We got some exciting news about one of the brightest up-and-coming stars in the WNBA this week (December 17th). Continue reading to get the scoop!

Unrivaled, the groundbreaking professional women’s basketball league cofounded by Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart, announced thatLos Angeles Sparks standout Cameron Brink is the latest athlete to join the league, which tips off in Miami January 2025. The league shared the news on their official Instagram account.

Unfortunately, Cam Brink’s rookie season was cut short when she tore her ACL in her left knee during a game against the Connecticut Sun on June 18th, 2024. The Lunar Owls decided to bet on the future through signing Brink to a multi-year deal, with the understanding that her injury would sideline her for the inaugural season. Cam will be joining the Lunar Owls in preseason training to continue working on her rehab with Susan Borchardt, whom she has an existing training relationship with, along with the rest of the Unrivaled performance staff. Cam will also take part in marketing and other promotional opportunities throughout the season.

Brink is the latest addition to Unrivaled, joining previously announced players including Stewart (New York Liberty), Collier (Minnesota Lynx), Chelsea Gray (Las Vegas Aces), Arike Ogunbowale (Dallas Wings), Jewell Loyd (Seattle Storm), Kelsey Plum (Las Vegas Aces), Rhyne Howard (Atlanta Dream), Kahleah Copper (Phoenix Mercury), Jackie Young (Las Vegas Aces), Angel Reese (Chicago Sky), Dearica Hamby (Los Angeles Sparks), Kayla McBride (Minnesota Lynx), Marina Mabrey (Connecticut Sun), Satou Sabally (Dallas Wings), Allisha Gray (Atlanta Dream), Natasha Cloud (Phoenix Mercury), Skylar Diggins-Smith (Seattle Storm), Rickea Jackson (Los Angeles Sparks), DiJonai Carrington (Phoenix Mercury), Courtney Vandersloot (New York Liberty), Brittney Sykes (Washington Mystics), Shakira Austin (Washington Mystics), and Tiffany Hayes (Las Vegas Aces).

The innovative player-owned league is changing the landscape of women’s basketball. A league owned by players, Unrivaled athletes will have equity and a vested interest in its success. Led by Commissioner Micky Lawler and President Alex Bazzell, the league will also feature historic contract opportunities offering the highest average salary in women’s professional sports league history. Featuring 30 of the top women’s basketball players across six teams for a 3-on-3, compressed full court style of play, Unrivaled will deliver the most entertaining and competitive form of the sport for fans.

Unrivaled is backed by legendary athletes and industry titans, including Alex Morgan, Megan Rapinoe, Carmelo Anthony, Steve Nash, Gary Vaynerchuck, Ann Sarnoff, John Skipper, and David Levy. Earlier this summer in July, Unrivaled announced its first and founding partnerAlly Financial. Ally will serve as the official retail banking partner of the league, with widescale visibility across several facets of the league: including as the jersey patch partner for all six teams, activating hospitality and fan engagement opportunities, appearing in online/digital content and in-arena signage.
