBe sat at the piano and began writing what would become one of the most honest songs of his career.
“It’s a very special song to me. Probably one of the most straightforward love songs I’ve ever performed,” NoMBe shares. “But I just love how such a classic love song can become such a modern, experimental piece. It really highlights how much production can change the feeling of something.”
Channeling influences like Daft Punk, Jungle, NEIL FRANCES, and KAYTRANADA, “In This Room” captures a buoyant sense of nostalgia and emotion through modern textures and elevated sonics. The track stands as a strong reflection of what’s to come from Diáspora—a genre-defying album that honors the cultural monuments built by the African diaspora through music, fashion, and storytelling.
34. Gaby Moreno – Lamento
Source:Gaby Moreno
The Grammy-winning and 2x Latin Grammy-winning artist Gaby Moreno releases her captivating new short film Lamento starring acclaimed actor Tony Revolori (Spider-Man, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Asteroid City, The French Dispatch). Directed by Guatemalan filmmaker Diego Contreras, the film features an entire Guatemalan cast and is shot at the ruins of an abandoned beach resort reclaimed by the sea. The striking film accompanies Gaby’s new single of the same name which was produced by Gaby and Cheche Alara. Lamento reveals a staggering universe that exists somewhere between reality and fantasy to tell a deeply hopeful and equally forlorn story.
Lamento is a poetic and metaphorical reflection on time, memory, the immigrant journey, and the looming impact of climate change, starring Grammy-winning artist Gaby Moreno and actor Tony Revolori. Set against the surreal, haunting backdrop of an abandoned Guatemalan beach resort slowly reclaimed by the sea and teetering on the edge of disappearance, the film follows Gaby on a poignant journey to rediscover a place from her childhood, now on the brink of destruction. Accompanied by a local fisherman (Tony Revolori) and a mysterious companion, FINITOR—a flying obsidian rock with a 3D-scanning lens—they strive to capture and immortalize the soul and memory of a life and land they left behind, before it all fades away. Inspired by the personal experiences of both Moreno and director Diego Contreras—who left Guatemala at 18 to build their lives in Los Angeles—the film pays tribute to their roots while embracing the pursuit of new horizons in Hollywood and beyond.
Lamento has already impressively won multiple awards across film festivals including the Indie Short Fest, Europe Music Video Awards, and the Venice Shorts Film Awards, and still more to come – full list below.
Additionally, the film received a special screening last night at Harmony Gold in Los Angeles for a moving night of celebration and community. Attending friends, family, peers, and fans joined by the cast to do a Q&A for the film between Gaby, Tony, and Diego who discussed the creation process, shed light on their reflections and touched on the larger and essential topics at the core of the film.
35. Caldwell ft. Sexyy Red – Beer & Baddies
Source:Caldwell – Topic
Following the success of ‘Get Out The Way’, his country-drill fusion track with Brooklyn drill pioneer Fivio Foreign, championed by the likes of Spotify, VIBE Magazine, and Earmilk, rising South Carolina pop-country musician CALDWELL has linked up with award-winning St. Louis rap sensation SEXYY RED for another massive genre-defying collaboration titled ‘BEER & BADDIES’, out now via Plush Records, ADA, and Warner Music. Co-produced by Caldwell and Jordi (Snoop Dogg, Lil Baby, David Guetta), and engineered by Grammy Award-winning musician Leandro ‘Dro’ Hidalgo (LISA, Stormzy, Tyla), ‘Beer & Baddies’ sees Caldwell and Sexyy Red blending their southern swagger with bold hip-hop energy, and an unmistakable pop-rap flair to create a party starter for the summer.
The track is a glorious celebration of freedom, flirtation, and unapologetic fun, inspired by Caldwell and Sexyy Red’s southern roots and the high-energy culture of tailgates, barbecues, and party nights. Serving as both a tribute to youthful recklessness, and a soundtrack for letting loose, ‘Beer & Baddies’ pairs country storytelling and melodic hooks with heavy 808s, bouncing beats, Caldwell’s anthemic swagger, and Sexyy Red’s signature unfiltered bars. Her verse is the show-stealer – raw, raunchy, and dripping in confidence – as she flips the track into a fiery celebration of feminine power, ratchet glamour, and southern heat. Their chemistry is electric, and the result is a genre-smashing anthem that feels equally at home on a Nashville backroad or a Miami club floor.
With Caldwell riding high on the success of ‘Get Out The Way’, and as he gears up to release his debut album later this year, the South Carolina pop-country riser – who already boasts two iTunes #1 singles – is not resting on his laurels. ‘Beer & Baddies’ sees him delivering some of his best genre-bending and forward-thinking offerings yet, with the help of the Hood Hottest Princess herself Sexyy Red, who is coming off her biggest 12 months yet. Having been nominated for five BET Awards last summer, and landing her latest mixtape In Sexyy We Trust on the Billboard 200 Albums Chart top 20, Big Sexyy closed out 2024 winning ‘Best Breakthrough Hip Hop Artist’ at the BET Hip Hop Awards, and began 2025 with the massive hit single ‘Fat Juicy & Wet’ featuring Bruno Mars.
Speaking about the inspiration for ‘Beer & Baddies’, Caldwell says, “It’s all about self-expression and being young, wild and free. Coming from the South, we love a good beer, and love a better baddie. Ultimately, ‘Beer & Baddies’ is a celebration of fusing the sounds and cultures that I grew up on, bringing the country influence and merging it with a hip-hop twist. Sexyy Red and I wanted this track to bring the hype, high energy and fun to the scene, and I’d say we achieved our goal. ‘Beer & Baddies’ is a party starter, and Sexyy did her thing on the track. She’s the baddest baddie of them all, and working with her on this track just made absolute sense – we made some fire together”.

37. Suubi – Growth
Source:Suubi
Making an impactful debut out of Kampala, Uganda, 21-year-old R&B singer, songwriter, and phenomenon Suubi introduces himself and a striking signature sound on his new single “Growth” available now via Free Lunch/Warner Records. Listen HERE. Watch the official visualizer HERE.
Suubi spikes R&B with a different kind of soul and spirit accented by Afrobeats. Taking the reins as a 360-degree creator, he notably wrote, produced, and recorded “Growth” in his bedroom. The track’s wavy guitar loop fades in over grainy feedback, giving his voice space to shine. Singing straight from the heart, he confesses, “I don’t know where we went wrong.” While an 808-laden beat accelerates the tempo, the chantable chorus gets lifted up in the grip of his high register as he proclaims, “Oh, I’m not ready to go home alone.” Straight out of the gate, “Growth” asserts him as a dynamic and diverse breaking talent.
Directed by Anastasia Duchess, the accompanying visualizer showcases this energy on-screen. Suubi performs solo in a studio flanked by speakers. Under shadows and soft lighting, he emanates undeniable charisma and raw emotion all at once. It only sets the stage for a whole lot more to come.
Suubi first embraced music as a kid in Kampala, learning how to play piano and write songs on his own. He eventually settled in Maryland, caught the attention of Free Lunch, and inked a deal with the label in partnership with Warner Records.

38. Momo Boyd – American Love Song
Source:MomoBoydMusic
Today, Infinity Song’s Momo Boyd releases her anticipated single “American Love Song,” now available to stream HERE via Roc Nation Distribution. This single comes complete with a nostalgic music video that you can now watch HERE.
Written and performed by Momo herself, “American Love Song” explores the tension between love and independence in American culture. The song invites listeners to reflect on the state of love in today’s world, questioning whether love fits alongside the pursuit of personal autonomy and strength. “If I wasn’t so American, I might love you more, but giving up my independence goes against my core” Momo sings, striking at the heart of this cultural dilemma.
With this song, Momo sought to create a deeply emotional, honest and personal song that explores the complexities of love, heartbreak and the American identity in a way that invites open interpretation. Its blend of ethereal vocals and soulful instrumentation creates an intimate, introspective atmosphere that challenges the listener to consider the role of love in today’s fast-paced, independence-focused world.
Originally recorded as a demo on Momo’s phone and shared on Soundcloud, “American Love Song” quickly gained traction, especially after this Instagram video received an interaction from R&B star, SZA. “Recording this song was a really raw and authentic moment for me,” Momo shared. “It was simple but powerful, and the response I received inspired me to take it further.”
The music video encapsulates the essence of American culture with a vintage style that creates a nostalgic energy. Flashing from a wedding at the chapel to a horse ranch, the visual truly allows listeners to embark on this emotional journey with Momo.
The release of “American Love Song” comes just ahead of Infinity Song’s World Tour II, which will see the band performing across the U.S. in cities like Atlanta, New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Texas, as well as international dates in Japan, Paris, Amsterdam, and more. Tickets are available now HERE.
“American Love Song” follows the release of Infinity Song’s Live Album which captured the electrifying energy and raw emotion that Infinity Song is known for. The album includes viral hits from their critically acclaimed June 2024 album, Metamorphosis Complete, such as “Hater’s Anthem,” “Slow Burn,” “Sinking Boat,” and more. Alongside the live album, they also released a captivating music video for “Sinking Boat,” which had already made waves across social media, accumulating nearly 10 million combined views across IG Reels.
Most recently, Rolling Stone featured the band as an artist “you need to know” and earlier this month Time Out highlighted them as their March digital cover star, deeming their release the soundtrack of the spring in NYC.
Since Momo, four of her talented siblings and their family’s boutique music company, Peace Industry Music Group, signed to Roc Nation in 2016, Infinity Song has captured attention from Hollywood’s biggest names including Lenny Kravitz, Doja Cat, Kelly Rowland, Janet Jackson, Anne Hathaway and more.
39. NLE Choppa ft. Carey Washington – Hard Life
Source:NLE CHOPPA
Memphis rap star NLE Choppa continues an incredible expectation-defying streak with “HARD LIFE” featuring Carey Washington, a moving new single and the main song from his feature-film debut, Black Heat, which hits theaters today. The cut is a prayer from Choppa to his kids that underscores the theme of the action-thriller he costars in. Listen HERE via NLE Entertainment / Warner Records. Watch the Black Heat trailer HERE.
Haunted yet hopeful and intimate yet epic, “HARD LIFE” has a gravitas that’s driven home by Choppa’s deep and melodic vocals. Backed by dramatic piano and soulful cries co-produced by Paul Koch, Choppa shares a wish for his children: “Pray to the Lord protect my son while I ride through the night / Keep my daughter aura shining bright like a light / It’s a hard life, it’s a hard life / May my son grow old and be a gentleman of people, pray that my daughter become the humblest of divas.” He later evokes his hero Tupac Shakur, referring to them as “two rose petals that grew from concrete.”
The song is central to Black Heat, which follows the journey of two determined parents who venture into an unfamiliar world to rescue their teenage daughter from the grip of a powerful and ruthless pimp — King David, played harrowingly by Choppa who acts alongside Jason Mitchell (Straight Outta Compton, Keanu, Zola) and DreamDoll. Memphis’ own Wes Miller directs.
With his weighty new song and striking acting turn, Choppa continues to challenge perceptions of what a rap artist can be. In February, he released a pair of deeply thoughtful singles in honor of Black History Month. Most recent was “Crescent Moon,” an unfiltered look at the realities of life in the hood and his own journey to rise above circumstances that once sought to define him. Before that came the powerful anti-gun-violence anthem “CAN WE LIVE?” with B.O.A Mook, full of hard-hitting social commentary that sheds light on the pressures of street survival.
Choppa also kicked off 2025 in a big way with “Dare U,” his high-energy collaboration with Imagine Dragons that has racked up over 23.8 million global streams and earned widespread acclaim. Billboard hailed the genre-blending smash as “an explosive collaboration,” while VIBE took the opportunity to dub Choppa “the people’s champion.” Meanwhile, his upbeat and often sultry December project, PICASSO: SLUFFIN SZN X SLUT SZN — featuring guest turns from Skilla Baby, Summer Walker, T-Pain, Yung Bleu, and more —was praised by Complex as “a bold and versatile work.” With over 9.6 billion global streams and 24 RIAA-certified plaques, the 22-year-old artist remains a force of nature, refusing to be boxed in by industry expectations.
Beyond music, Choppa stands as a beacon of resilience and growth. His community activism — including his This Can’t Be Vegan food truck and literacy initiatives — proves his dedication to uplifting those who walk the same streets he once did. Whether through fashion, philanthropy, or film, he continues to redefine the modern hip-hop artist, leading with purpose and authenticity.
