Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi, has joined the cast of Netflix’s Happy Gilmore 2. While some details are under wraps, read what we know about the upcoming sequel inside.

The highly anticipated sequel to the iconic 1996 comedy Happy Gilmore returns with new talent. Adam Sandler is back in the title role, reprising his performance as the hot-tempered hockey player turned golfer. Julie Bowen and Christopher McDonald will also return as Virginia Venit, Happy’s love interest, and Shooter McGavin, his pro-golfer rival, respectively. Other star-studded additions include NFL tight end Travis Kelce and music star Bad Bunny, both of whom will make cameos. However, details about Cudi’s role and the sequel’s storyline remain tightly under wraps.

Directed by Kyle Newacheck, who previously collaborated with Sandler on Murder MysteryHappy Gilmore 2 is written by Sandler and Tim Herlihy, promising fans a mix of nostalgia and fresh humor. Jack Giarraputo and Robert Simonds are producing, while Dennis Dugan, who directed the original film, returns as an executive producer.

The first Happy Gilmore captivated audiences with its story of Happy, a failed hockey player who joins the PGA Tour to save his grandmother’s home. Known for his unorthodox golfing style and explosive personality, Happy quickly becomes a fan favorite while clashing with Shooter McGavin, who views him as a threat to the traditional world of golf.

Cudi’s addition to the cast adds another level of intrigue to the sequel, as he’s currently gaining acclaim in film and television. Known for his roles in X and M. Night Shyamalan’s Trap, Cudi’s transition into Happy Gilmore 2 is a promising continuation of his acting career.
