Homecoming is an opportunity for students, alumni, and the greater community to gather at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) across the country in celebration of Black excellence and traditions.
Between the homecoming games, parties, performances, and more, it’s the perfect time to get together with friends and make lasting memories. Of course, it’s not a proper homecoming without a game night or a card table. And with that in mind, HBCU student-athletes Reiven Douglas and Caleb Grant are coming through with the necessities. Whether they’re flexing their meme knowledge or rocking the karaoke mic, these go-to party games are sure to create unforgettable moments and plenty of laughs.
Reiven’s Pick: Growing Up Black Memes
Off the basketball court, Reiven and her teammates unwind with a game of Growing Up Black Memes. In each round, the North Carolina A&T senior pulls a card featuring a hilarious and iconic meme, before her friends compete to choose the funniest caption card for it. Relive social media’s wildest viral moments with Growing Up Black Memes and find out who in your crew out-memes the rest.
Caleb’s Pick: Kulture Karaoke
Caleb and his teammates show off their playlist favorites in Kulture Karaoke, a Black-founded game that challenges them to switch into performance mode. In each round they’ll draw a card featuring a music category, choose a track, and grab the mic. Categories range from “Favorite Rapper” to “That’s My Jam” and with Kulture Karaoke, you’ll always know which song to rock next.
Keep the party going at homecoming with these games and more, available at Target.
