Conservative media nonprofit, PragerU, is quietly infiltrating classrooms across the U.S. Despite its name, it’s not affiliated with an actual university and its’ far-right educational practices are raising serious concerns. Read more and watch a short viral video clip about this alarming new platform shaking tables across the U.S. education system inside.

PragerU is not a university but a platform producing short, highly polished videos that push a strong right-wing agenda. These videos, like “What Radical Islam and the Woke Have in Common” and “Is There Really a Climate Emergency?” are designed to appeal to young audiences, particularly college students and even K-12 students in public schools.

The real danger? PragerU’s content is now approved as supplemental learning material in at least seven states, including Texas and Florida. Backed by wealthy supporters, the nonprofit’s videos have made their way into public school curriculums, subtly indoctrinating students with biased views on climate change, race, and other critical issues. For example, PragerU downplays the climate crisis and pushes dangerous rhetoric around race, attempting to reframe systemic racism and oppression through a conservative lens.

In a video shared by NPR two days ago, the animated video can be heard saying, “being taken as a slave is better than being killed, no?” This wild commentary caused widespread concern in the comments with social media users sharing their opinions on the dangers and implications of the platform on impressionable children.

This move to target young students has sparked concern among educators and activists who argue that PragerU’s content lacks factual grounding and serves as propaganda. The push to introduce this material into classrooms could have a long-lasting impact, shaping students’ perspectives on important societal issues in ways that could stifle critical thinking.

PragerU’s growing influence isn’t slowing down. With plans to launch a new early-literacy show, the nonprofit aims to reach younger audiences, potentially embedding its far-right ideas into the minds of kids before they even have the tools to question it.

By promoting heavily skewed views under the guise of “education,” PragerU poses a serious threat to balanced, fact-based learning. As its content continues to spread, it’s more important than ever for parents, educators, and policymakers to push back against this ideological takeover in the classroom.
