At last year’s Camp Flog Gnaw Festival, Clipse had an epic reunion performance. Pusha T returns this year to celebrate the launch of his new coffee brand Grindin. Named after Clipse’s iconic Pharrell-produced song “Grindin,’” Grinding is a strong black coffee reflecting the artist’s taste. The coffee’s highly caffeinated blend gives Push the energy and focus he needs to be his best. Like-minded hard workers will find that Grindin is the tool they need to get things done.
While developing his own proprietary blend set to debut next year, Pusha T is bringing Grindin to Camp Flog Gnaw festival with a blend he co-created with Los Angeles’ iconic Café Tropical. A first taste of the high-caffeine blend will be available at Café Tropical from 7 am PST – 11:30 am PST and on-site at the festival starting Saturday, November 16th. Customers at the Los Angeles cafe can grab a strong cup of coffee as well as apparel from a collaboration between Grindin and Carhartt WIP. While the collaboration will be available exclusively at Café Tropical, additional Grindin apparel will also be available for purchase at Camp Flog Gnaw.
Collaborating with Café Tropical was a natural fit for the rapper. Push, alongside his brother and collaborator Malice, chronicled the cocaine trade in “Grindin’” in part because the former owners of Café Tropical in the 1970s used to run a cocaine smuggling operation through its back rooms. Today, Café Tropical is one of the best and most beloved coffee shops in all of Los Angeles known for its strong Cuban flavors and as the favored gathering spot of LA’s creative community.
Grindin coffee will launch nationwide in early 2025 as a premium yet accessible coffee option for the everyday person – Grindin is for the doers who need a boost. Congrats to Push on his new endeavor! Check out the announcement he made on his Instagram account earlier today and some photos of the merch from the Grindin and Carhartt WIP collaboration!
