Burruss’ new series on Amazon Live brings three generations of her family together to share their unique perspectives. The series premiered on Prime Video’s free, ad-supported (FAST) channel, starring Burruss, her daughter Riley, and her mother Mama Joyce as they dive into a series of topics and live shopping.

The show offers plenty of fun moments, including a hilarious White Elephant gift exchange and a festive cook-off to determine the family’s best chef. Throughout the series, viewers can shop featured items in real time using Amazon’s innovative “Shop the Show” feature, blending entertainment and practicality.

In an interview with Blavity, Burruss explained her motivation for the series, which stemmed from her previous work with Amazon as a live host.

“When [Amazon] said there was an opportunity to do something different, I thought it would be super cool to have my mom and Riley be a part of it,” she shared with the publication. “Each one of us represents a whole different generation, and we do not see eye to eye on most stuff.”

Burruss also revealed that both Riley and Mama Joyce were thrilled to join the project. Though Riley rarely enjoys coming home to visit from New York, the opportunity to be a part of this series had her eager to come back.

“They loved it,” Kandi added. “They’ve been on Amazon Live with me before, but this was different because we just get to sit around, talk to each other, and have real conversations.”

Filming together felt natural for the family, who are no strangers to being on camera.

“Riley’s been on camera her whole life,” Burruss shared. “And my mom, she’s a natural.”

Fans have responded enthusiastically, sharing laughs, their favorite moments and items. Burruss especially enjoys reading their comments.

“People got a lot of good laughs off the show, which is cool,” she said. “Because to me, whenever you’re watching, like even when it is just me doing my regular lives, I don’t want you to feel like I’m just sitting here just selling you a product because I’m just not that person that likes to push something that I don’t even like.”

For Kandi, the most enjoyable part was witnessing the lively debates between Riley and Mama Joyce. “It was funny watching them,” she laughed. “It definitely makes you realize what my mother’s generation finds important is totally different from Riley’s.”

Burruss hopes to continue “Generation Face-Off” while also preparing to star in Season 7 of “The Chi” and an upcoming Bravo TV project that she couldn’t share many details about. Be sure to tune into “Generation Face-Off” on Amazon Live.
