As we approach the return of the hit series Bel-Air, summer is indeed just heating up. Click inside to see how the cast of the show celebrated their upcoming third season.

Last week (August 1st), Peacock hosted a summer BBQ at the Universal Studios Backlot for the return of Bel-Air Season 3. Guests were surprised with a show-stopping performance from Coco Jones, who sang her new single “Here We Go.” In the spirit of celebrating the Bel-Air state of mind, she then invited Will Smith up to duet his classic hit “Summertime.”

Bel-Air cast members Jabari Banks, Coco Jones, Adrian Holmes, Jimmy Akingbola, Olly Sholotan, Akira Akbar, Jordan L. Jones and Simone Joy Jones all pulled up to take in the activities. They were joined by executive producers Will Smith and Morgan Cooper; showrunner, executive producer, and writer Carla Banks Waddles; and special guest stars Jazlyn Martin, Justin Cornwell and Alycia Pascual-Peña.

Other notable attendees included Big Sean, Dexter Darden (Fight Night), Elia Cantu (Days of our Lives), Kelz Washington, Juju “Straw Hat Goofy” Green, Kandace Banks, Jordan Howlett, Reggie Couz, La’Ron Hines and many more.

Attendees were treated to BBQ favorites from Trejos Tacos and black-owned staples, Earle’s on Crenshaw and Eagle Rock BBQ. The summer BBQ also brought “Blackccess” (a new term this season coined by Will and Carlton meaning “Black Access”) to life through a Blackccess Flea Market, which featured 3 black-owned vendors and custom Blackccess merch.

Host Charles Kuykendoll, kept the vibes high throughout the night. Yard games, iconic photo ops, and tunes by DJ Meel gave guests multiple opportunities to take part in the newest chapter for the Banks family: Summertime in Bel-Air. This event promoted NBCUniversal and State Farm’s Open Doors initiative which supports small businesses across the country – with a special spotlight on minority-owned businesses.

Check out photos (and video of Will and Coco’s performance) from the BBQ below! Be sure to tune in when the new season of Bel-Air premieres August 15th with three episodes, only on Peacock.
