2. Zelgin Jackson

Source:Zelgin Jackson

Taking fellow Virginia native Pharrell Williams‘ encouring words “I did it, you can do it, too” to heart, Zelgin Jackson liberates his new Hip-Hop album ‘Chapter 1: Dedication‘ via UnitedMasters. Serving as the sequel to 2023’s ‘The Prologue,’ Zelgin’s latest body of work continues to help tell his unique story while revolving around broader themes of romance, relationships, and heartache.

Notable contributors to this project include manager Robert Frampton, engineer Kyle Williams, and another hometown hero named Lockedinkee in addition to a collection of producers he met through social media.

It’s obvious that the RVA based recording artist has earned more confidence since dropping his last body of work after perfecting melodies, strengthening his pen, and upgrading his beat selection. Every word has meaning and the dedication to his craft is on full display.

“This is the second album out of a collection of music that is personal to me and updates my audience on emotions, feelings, and dilemmas I’m currently experiencing. In continuation with ‘The Prologue,’ ‘Chapter 1: Dedication’ was released on my birthday (Feb. 19th) as well. The emotions in this new album are raw and open,” ZJ tells Medium Creative Agency in a press statement about projects origins.

3. Amanda Reifer – RUDUMB?

Source:Amanda Reifer

2x GRAMMY Award-nominated artist Amanda Reifer serves up a bold new single entitled “RUDUMB?” produced by Pharrell Williams and co-written by Amanda Reifer and K. Lamar, out now via Title 9 / Atlantic Records. It notably marks her very first collaboration with Pharrell, and it lands as the third single from her anxiously awaited debut solo album, The Reifer Files, coming this Spring. The vibrant artwork was created by Korean contemporary artist ZiBEZI, best known for his iconic painting featured in the Oscar-winning film Parasite.

From the moment the beat kicks in, “RUDUMB?” feels like classic Pharrell with its slick bass thump and instantly recognizable drums. Amanda slips right into this slinky groove, and it fits like a glove. Taking charge without apology and bossing up, her confident cadence dominates the field as she teases, “Drop everything you got for a Bad Bajan.” It climaxes on the funky and fiery refrain, “I mean I get it, but I don’t. RUDUMB, boy? What do you want?” This danceable banger could ignite any party from Barbados to Virginia Beach and back again.

On “RUDUMB?” Amanda Reifer shares, “‘RUDUMB?’ is a song born out of frustration of being underestimated as a woman in the world; in career, in love, in business. Working in the studio with masters will really bring out parts of yourself that you’ve tucked away or have been shy to explore, and I’m so grateful to have been given the space and environment by these prolific men to create a record like this. When we wrote this record I really wanted to give voice to that part of being a woman that is often forced to be censored and made small for the comfort of others. Sharpening my pen in the studio with the lyrical master K. Lamar and having so much fun doing it really brought  me confidence in expressing that women are multifaceted and we should take up the space that we deserve. ‘You need me in the room for the Feng shui!’ This song really taps into the audacious element of my album.”

The forthcoming project The Reifer Files traces a vibrant portrait of Amanda as not only an artist, but also as a creative, a lover, and a woman projected through an ever-evolving palette of musical moods, vibes, and storytelling. For more on Amanda Reifer click here.

4. Errol Holden – Supreme Magnetic

Source:Errol Holden

Today, rising New York MC Errol Holden, released his debut Roc Nation project Supreme Magnetic; which is now available.  You can also watch the new video for “Harlem Ni**as Always Gotta Demonstrate” below.

When we say rising MC, don’t take our word for it.  Cam’ron says “the best lyricists are from Harlem, go argue with your Mother,” as he has tapped Errol to be the first featured artist for his new Freestyle Friday’s platform; and also appeared with him.  Errol was also recently named one of Complex’s top 25 Rappers To Watch In 2025.

Previously aligned with Nas’ Mass Appeal imprint, Errol has now signed a distribution deal with Roc Nation and is also now affiliated with Roc Marciano’s PIMPIRE International imprint.  “Errol is something special; he is bringing game to the game” Roc Marciano shares.  “Shit is inspirational”!

Supreme Magnetic is an autobiographical crime and redemption television expose in audio form” Errol Holden declares.  “It will provide and in-depth and detailed realism about life in NYC/Harlem.  So much, that those who are not from here can smell the chicken wings frying from out of the Chinese restaurant; and can see the addicts in and out of building 151’s hallway.”

Errol has a very active 2025 lined up, including three full projects; but he sets the tone with Supreme Magnetic!

In 2019, Errol Holden transitioned from the roof to the booth. The artist side of Errol found solace in writing his life in verse. Those thoughts and accounts of life eventually resulted in a handful of self-released projects, presented to customers directly through social media outreach, only to discover people valued the work to the point of paying sizable sums. “I am a lifelong criminal in transformation, and music has shown me that you don’t have to do bad” Errol states.

“Nobody knew my real name until I started rapping,” shares Errol Holden. Now, the emerging New York City artist is making an impression with his identity. After years of hustling on rooftops and navigating the badlands of his concrete and steel universe, Errol creates art that shares vivid imagery and grim humanity.

Raised between Harlem and The Bronx in a Panamanian-American household, Errol has only had two jobs in his life.  One, working for famed Harlem fashion designer Dapper Dan, the other in the Harlem River Houses library, ended with the adolescent taking paychecks. Even before then, the teen known as “H-O” in the streets, hustled hard. After he dropped out of high school he took to making money on 123rd, 111th Street, and other corridors within the boroughs, as well as in Pittsburgh, South Carolina, and upstate. That lifestyle lasted decades, complete with incarceration, fractured family dynamics, and a myriad of valleys and peaks.

Errol Holden’s Supreme Magnetic is now available via Roc Nation.

The instantly recognizable chorus melts into a slow-burning reggae groove fueled by a head-nodding beat and smoldering verses.

“It’s modern, but it pays homage to Maxi Priest. I loved the idea of bringing this great song to the new generation.” The young Marley shares. “On one hand, I’m reminiscing about a girl. For me, there’s a bigger meaning too. The song hints that I’m back and about to begin another chapter.”

21. Aqyila – Wolf

Source:Aqyila

Canadian R&B star Aqyila continues her unstoppable 2025 with the release of her latest track, “Wolf,” which is accompanied by a stunning, stylized music video, out today from Sony Music Entertainment Canada. She has also announced the release of her debut album, Falling Into Place, out March 28.

Written by Aqyila, Mike Sonier (Noah Cyrus, Maggie Rogers, The Weeknd, Julia Michaels), and Soaky Siren (Tiesto, Jason Derulo, Pitbull, J.Balvin, Maroon 5, Tinashe), and produced by Mike Sonier, “Wolf” is an upbeat pop anthem from Canada’s reigning R&B princess. Following a series of confident releases, the track reinforces Aqyila’s unyielding sense of self and her refusal to settle. It’s a bold response to a man who has “cried wolf” one too many times—”you and truth are incompatible,” she sings, making it clear she’s had enough.

“My earlier releases from this album were all about feeling confident, knowing who I am, and staying grounded. This track is a little bolder, a bit playful, but also fearless,” says Aqyila. “2025? Let’s talk boundaries,” she adds with a laugh.

Falling Into Place represents a significant milestone for Aqyila. “There’s no such thing as overnight success,” she reflects. “This debut album is the culmination of years of hard work, growth, and learning. All the pieces finally feel like they’re coming together, and I can’t wait to share it with the world.”

In 2024, Aqyila earned a JUNO Award for ‘Traditional R&B/Soul Recording of the Year’ for her song “Hello”; achieved viral success with “Bloom”; and released “Most Wanted,” which included collaborations with Nike and Tribal Carnival. She also presented at the Legacy Awards, performed both in Canada and abroad—including a set at UK singer Mahalia’s iconic “Mahalia Presents” series at the Jazz Café in Camden, London—and headlined her first sold-out show in her hometown of Toronto.

The momentum has only grown in 2025. Aqyila is currently on a North American tour supporting Pink Sweat$ and has earned two JUNO nominations: ‘Contemporary R&B Recording of the Year’ for “Bloom” and ‘Traditional R&B/Soul Recording of the Year’ for “Limbo.” She will also take the stage as a featured performer at this year’s JUNO Awards broadcast on March 30, airing on CBC.

Aqyila’s songwriting, lyricism, and performances continue to reach new heights—and she’s just getting started.

25. Lyric Jones – In Due Time

Source:Lyric Jones

On the heels of her Warm Audio performance at the 2025 NAMM Show, LA-based singer, DJ and multihyphenate Lyric Jones returns with “In Due Time”, her first new single of the new year released today (2/28/2025) on all major digital streaming platforms. After penning the lyrics to the song over a different instrumental, Lyric left the song untouched for nearly two years. With the eventual help from producer Ian Wallace, “In Due Time” was able to come closer to its final form. The track was finally pushed through to the finish line with the addition of a guest verse from UHMEER. “Initially, this song was just a demo with a rap verse by me”, Lyric explains. “I eventually reworked the lyrics to fit seamlessly with the new production ideas Ian sent over, then we finalized it over a few Zoom sessions together. The real breakthrough came after my first in-person meeting with UHMEER at DJ Jazzy Jeff’s most recent PLAYLIST retreat late last year. While I had already been familiar with UHMEER’s awesome work, it was here where I finally met him in person and reconnected with Ian. And the rest is history.”

Everyone always says, ‘In due time’, ‘Keep going’ etc. That’s been my life’s anthem. This song is me holding onto hope that my hard work and connections aren’t for nothing… As I shift gears a little into a space creatively and genre wise, I’m hoping this path is the one that finally leads to the success I’ve been working hard for. It’s kind of a call back to my last album titled ‘Closer Than They Appear’… This song went through many phases over two years, showing how creativity unfolds—and just like its message, everything pulled together in its own time.” – Lyric Jones

26. Paris Texas – They Left Me With A Gun

Source:Paris Texas

Fresh off of releasing their new EP last week, Paris Texas surprises with a second new project, They Left Me With A Gun. Serving as the second of two anthologies that began with last week’s They Left Me With The Sword, the new EP takes a different sonic approach than its predecessor. Where Sword followed a fluid, linear arc to its sound, Gun tears up that script, embracing harsher, experimental sounds across six unpredictable tracks. They Left Me With A Gun is accompanied by a second music video paired with the visual for They Left Me With The Sword, completing the story of these two anthology projects. Both music videos are co-written by Louie Pastel, Felix and Dan Streit, (Charli XCX, BROCKHAMPTON, A$AP Rocky), who also directed both EP visuals.

Both EPs were made in the months leading up to Paris Texas embarking on the biggest tour of their career. Louie and Felix are currently on the CHROMAKOPIA world tour with Tyler, The Creator and Lil Yachty, playing six sold out hometown shows at Crypto.com Arena in LA last week before touring up the East Coast. The tour will play shows across North America, The United Kingdom and Europe, and Australia & New Zealand in 2025.

They Left Me With The Sword and They Left Me With A Gun are spiritual sequels to the duo’s 2021 EP Red Hand Akimbo, which included fan-favorite single “girls like drugs”. Louie and Felix are ushering in the next phase of their ever-expanding visions for Paris Texas with these two anthologies, narrated by a secret, eerily familiar voice. On both EPs, the duo took a more collaborative approach than their previous projects, with longtime friends and collaborators Billy Lemos and Dilip central to it coming together.

With the all-around world-building of their two early EPs Boy Anonymous and Red Hand Akimbo, Paris Texas cemented themselves as one of the most exciting new voices in music with MID AIR, which was critically lauded by the likes of Vulture, i-D, The FADER & more.

Listen to They Left Me With A Gun above, see more EP info and all remaining dates on the Chromakopia tour below, and keep an eye out for more from Paris Texas.

28. TiaCorine – Ate

Source:TiaCorine

Today, genre-bending rap phenom TiaCorine kicks in doors with the hard-hitting “Ate,” out now via Interscope Records. As the new single swan dives into the stuttering, bass-blasted world of drill, the rising artist celebrates the fact that she’s eating while her rivals struggle to keep up

Produced by Pooh Beatz, Go Grizzly, Cheeze Beatz, and Icarus, “Ate” drops TiaCorine into a rattling soundscape of futuristic synths and blasted drums. She stays on top, switching between taunting tones and hard bars as she brags about bleeding men dry with the verve of a folk legend in the making: “I take everything from these n—-s and give it to b—–s, I sound like a hero / Bad b—- Robin Hood, I get dollars, yen, euros.”

The “Ate” video, directed by Fred Focus, drives home TiaCorine’s wild charisma and God-given dominance as she strolls into a bar and not only quickly becomes the center of attention, but transforms the night into a chaotic rager. It’s a reminder that the North Carolina artist is careening toward a major breakthrough following releases like last year’s kaleidoscopic “Different Color Stones,” a gift to fans as she works on her next album.

TiaCorine is coming off a powerful 2024 in which she dropped her critically acclaimed Almost There EP, shared the scorching hot “Shamone” music video, teamed with Luh Tyler for “Yung Joc,” and let loose a wild verse alongside A$AP Ferg on Denzel Curry’s summer single “HOT ONE.” Following the EP release, Rolling Stone spoke to TiaCorine for an in-depth interview, and The FADER applauded how Almost There “highlights just how far her chameleonic versatility can stretch.” She also embarked on her first-ever headlining US tour.

It all started with TiaCorine’s debut album, I Can’t Wait, led by breakout track “FreakyT,” which inspired a viral dance trend and soared up the Urban Mainstream and Billboard Hip Hop/R&B charts. Her momentum grew across 2023, when she made the XXL Freshman Class and scored “Artist to Watch” nods from Rolling Stone, COMPLEX, Pigeons & Planes, Zane Lowe, Our Generation Music, and more. Cosigns from the likes of Drake, Flo Milli, and the late, great Gangsta Boo followed, as well a direct support slot with Key Glock and festival appearances including Dreamville Festival, Rolling Loud Miami, Day N Vegas, and Rolling Loud NYC.

29. Sports Team – Maybe When We’re 30

Source:Sports Team

Today, SPORTS TEAM released their new single “Maybe When We’re 30.” A gentle euphoric anthem, celebrating coupledom at its most mundane, and drawing on sounds from Britpop to melancholic new wave. Listen HERE and watch official music video directed by the band HERE.

Lyricist Rob Knaggs elaborates, “It’s a song for Brooklyn Beckham. When you start  off in a band you feel like Slurms Mackenzie (the Futurama party slug). You can’t  believe it’s your job to travel around the world and drink beer and make music with  your friends. And then one morning you look around, and all your friends are getting  married, and you think, maybe all I really want is to grow old, and get a dog, and  write horrible things about Brooklyn Beckham on Facebook, and go on cruises, and  have petty disputes with my neighbours about whether the council recycles  cardboard.”

Sports Team talked exclusively to American Songwriter about the single, and their forthcoming album, stating “the single touches on a particular brand of British couple core–mainly settling down in suburban neighborhoods and living comfortably–could be mistaken for a satire or a dismissal of this culture.” As Sports Team explains to American Songwriter, the song is “being very sincere… it’s not playing for laughs.” Elsewhere, Under The Radar described the track as “a melodic, uplifting tribute to everyday relationships, blending influences from classic British pop to wistful new wave sounds.”

“Maybe When We’re 30” will feature on Sports Team’s upcoming studio album,  Boys These Days, out May 23rd on Distiller Records/Bright Antenna. Alex Rice, Oli  Dewdney, Al Greenwood, Rob Knaggs, Ben Mack, and Henry Young recorded Boys  These Days with producer Matias Tellez (Girl In Red, CMAT, Gracie Abrams) in his  Bergen Norwegian studio.

Sports Team marked their return last summer with the release of “I’m In Love  (Subaru)” followed by second single ‘Condensation’, revealing a dramatic shift in  gears in their songwriting and showcasing the band at their brightest and most  beguiling yet. ‘Bang Bang Bang’ was the third track to be unveiled from their  forthcoming new album Boys These Days which boasts some of Sports Team’s most  dynamic musical performances to date and features hand painted artwork by Rob  Knaggs. The album is Sports Team’s third and follows top 3 albums Deep Down  Happy and Gulp!

Boys These Days is a witty and insightful examination of modern life, exploring the  dissonance of our social media feeds that unleash an endless cycle upon us of porn,  tragedy, war, violence, sex, money, inspirational quotes, no narrative. No unifying  myth. Just “the churn” as Sports Team term it.

Boys These Days is available to pre-order on CD, vinyl and cassette as well as a  number of exclusive limited-edition formats including a signed test pressing and  picture disc vinyl.

Pre-save BOYS THESE DAYS ALBUM

Sports Team are Alex Rice (vocals), Robert Knaggs (lyrics, backing vocals, rhythm  guitar), Henry Young (lead guitar, lap steel), Oli Dewdney (bass), Al Greenwood  (drums) and Ben Mack (synths, piano & percussion).

Now, two generational sparks of talent combine: ARCA, known for her innovative soundscapes and genre-pushing electronic experimentation, manages to bring out a new side to the already expansive original.

Speaking on the collaboration, HIKARU UTADA comments: “It was an honor, and it was really exciting because I didn’t know what to expect. There’s an unmistakable Arca sound, yet she draws from such a beautiful range of music and experiences that you never really know what you’re going to get. What we got was incredible and beautiful. I’m very happy and excited to have had this opportunity to collaborate with her.”

ARCA adds, “It’s a song that’s so full of life and so vibrant and so much about a warmth, a connection that can’t be broken. I wanted to do my best to recontextualize it sonically from the original, which is already so amazing, and try to do something different. In this instance, I wanted to go for something celebrational and to make it as electric as the song title implied – euphoric even.”

Today’s remix follows the release of “Electricity (Karen Nyame KG Remix),” an Afrobeat-infused take that flips the synthy earworm into a soulful dance floor anthem.

38. Koyal – breathe in.breathe out

Source:Koyal

Today, Los Angeles via Atlanta-based indie pop/rock trio Koyal share their honest, dazzling second studio album breathe in. breathe out out everywhere now alongside the official lyric video for the pensive, measured tune “half alive.” Filled with glistening melodies, bubbling production and slick instrumentation, the album is an earnest look at life’s ups and downs and offers solace with unwavering optimism and understanding.

The group will officially celebrate the record with a release show at The Virgil in Los Angeles on April 25 with tickets on sale now here.

The triumphant, glowing project, breathe in. breathe out, is a meditation on allowing oneself to break free of fear, resistance, familial expectations, and other obstacles in the way of pursuing authenticity and creating art. Vocalist Pooja Prabakaran is proud to present a project that is both honest and joyful. “I’m so proud of how open, raw, and vulnerable we were in writing this album. It’s sure to make people both dance and introspect!”

It was recorded in Philadelphia at Dr. Dog’s rehearsal space and studio, Headroom Studios, co-produced by guitarist Noah Weinstein and Philadelphia-based musician Jeff Lucci (Mo Lowda & the Humble), and engineered by Ian Steinberg, a childhood friend of Weinstein. The group is thrilled to share a body of work that represents who they are today as they chart all new territory, face their fears, take risks and firmly, excitedly introduce themselves.

Weinstein shares, “I’m so grateful to have co-produced this album with Jeff Lucci leading me through new waters, as ‘breathe in. breathe out’ is by far the biggest record I’ve worked on. It took a lot of meditation to decide the sonic direction of the album, but working with Wallace and Pooja, we channeled our shared experiences and tastes to create a signature rich indie pop sound that we are incredibly proud of.” There was additional production by Atlanta producer and multi-instrumentalist Tony Doud and Desmond Myers and was mixed by Harper James and mastered by Joe LaPorta.

Out today with the album is “half alive,” a building ballad about what it means to really live, and the desire to be the best one can be, alongside its sunset-soaked lyric video with animations by Prabakaran. On the track, the vocalist shares, “It came to me after months of feeling creatively stifled by a job I felt pushed into. I woke up at 4AM with the song in my head and recorded a voice note in the dark.” Sonically their most creative yet, the track features hundreds of tracks filled with various unique sounds that were created by running instruments through pedals, recorded by distant amps in another room, and then run through even more gear. Prabakaran continues, “They even had me sing into guitar pickups for my doubles. It is dramatic, cinematic and long, but the slow burn is worth the wait. The animations exemplify the slow burn of half alive and explode at the end when the drums and guitars are wailing ‘set me free!’”

Koyal is made up of best friends Pooja Prabakaran (vocals), Noah Weinstein (guitar/producer) and Wallace (drums) who met in their Atlanta college basement and each earned engineering degrees. Fueled by their tight-knit friendship and shared love of Glass Animals, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and GROUPLOVE, the three friends began writing songs and have since amassed a loyal following with their genre-defying sound, dazzling instrumentation and relatable lyricism. The group played at Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival last year, and in 2023, sold out their hometown venue and set out on an East Coast tour. Now, after a string of singles released earlier this year and their new album out in the world, the trio aims to solidify their place in the rising indie pop/rock sphere with their hearts on their sleeves.

On the genre-blending, heartfelt collection breathe in. breathe out, out everywhere now, Koyal navigate all of life’s trials and tribulations with the safety and comfort of each other. Celebrate the new music with an electrifying live show at The Virgil in Los Angeles on April 25. Get tickets here. Connect with the rising trio now on InstagramFacebook and YouTube.

39. Deitrick Haddon & Voices Of Unity – Find Jesus

Source:Deitrick Haddon

GRAMMY® Award nominated contemporary gospel music mainstay Deitrick Haddon has reteamed with his `90s era choir, Voices of Unity, for a new gem, “Find Jesus” (Tyscot Records). This acoustic guitar strummed, urban pop mid-tempo is a follow-up to Haddon’s recent Billboard Gospel Airplay No. 1 smash, “Never Be the Same.” On the bright tune, Haddon and his troupe are seeking divine intervention on a breezy, feel-good rumination that showcases Haddon’s distinctive high notes, low growls and a catchy refrain that should have congregations singing along around the globe.

Concurrently, Haddon recently rejoined his former wife DAMITA and former Voices of Unity choir member, Tasha Page Lockhart, for a remake of their 1997 track, “Hold on 2 Your Faith.” Deitrick Haddon & Voices of Unity mined a goldmine of cutting-edged urban gospel recordings in the late 1990s such as their now classic contemporary gospel songs such as “Who Is Like Our God,” “Anybody Here,” and their signature anthem, “He’s Able.” The first Voices of Unity album, Come into This House, was released in 1996 and it included fan favorites such as “Rain on Me” and “Don’t Give Up.” They won a Grammy® Award nomination for their 2007 album, Deitrick Haddon Presents Together in Worship, that featured the radio smashes “Watch Me Praise Him,” “We Cry Holy,” and “He’s Able.”

Today, rising R&B artist RealestK drops his emotionally charged new single “Deja Vu” via Standard Records/ADA Worldwide.

41. Alex Isley – Hands

Source:AlexIsleyTV

Silky. Timeless. Intimate. These words barely begin to capture the magic of Alex Isley, the GRAMMY®-nominated songstress whose voice feels like a warm embrace. With the release of her Free Lunch Records / Warner Records debut single “Hands,” Isley enters a fresh yet familiar space—where R&B’s golden past meets its most captivating future. Produced by CAMPER (Brandy, Doechii, H.E.R.), “Hands” reaffirms Alex’s place among this generation’s most gifted vocalists.

On “Hands,” Alex invites listeners into a dreamlike world of longing and deep connection. The track unfurls with raw electric guitar, its fretboard slides mimicking the intimacy of touch. Over a gentle tide of plush synths and slow-burning percussion, she sings:

“Been traveling and it’s been too long / The weeks feel like months since I’ve been gone / These sheets on my skin the only touch I’ve known / Nothing like the feeling that I left back home.”

Her voice—soft yet commanding—glides over the arrangement like silk, evoking both nostalgia and desire.

“There’s so much power in a touch that’s rooted in love and affection,” Alex shares. “The memory of it can remind you how much it’s really worth. This is an ode to really being in the moment with your person.”

The song’s accompanying visual mirrors this sentiment. Set against a smoky, low-lit club, Alex’s ethereal presence contrasts with fleeting, intimate moments between lovers. As time bends between past recollections and present yearning, the clip captures the depth and sensuality that define her artistry.

Alex Isley’s music feels destined, and for good reason. She carries the spirit of music in her DNA. Classically trained by her opera-singing Grandmother, Alex’s perfect pitch and exceptional technique are evident when she performs. Her father, Ernie Isley, is a member of the legendary group The Isley Brothers, who helped define rock & roll and R&B genres. While her lineage is undeniable, Alex’s music- which nods to jazz, hip-hop, and neo-soul- has forged her own artistic path, one rooted in vulnerability, storytelling, and vocal elegance.

From her self-produced debut, The Love/Art Memoirs, to the fan-favorite Wilton EP with Jack Dine, and her critically acclaimed I Left My Heart in Ladera with Terrace Martin, Alex has built a catalog that radiates sophistication and soul. Her 2023 take on Sade’s “Paradise“—a stunning reimagining that placed her squarely in the lineage of R&B’s greats—further cemented her artistry. Stay tuned for more mesmerizing music from Alex Isley in 2025.

The release sees classically trained violinist Natasha Janfaza expanding her sonic palette with heavier, distortion-drenched soundscapes and unconventional song structures. The EP also boasts collaborations with Joe Lally of post-hardcore legends Fugazi on the title track, while Brendan Canty drives the rhythm section throughout.

Drawing inspiration from icons like Liz Phair, My Bloody Valentine, and Knifeplay, Tunnel is set to bring these songs to life on her West Coast Tour, which includes a highly anticipated South by Southwest debut this March. The tour spans Arizona, Texas, and California, culminating in a Los Angeles homecoming show. Tickets are available online at https://linktr.ee/tunnelll and at the door.

Source:Bonita Jalane – Topic

“I Love Myself” was recorded at the legendary Stankonia Studios in Atlanta, the iconic home of OutKast, further adding to its legacy and impact. 47. Dasha – Not At This Party

Source:Dasha

Making a bold return today, RIAA Platinum certified pop-country sensation, Dasha, kickstarts her sophomore country project with a new single entitled “Not At This Party” out now via Warner Records. Listen to “Not At This Party” co-written by Ashley Gorley (Chris Stapleton, Kelsea Ballerini) and Ben Johnson (Charlie Puth, Dierks Bently) HERE and watch the Aerin Moreno (Tate McRae, Tyla) directed music video HERE

“‘Not At This Party’ was a title I’d been carrying around for a while,” Dasha shares. “It’s about that universal experience of being out with friends, but mentally checked out. When I wrote it with Ashley Gorley and Ben Johnson, I was going through something with a guy, and the song just flowed. We really tried to capture that mix of distraction and guilt in the song.”

Earlier today, the “Not At This Party” music video debuted on CMT, MTV and Paramount’s Times Square Billboard. It is now in rotation across CMT Channels, MTV Live, mtvU and MTV’s Biggest Pop.

In 2024, the singer landed coveted spots at country music meccas, Stagecoach, Austin City Limits, CMT Awards and CMA Fest. Her year didn’t stop there, though. She sold-out her first global headlining tour, Dashville USA, and performed on two of the biggest televised broadcasts of the year – Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve. The song went on to become one of the most-streamed country songs in 2024 and won the People’s Choice Country Awards for Female Song.

“This past year I was blown away by how many little girls were riding the rails at my shows,” Dasha says. “No one connects with perfection. For me, navigating the highs and lows of this industry means accepting that I’m going to make mistakes. This journey isn’t always going to be smooth, and the bumps along the way make for a far more interesting ride.”

Next up, she embarks on tour with Kane Brown, Thomas Rhett and Dylan Scott and is set to return to Stagecoach Music Festival in April.

48. Willy Cobb – Parking Lot Thoughts

Source:Willy Cobb

Southern alt rocker Willy Cobb returns with a new single entitled “Parking Lot Thoughts” out now via War Buddha / Warner Records. Listen to “Parking Lot Thoughts” HERE and watch the accompanying music video HERE.

About the track, he comments, “The song is about me feeling down working as a door guy at a music venue, seeing all these acts that don’t appreciate what they’re doing – touring and playing – and treating venue people like shit.”

Once again, the maverick artist channels a classic loud-soft grunge dynamic through an outlaw country lens. Right out of the gate, he sets the scene through a woozy acoustic guitar, “I sweep the parking lots alone at night. I wonder what I’ll find this time.”  Unable to contain a flurry of emotion on the hook, distortion kicks into overdrive, and Willy screams, “I just want to be on stage and not give a fuck, yeah…parking lot thoughts get me crazy.”

He notably capped off 2024 with “Boy Toy” and his Unplugged EP. Earning critical acclaim, House of Solo attested, “Cobb is fast becoming a force in the Nashville scene, proving that boundaries—whether in genre or attitude—are meant to be pushed.” Jace Media Music urged “Keep an eye on Willy Cobb—he’s just getting started,” and Taped Magazine also profiled him. Not to mention, he opened up for everyone from Chris Shiflett of Foo Fighters to The Cadillac Three, shining on stage.

In 2024, his Country Punkin’ EP landed looks from Dig! and more. In an “On The Rise” interview about the project, The Line of Best Fit christened him “one of Nashville’s newest boundary-pushing talents,” going on to rave, “the EP’s five tracks offer up servings of ragged punk energy, fuzzed-out guitars, country grit and a touch of southern swamp.”

Meanwhile, “Cigarette Smell” has also garnered widespread critical acclaim. Rolling Stone touted it among “All the Songs You Need to Know This Week.” Plus, NOTION sat down with him for an in-depth interview and professed, “the single sees Willy Cobb at his best.”

49. Michael Marcagi – Flyover State

Source:deep blue sounds

Today, rising singer, songwriter and celebrated storyteller Michael Marcagi shares a heartfelt new single entitled “Flyover State” — listen HERE via Warner Records and watch the lyric video HERE. Tune in to CBS Saturday Morning tomorrow for a special performance from Michael.

“‘Flyover State’ is a song about falling into the trap of imposter syndrome and feeling like you don’t belong,” Marcagi explains. “It’s about taking risks, going new places, and stepping out of your comfort zone”

As with each new release from Marcagi, he reveals the heart of the matter from the very onset, with the upbeat mandolin underscoring his emotionally charged delivery. Lyrically, he wrestles with the day-to-day grind, “I look around, and this life ain’t mine. I’m in the backseat watching the world pass me by.” A driving beat kicks in and uplifts the soaring refrain, “I’m stuck in a flyover state of mind.”

“Flyover State” lands in the wake of the recent fan-favorite “Midwest Kid.” Holler hailed the song as a “nostalgic, uptempo earworm,” before noting, “Michael Marcagi continues to cement himself as one of the most exciting new voices in the folk landscape.”

“Midwest Kid” followed on the heels of recent singles “Keep Me Honest,” “Good Enough”—which was co-written by Wesley Schultz of The Lumineers—and “Tear It All Apart.” Of “Tear It All Apart,” HITS professed, “Its melancholy verses give way to a rousing, redemptive chorus. The buzz on Marcagi is getting louder; he’s a true-blue story teller.” Flaunt Magazine observed, “Quite the lyricist, evoking an inspiring and relatable feeling – resonating deeply, and immediately , with those who hear it.”

Marcagi arrived on the scene in 2024 with his Warner Records debut EP American Romance. Its Platinum-certified lead single, “Scared to Start,” reached #5 on the Billboard Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart, amassing more than 4 billion TikTok views and nearly 800 million global streams in the process. This past June, Marcagi made his late night TV debut performing the hit on Late Night With Seth Meyers.

Marcagi is currently on the road for a run of US headline dates. Shortly after wrapping up in the US, Marcagi will be supporting The Lumineers on their EU/UK arena tour in April and May, and then will join Rainbow Kitten Surprise across the Southeastern US in June. 50. ALEXSUCKS – Worm In The Sun

Source:ALEXSUCKS

Our new favorite unpredictable, LA-based wildcards ALEXSUCKS dropped their new single and music video “Worm in the Sun” today! Listen HERE. Watch the Liam Walsh-directed video HERE. It marks the band’s first release of 2025 and sets the stage for their U.S. headline tour, kicking off Wednesday March 5, at The Troubadour in L.A. and landing in Brooklyn on March 20!

ALEXSUCKS continue to solidify themselves as the new face of modern rock, drawing inspiration from the garage and dance-punk revival with their own addictive flavor and catchy lyrics. Consisting of lead vocalist Alex Alvarez, guitarist John Luther, drummer Ethan Demoulin, and bassist Garrett Orseno (aka DJ Topgun), ALEXSUCKS crashed into the LA rock scene in 2023 with their debut album The Gutter. Standout tracks “6 Pack and Cigarettes” and “Can We Forget” both tallied over 2 million streams and pushed the band’s monthly listeners to over 800,000 on Spotify.

They capped off 2024 with the Warm Beers EP. Thus far, it has generated 10 million-plus total streams and counting in addition to receiving critical acclaim. Alternative Press hailed it as a “six-song collection that spans the worlds of alternative rock, dance-punk, and old-school MTV,” going on to profess, “The project’s standout track, and namesake, adopts a quiet-loud dynamic (a technique that defined ’90s alt a la Pixies and Sonic Youth) while building toward an addicting refrain.” Zac Carper of tourmates FIDLAR urged 303 Magazine, “Everybody needs to check out the band that is supporting us. ALEXSUCKS. They have this song called “Warm Beers” that makes me cry.”

51. 2Rare – Feel Me (Rare Mix)

Source:2Rare

Always finding new ways to bring the party, Philly rapper 2Rare reinvents a year-2000 Baltimore Club classic with “Feel Me (Rare Mix),” out now via Second Estate/Warner Records. To bring his own infectious cut to life, he teamed with the original song’s producer, local legend Rod Lee. Listen HERE.

Anyone familiar with the rowdy track will recognize those sweat-pumping horns and drums from the jump. 2Rare doesn’t miss a step hopping on the breakneck beat, playing off of Lee’s original off-the-cuff vocals and extending the melody for his own cheeky lyrics. For the hook, he swerves in and out of the growled “feel me,” with a series of playful boasts and punch lines: “Ay Fresh Prince, I know you Uncle Phil me / You ain’t even gotta touch me, I know you gonna feel me.”

“I went into the studio looking to have fun,” says 2Rare, who often heard the neighboring Bmore sound growing up. “Sometimes the best songs happen when you’re just having a good time. As someone who loves to dance, the club culture of Baltimore has always spoken to me. I knew I had to connect with Baltimore on this one and I appreciate Rod and the city showing me love.”

“Feel Me (Rare Mix)” kicks off 2025 for 2Rare, who last blessed fans with the steamy, R&B-infused “Heartbeat” featuring Lakeyah and Ann Marie and, before that, his aspirational anthem “Congratulationz,” a victory lap of sorts that (for the moment, at least) stepped away from the playful, high-energy heaters he’d become known for. 2Rare’s latest is also a reminder that he’s similarly developed a sterling rep for rousing reinventions, from his single with Skilla Baby and Rob49, “C4,” which sampled Eazy-E’s “Boyz-n-the-Hood,” to the remix release of Gracie’s Corner’s “Veggie Dance,” which amassed over 2 million streams in three days.

Prior to all that, 2Rare cranked up the voltage at Rolling Loud Los Angeles, flaunting his customary showmanship while diving into his catalog, starting 2024 off right. The year before, he was named a 2023 XXL Freshman, appeared on NLE Choppa’s RIAA Gold-Certified “Do It Again,” and unloaded his Truth or Rare mixtape, a showcase for the turn-up. Only time will tell what 2Rare’s got in store for 2025, but it’s safe to assume that the club won’t be the same.

52. B.U.G Antman – 145 MPH

Source:B.U.G Antman

Today, Atlanta rap surrealist B.U.G Antman drops “145 mph,” a woozy celebration of fast living out now via Warner Records. The new single adds to the holistically hypnotic, trippy, and color-saturated world the young artist is building and leads the way to his forthcoming EP, Y’all Ugly, arriving March 21st. Listen HERE and watch the dreamlike, New York-set official music video HERE.

“145 mph” drops you right into the groove where lo-bit keys pulse, and disembodied voices pinwheel through the ether. B.U.G Antman’s vocals cut through the track, zooming past places he’s been and women he’s seen: “On the e-way I push 145 / For these hits of the za I pay 145 / Every night I come alive / We the ones that brought these vibes.”

Ahead of the release, B.U.G Antman shared his vision for the single. “I’m trying to set a bold tone for my project with this one,” He details. “Showing my vulnerable side. This lifestyle really gets to you sometimes.”

The track sees Antman recount his brief flings on the road. As an artist in constant transit, fleeting moments are filled with casual sex and drugs as coping mechanisms, suppressing the perpetual heartbreak he endures in pursuit of his musical endeavors.

The “145 mph” video drops B.U.G Antman into one of the many metropolises he mentions, NYC. Even as he walks the streets, overpasses, and subways, the artist is in a world of his own — impeccably styled and working on a joint while the city moves in slow or backward motion. At certain points, it gets markedly strange, with wild zoom-outs that wormhole through windows, crosswalk signals, construction scaffolding, and security mirrors. The POV is entirely his own.

“145 mph” follows the January release of “Make Sense,” a lush cut that champions self-expression, intense focus, and getting money. Today, rising North Carolina based singer-songwriter Wesko shares a vulnerable and vibrant new single entitled “Where The Love Goes” out now via Warner Records – listen HERE

Across the song, lithely plucked acoustic guitar accents his heartfelt delivery. Evoking a palpable sense of longing, he sets the scene with a gentle lamentation, “I’ve held a spark, and I’ve watched it die.” The chorus teems with emotion as he wrestles with the ups and downs of romance and relationships, “I can’t say love’s been too kind…It’s gone like a ’73 Cadillac Coupe DeVille.” As the song reaches its climax, these feelings fade off with soft feedback in the distance.

It lands in the wake of “Too Young To Die” and “Hopeless Son.” Last year, he unveiled “Helene (The Carolina Taping).” Reflecting the pain of the region in the wake of Hurricane Helene, he pledged a donation of 50% of all proceeds generated by the song to the North Carolina Community Foundation Disaster Release Fund. Listen to “Helene” HERE and learn more about the NCCF and donate HERE.

After hearing “Helene,” country superstar Luke Combs personally invited Wesko to perform at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC as part of the Concert for Carolina. Taking the stage, Combs introduced him, and he captivated a capacity crowd of 82,000 with a heart-wrenching rendition of the song. He notably joined a powerhouse bill with Eric Church, The Avett Brothers, Scotty McCreery, Sheryl Crow, and Keith Urban. The event raised over $24 million for Hurricane Helene relief.

Hailing from Kenansville, NC, Wesko has quietly emerged as a country maverick with a knack for “real cowboy tunes,” as he calls ‘em. Inspired by everyone from Neil Young and Eric Church to My Chemical Romance and Green Day, he has architected a raw and real style of his own. No stranger to hard work, he has impressively balanced a full academic schedule at The University of Mount Olive, all the while working an intense full-time job as a foreman for an erosion control company and gaining traction on songs such as “Burning House” and “No Surprise.” He also notably attracted an audience one-fan-at-a-time, gaining momentum locally and magnifying his imprint on social media. Inking a deal with underscore works recordings / Warner Records in 2024, Wesko holds nothing back on his debut Lost Boys EP with more to come.

54. Ray Vaughn – CEMETERY lanterns

Source:Top Dawg Entertainment

Today, Top Dawg Entertainment’s rising star and Tidal’s 2025 Artist to Watch, Ray Vaughn, drops his next single “CEMETERY lanterns” out now everywhere HERE. The Rayo (Tyla, kwn) and Kyu Steed (Amaarae) produced percussive cut continues the motion Ray set last year in lead up to his upcoming debut EP, The Good, The Bad & The Dollar Menu, on the West Coast’s leading label. Coming soon, the EP is available for pre-save HERE

On the new single Ray Vaughn shares, “‘CEMETERY lanterns’ is a story for those caught between loyalty and survival. It’s about the struggle of growing up in the hood, torn between following the footsteps of those you look up to or breaking the cycle.” He continues, “Every day, people make choices that lead them down the wrong path, and too often, those stories end the same way. This song is for them.”

Top Dawg Entertainment has skyrocketed the likes of Kendrick Lamar, SZA and Doechii into the stratosphere! Their big years have also allowed the spotlight to run off on labelmate and TDE’s crowned prince, Ray Vaughn. From performing in 2024’s Ken & Friends Presented by pgLang and Free Lunch in LA for Juneteenth, to his song ‘Blasphemy’ being synced to and included in SZA and Keke Palmers #1 movie in the country – One of them Days. He has even carried the torch Kendrick lit reigniting the fire back in rap battles, with his feud with Joey Bada$$ following the drop of his track ‘CRASHOUT HERITAGE.’

Following previous released earworms that saw Ray collaborating with Isaiah Rashad on “EAST CHATT,” Pusha T in “Problems” and even NLE Choppa on the Rayo and Jack LoMastro produced “FNBM,” Ray is more than ready to deliver his upcoming EP The Good, The Bad & The Dollar Menu in a creative tongue-in-cheek fashion, only he could. The EP will showcase the various experiences Ray has encountered through his adolescence, journey as an artist, to his eventual signing with TDE. Sonically it delivers an encapsulation of his various influences, delving through his trajectory: the dark, the ugly and his wins, all wrapped up with moments of witty humor, while boasting his unique wordplay amid fun fresh neck-snapping beats, to boldly soulful and meticulously shifting productions.

Ray has been on a heat streak since his Pusha T-assisted February palette cleanser, “Problems,” with recent tracks, from “Blasphemy,“ to “Ray Wop,” and “Supposed to Die” to “Black Jesus.” With each release, Vaughn further expands and highlights his versatility, his piercing pen for building a hook across immersive hard-hitting productions, and a true understanding of whom he’s speaking to with each bar. “Ray Wop” leads this bundle, but it is “FNBM” that clocks in at the top of Ray’s swaggering 2024 run, with a heavy beat that would ring off in any club, car, or party, the track is prime example of Ray’s evolving artistry.

Last year he performed on Isaiah Rashad’s 10-year anniversary tour for Cilvia Demo. and throughout dropped a continuous onslaught of lyricism and content through his channels, revving his audiences up for each official release.

Stay tuned for more from Ray Vaughn coming soon.

55. Leven Kali – Are U Still (Live)

Source:Leven Kali

Leven Kali shares live performance video for his new electrifying new single “Are U Still” out now. It marks his first solo release since 2022 and his official debut for Def Jam Recordings. Listen HERE. Watch the performance HERE

Live drums kickstart the track as harmonies flutter. In between soft piano, his warm vocals practically melt the production, alternating from laidback intonation to a bold high register. As the momentum ramps up, he repeatedly asks, “Are you still in love like I am?” The vibe flips as funky guitar locks into a bounce with handclaps. Fittingly, a wild trumpet solo acts as a cherry on top of this future-facing R&B delight.

Leven Kali, Multi GRAMMY-nominated for his work on Beyoncé’sRenaissance, co-wrote the standout “Bodyguard” for the latter. Of course, this continues his run as a key trusted collaborator for Beyoncé. Prior, he served as a co-writer on “Alien Superstar,” “Plastic Off the Sofa,” “Virgo’s Groove,” and “Summer Renaissance” from 2022’s Renaissance—which took home a GRAMMY® for “Best Dance/Electronic Album.

Beyond these mega-collabs, his voice could be heard on genre-busting tracks like “How You Feel” with ANOTR and Erik Bandt last year. It’s no wonder FLAUNT hailed him as an “R&B prodigy” during an Outside Lands Q&A and marveled at how, “his music jumps from generation to generation of funkadelic fire.”

Everything just sets the stage for more to come from Leven Kali this year.
