1. Phillip Lammonds – Who’s Right, Who’s Wrong
Source:Phillip Lammonds
“How’d they get in that box?” jokes renowned songwriter Phillip Lammonds remembering a time when all he could think about were the sounds coming out of his grandfather’s wooden, upright RCA radio. “I sat criss-cross applesauce on countless summer afternoons just glued to the tones and sorcery of it all and wondering where the songs came from.” Last Friday, Lammonds—who grew up to write more than 4000 songs including tunes cut by Hootie & The Blowfish, Lee Brice, and more—shared a new single called “Who’s Right, Who’s Wrong,” a song born from those early memories of music.
Lyrically, “Who’s Right, Who’s Wrong” echoes a longstanding tradition of country music: arguments with your significant other. “Who’s right and who’s wrong / When foolish pride and bown whisky collide in the night / A misunderstanding might wind up a fight,” Lammonds sings in the song’s opening verse. A waltzing piano and fiddle accompaniment give way to a solo acoustic guitar and vocal while the narrator sets up the story before a lonesome pedal steel guitar and tight vocal harmonies usher in the foreboding message; a lesson we all really have to learn the hard way.
“Cause a night spent mixing anger and alcohol
Is a mighty destructive thing to do,
Casting blame, pointing fingers
Is the preoccupation of fools
But when the morning sun finds you
And your true love is gone
It won’t much matter who’s right and who’s wrong”
Fans can stream or purchase “Who’s Right, Who’s Wrong” right here and check out Lammond’s last single, “Why Don’t Dogs,” at this link. For those who haven’t had a chance to hear Phillip Lammonds’s latest album, Cowboy Things—which Cowboys & Indians called “a deeply heartfelt and warmly embracing celebration of the emotion that should unite all of us”—it can be found here. Lammonds will appear in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on November 22nd for a special Songwriters in the Round show. Platinum-selling and Billboard #1 artist Kirko Bangz is set to release his highly anticipated dual single “Pull Up / Vent 5,” a project that masterfully blends the luxurious side of his Houston rap roots with raw, emotional storytelling. Set to drop soon, the dual release marks a pivotal moment in Kirko’s career, offering listeners two different yet connected facets of his artistry.
Speaking on the project, Kirko shares, “‘Pull Up / Vent 5’ represents the duality of my Houston rap roots, where I get dressed up and luxurious in ‘Pull Up’ but keep it real and raw in ‘Vent 5.’ Transparency in my music has always been important to me—whether it’s expressing my personal struggles or celebrating success, I want listeners to feel the truth in every bar.”
“Vent 5” continues a series of songs where Kirko opens up with unfiltered honesty, addressing personal challenges and emotional growth. Kirko touches on a variety of deeply personal themes, including the complexity of relationships, his experience with family, and his journey toward self-discovery:
In “Vent 5,” Kirko delves into the lifestyle of navigating multiple relationships, taming his free-spirited nature, and coming to terms with trust issues after being deceived by a woman who falsely claimed he fathered a child. He also opens up about his connection with his mother, who is part of the LGBTQIA+ community. Through her relationships with women, Kirko says he’s learned more about the lifestyle and how it has shaped him into a better man.
The absence of his father is another vulnerable topic Kirko addresses, questioning, “How can I show him love if I’ve never seen him?” This heartfelt record takes off Kirko’s emotional armor, allowing listeners to connect with him on the deepest level yet.
Kirko explains his approach to handling personal issues with grace, stating, “I choose to just smile when it comes to discussing my personal affairs and fears because many try to use it against me.”
“Pull Up” complements this emotional journey with an energetic, luxurious sound that celebrates his success and the Houston rap culture that raised him. The dual release caters to both long-time fans who have been with him from Day 1 and new listeners discovering him through his latest work.
” Vent 5″ is more than a musical release; it’s a raw exploration of Kirko Bangz’s evolution as an artist and a man. With transparent storytelling and Southern heat, Kirko brings listeners into his world, offering insight into his heart and mind like never before.
This release follows Kirko’s latest single “Rollercoaster,” and is part of his larger return to the spotlight ahead of his

4. KAIRO – Are We There Yet?
Source:KAIRO
Primed for a breakthrough, emerging alt-pop, Nigerian-born, Texas-raised duo KAIRO unleash their debut album, ARE WE THERE YET?, out now via Def Jam Recordings. Listen HERE.
The 13-track body of work is an illumination of KAIRO’s progression as it confidently stretches the boundaries of musical genres. A culmination of years’ worth of writing and growing as artists, ARE WE THERE YET? unfolds as the story of young Nigerian immigrant kids coming to America, as young men experiencing all the love and heartbreak, and two brothers working together pursuing their shared dream.
About the title of the album KAIRO explains, ARE WE THERE YET? serves as a through line between all our shared experiences — questioning each decision: ‘We graduated college and have made music our full-time jobs, are we there yet? We’ve made an album we are so proud of, are we there yet? Were the sacrifices of our parents’ worth it. Did we make you proud?’
They went on to add, “This album is crafted for the kids who embrace diverse genres and value authentic artists who share uniquely specific stories. KAIRO aims to be that artist for them.” Among many highlights, “FRONTLINES” layers a hypnotic vocal over big screen-ready strings, setting the tone for the journey to follow. On its heels, upbeat electric guitar and a head-nodding beat anchor “ANYBODY HOME?” Simultaneously, the pair take stock of their journey so far, “It’s really us.” Then, there’s “HEAVEN.” Soft guitar transmissions complement emotionally charged lyrics punctuated by a realization, “I’m in the middle of it all.” The finale “MAMA” concludes with a heartfelt last word. Buoyed by soaring orchestration and a thick bounce, towering vocals reach heavenly heights with a reminder, “Mama, I love you.”
In celebration of the release of their debut album, KAIRO will perform tomorrow November 14 in Los Angeles at El Cid.
5. Skylar Simone – WhatsInIt4Me
Source:Skylar Simone
Today, R&B/Pop star on the rise, Skylar Simone, releases her new single “What’s In It 4 Me” via Def Jam Recordings. LISTEN HERE & WATCH HERE.
“What’s In It 4 Me” cleverly interpolates the iconic 2002 Busta Rhymes and Mariah Carey single “I Know What You Want,” while weaving in her signature silky smooth vocals, an earworm guitar riff, and an up-tempo musical backdrop. Full of attitude, the track embodies Skylar’s expectations of the man she desires, pleading for proof that he’s worth her time. The music video depicts Skylar reminiscing on a night out while strutting down the middle of a deserted highway at night, following the leading lady as she gets ahead of a man attempting to take advantage of her, and effectively beats him to the punch.
“What’s In It 4 Me” follows the release of Skylar’s new EP, Shiver, released earlier this year. Produced by the legendary D’Mile (Bruno Mars, Silk Sonic, Victoria Monet), Scribz Riley (Doja Cat, 21 Savage), and Trackside (Khamari), the project is a testament to Skylar’s artistic growth and evolution. Utilizing heartbreak and newfound confidence as motivation, the project embodies the contrasts of human emotion, inviting listeners on a visceral journey of self-discovery. The EP made waves with fans everywhere and received critical acclaim from the likes of Billboard, VIBE, Consequence, BET, Rated R&B, and more.
Skylar Simone has emerged as one to watch – blending raw authenticity with impeccable vocal control and prowess. A self-taught instrumentalist with a kaleidoscopic voice to match, she burst onto the scene at 13 years old with her debut album This Is Me. Now, with two albums under her belt and a new deal with Def Jam Recordings, Skylar has re-entered the spotlight with a newly refined R&B sound, which Billboard praises as a “well-crafted ode to the sweetest pop&B confections of the late ’90s and early ’00s.”
6. Josh Gilligan – Anything
Source:Josh Gilligan – Topic
Today, Nashville-based musician, songwriter, and filmmaker Josh Gilligan releases the second single “Anything” from his forthcoming debut album Party Of One, set for release January 24, 2025 via Chicago and Nashville-based indie label Easy Does It Records.
Listen to “Anything” here
“Anything,” premiered today by Glide Magazine, is the epiphanic opener to Josh Gilligan’s full-hearted debut album, which offers a revelation of hope to kick off an album full of melancholic introspection. “The key here is simplicity, with Gilligan laying down airy, folk-tinged vocals over a soundtrack of quietly driving guitars, a basic drum beat, and a slow build,” says Glide. “The song’s overall uplifting message is one that resonates in these troubling times and speaks to Gilligan’s knack for crafting subtly powerful lyrics.”
Says Gilligan, “I started writing ‘Anything’ to a friend who was going through some pretty dark times. It’s a song that acknowledges the bravery it takes to keep on going, no matter what kind of life you lead. It’s not written to give advice or prescribe anything, but just to extend some calm love and feel the weight and the joy of life together. It’s also the first tune coming out that I live tracked together with the band!”
The sentiment sounds straightforward, but the Nashville singer-songwriter finds new implications every time he sings that line: Simply existing in the world requires strength, endurance, determination, even courage. This is not the album’s cathartic climax or the culmination of his process of self-discovery. Rather, it’s Gilligan’s opening salvo. That idea is the starting point for this somber, yet hopeful collection of songs.
It’s a powerful introduction to those who might not be familiar with his presence in the Nashville indie scene, having worked in various capacities with artists like Halfnoise, Madi Diaz, Elke, and Medium Build. His diverse experiences on stage have infused his music with a rich blend of influences, setting the stage for his most personal project to date.
His debut album Party Of One, due out next year, marks a new step in his musical journey, following the success of his 2021 EP, Go Around.
Party Of One collects the wisdom Gilligan gleaned from a long period of deep sadness, self-doubt, and confusion. There are songs about separation, internal conflicts, creative disappointments, all of which added up to a pervasive melancholy in his late 20s and early 30s. He’d spent nearly a decade gigging around Nashville, balancing other jobs adjacent to the music industry with his own musical pursuits.
“I wasn’t expecting to feel so hollowed out after my twenties,” says Gilligan, “and I was wondering if I still wanted to make music. But I felt like I owed it to myself to give it another try, even though in the back of my mind I’m thinking, What can I add to the conversation? Why would anyone want to listen to what I have to say? ‘Anything’ came out of that, and it’s been a good message to live with. A lot of people think that if they’re not doing something super ambitious and highly visible, that means they’re doing something wrong or they’re not being brave enough. But it takes so much bravery to do anything at all.”
Gilligan drew from the ‘70s pop and soft rock of his childhood, creating a sound that resonates with personal references: the graceful melodicism of Paul Simon, the restless experimentation of Todd Rundgren, the emotional directness of James Taylor. “My mom was raising five kids—I was the middle child—and she would take us on long drives to make us sleepy. And she would play Wings, America, Christopher Cross. Instead of rejecting her music, I embraced all of it. That’s the stuff I’m thinking about when I make music. It completely formed my sensibilities. My mom inadvertently crafted the palette of Party of One.”
Gilligan spent years recording, mixing, and even sequencing another record, but something didn’t sit right. It took bravery to set it aside and start again from scratch. In 2022 he spent a month in California, savoring the change of scenery and working with a different set of musicians. In one memorable afternoon he and Jacob Jeffries (who plays keyboards for Vulfpeck) wrote a song called “Tight Rope,” out now. It’s a gentle ballad with chiming guitars, shimmering keyboards, and lyrics about how falling off the tight rope gets you back down to earth. It was a breakthrough. “Honestly it felt less like doing a co-write and more like finding a long-lost member of my musical family. I remember thinking, This is how I want the album to sound. I built everything else around that song. It came out like a sneeze, but the others came together with more time and care.”
When he’s not making music, Josh enjoys spending his time outdoors, fishing or working on vintage music equipment. His passion for music and creativity is matched by his appreciation for the simple pleasures in life, and he strives to create songs that resonate on a genuine level with his audience.
7. Michaël Brun, John Legend, Rutshelle Guillaume – Safe
Source:Michaël Brun
GRAMMY-winning Haitian DJ/producer Michaël Brun joins forces with EGOT-winning, critically acclaimed, multiplatinum musician John Legend and leading Haitian artist Rutshelle Guillaume for their spirited new single “Safe.” The single releases via Capitol today, stream here.
The release of “Safe” is a representation of unity in the face of ignorance and hate. With Brun and Guillaume’s Haitian backgrounds, and Legend previously vocalising his support for the Haitian immigrant population in his hometown of Springfield, Ohio, the release of “Safe” is to encourage the building of communities and coming together.
On “Safe,” Michaël Brun combines John Legend’s soulful tone with the konpa music style from his native Haiti, making for a heartwarming, culture merging experience. Rutshelle Guillaume’s guest appearance on the track elevates this heritage-fusing link-up as she delivers a stunning vocal performance, singing in Haitian Creole.
Speaking on the track and its importance Michaël says, “John has been one of my all-time favourite singers and voices since I started making music. It is truly an honour for me to be able to introduce him to the world of konpa through our song “Safe”. The collaboration process felt natural from the start, and the moment he spoke out against misinformation surrounding Haitian immigrants in Springfield, it cemented that this song had a larger purpose. Pairing him with Rutshelle, one of Haiti’s biggest global stars, also felt like the perfect fit. “Safe” and our conversation in Springfield represents cross-cultural connection in its most authentic form, and I’m proud to be able to create bridges with our voices.”
To coincide with the song’s release, both John and Michaël travelled to Springfield to connect with the local community and filmed an hour-long conversation at a local Haitian restaurant, discussing Haitian history, bridging cultural gaps and the dangers of misinformation in the modern age. The conversation can be viewed here
Michaël Brun was born and raised in Port-au-Prince and is one of the biggest Haitian voices in music today. Throughout his career he has continually shone a light on the country’s rich culture and history, viewing his career in music to give back to the community that raised him. Throughout the years he has worked with an astonishing list of global superstars, including J Balvin, Oxlade, King Promise, Buju Banton, Victoria Monét, Becky G and many more. Accolades throughout his career include hundreds of millions of streams across platforms, winning a Latin GRAMMY for his work with J Balvin, an official in-game jersey in EA FC24 and press support across a wide range of mainstream and tastemaker outlets. A signifier of Michaël’s communal spirit within music is his annual BAYO block party, this year held at Brooklyn’s Prospect Park. BAYO, translated to English means “to give” and the party is a celebration of Caribbean culture in all forms and although it continues to grow in popularity (the most recent event bringing in upwards of 8,000 revellers), BAYO continues to foster a familial feeling, uniting various members of the Caribbean diaspora.
“Safe” is a timely release for Michaël Brun and the world, as voices of division continue to raise internationally, this collaboration shows that unity and understanding amongst communities are needed now more than ever.

12. Terry Presume – Rage And Purity
Source:Terry Presume
Today the Nashville-via-Florida rapper Terry Presume releases his anticipated new Rage And Purity project via September Recordings. Rage And Purity houses a collection of roaring tracks that are filled to the brim with an astronomical air of swaggering braggadocio and displays his fierce and staggering rapping ability front and center. The project unveils a new chapter for Terry in which he cuts deep with unfiltered and deeply palpable introspection that’s brilliantly paired with hard hitting beats and production that remain thrilling and boundless in nature. Rage And Purity serves as the follow up to Terry’s breakout debut project What Box? that thrust him onto the music scene, and now Terry arrives in new form to make his mark on the larger rap arena as one of the genre’s most exhilarating new forces.
The critically acclaimed What Box? cemented Terry as an essential new musical artist and its breakthrough track “Act Up” has amassed around 15 million streams to date. The project housed a collection of captivating songs that brilliantly captured his riveting blend of signature rap, pop, R&B, funk, and more. The project was lauded by The Guardian, FADER, MTV, Interview Magazine, Teen Vogue, Notion, UPROXX, PIGEONS & PLANES, and Ones To Watch. He masterfully produces sounds that envelope a world unrestricted by genres and social norms thus, forging new spaces for people who don’t quite fit into existing molds. Expertly blending his words with hypotonic beats either accented by electric guitar or synth transmission, he’s able to place a timely message firmly in focus that soars as he breaks through genre barriers.
Born in South Florida and raised in a neighborhood called Golden Gate by a Haitian single mother, Terry has overcome more than most with music providing a source of survival and healing. He grew up surrounded by Haitian Kompa music that his mother played for him and the sounds of 50 Cent, Eminem, and classic R&B that lined his community. At just 8 years old as a shy kid, Terry wrote his first poem, and by the age of 11 taught himself to write and produce music – both of which he excelled in and used as a medium to navigate the different cultures and worlds that he straddled. He later escaped to Los Angeles with nothing but a dream of “success” and $200 in his pocket, resulting in a tumultuous period in his life. Terry ultimately relocated to Nashville where he doubled down on his music and found a stronger sense of self, resulting in a body of work led by his emotions and lived experiences – not genres. Terry bears every facet of himself with an unquantifiable depth and gratitude, honoring his pain, sorrow, heartbreak, and newfound enlightenment, unlike what is often seen in music today.
QUOTE ON RAGE AND PURITY FROM TERRY :
“I was going through a lot during the time I was making the new project, and I decided to write about it and pour it all into this new work, whether it was good or bad. That’s how ‘Rage And Purity’ came to life. It was meant to capture the polarity between good and bad.”

Reflecting on the creative process behind the new single, Will shares, “It started with a simple room recording, capturing the atmosphere around me, which is often how I begin. 17. Max McNown – Better Me For You
Source:Max McNown
Today, in an exclusive interview with Billboard, Nashville-based singer-songwriter Max McNown announced his sophomore album Night Diving (out January 24, 2025 via Fugitive Recordings x The Orchard) alongside the release of his introspective single “Better Me For You (Brown Eyes).” Album pre-order goes live on Friday, November 15.
Following the release of “Hotel Bible,” the introspective new single boasts earnest lyrics that offer a personal reflection on rising to the occasion for a once-in-a-lifetime love. The song’s protagonist has just met the girl of his dreams, “but it’s more than just her alluring brown eyes that captivate him,” shares Max. “She imbues goodness and, above all, has a “heart of gold.”
Both tracks are part of the stunning Night Diving LP, which is McNown’s promising followup to his critically-acclaimed debut album Wandering. Produced by Jamie Kenney (Colbie Caillat, Laci Kaye Booth), Night Diving is a body of work that explores new and daring sonic terrain while fully affirming McNown’s extraordinary capacity to ease the mind and strengthen the soul. In an exclusive feature revealing McNown as Country Rookie of the Month, Billboard says, ”The new music centers on his poetic, observational writing style, while adding polish to his personally-crafted songs.” Read the full interview here.
Just last month, McNown was also featured as CMT’s Next Up Now featured artist as we saw the release of his Willfully Blind EP, which landed as the Oregon-born artist made his AmericanaFest debut, and as we saw another major resurgence of his breakout hit single “A Lot More Free” after this TikTok celebrating the track’s one year anniversary went viral (14.7M views and counting). Since the single’s release it has amassed over 80M+ streams, earned McNown a top spot as #1 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart, peaked at #1 on the iTunes singles chart and #1 on the TikTok Breakthrough USA chart, climbed the Canadian Hot 100 chart, and was placed on Spotify’s Hot Country and Viral 50 global playlists.
At 23, McNown has already been on a storied musical journey. Taking control of his future, overcoming personal challenges, and drawing inspiration from his brother who was bravely fighting cancer, McNown packed his bags and drove from remote Oregon to Southern California. From there, videos of him busking on a pier made an impact online and eventually grew into a legion of supporters on TikTok (currently has 1.9M followers). After attracting interest from major TV talent shows, McNown auditioned for one and then decided it wasn’t for him, and gracefully turned them down as he knew he needed to walk his own path.
Earlier this year, McNown earned ample support for his first full-length record, Wandering, which was listed as a top debut album of the year by Whiskey Riff, and lauded by Holler, American Songwriter, People Magazine, and more. He then went on his first tours supporting folk band Briscoe, Australian artist Blake Rose, and opened for major country stars such as Wynonna Judd, plus made his Grand Ole Opry debut.
The rising singer-songwriter’s debut headline tour kicks off in January 2025 and has already sold out stops in New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, and other cities. Next year, he will also be performing at Arizona’s Extra Innings Festival – visit maxmcnown.com for more information and catch him opening for Corey Kent and Sam Barber this fall and winter.

Never holding back in his music or life, Quezz Ruthless has rightfully earned his “wild child” title. Today, the Memphis riser shares the video for “N.W.A.,” a highlight track from his recent mixtape Y.N.S. “N.W.A.” finds Quezz channeling the energy of the influential rap group the track is named after, issuing a warning to the opps and flexing his flashy new purchases: “I got the racks in my denim / They can’t even feed me to go up a size or two / I know these n****s don’t like me / I say what I want, I’m a n***a with attitude.” In the video, directed by TCP, Quezz rides around town with his crew, feeling unstoppable when he’s dripped out in designer and counting his stacks of cash.
“N.W.A.” is a highlight track from Quezz Ruthless’ recent mixtape, Y.N.S and follows up the video for “Jackpot” and “N**** Show Us.” The Grim Reaper Gang rapper’s bars reflect his “Ruthless” artist name, showing no remorse for anyone who might cause an obstacle to his inevitable rise. Short for Yung N**** Sh*t, the tape was created in honor of Quezz Ruthless’s brother and biggest inspiration: the late Big Scarr. Y.N.S. hosts “Big Scarr Flow Part 2,” in which Quezz channels the style of his older brother to get off some of his toughest bars to date: “How you a ape but you scared of Gorillas/I walk around with your stash in my denims/B*tch, I’m the big dog, I’m king of the kennel,” he spits. The tape’s final track, “Ain’t Stoppin‘,” produced by GRAMMY-nominated production duo The Trillionaires, features a posthumous verse from Scarr himself, as Quezz resolves to never stop paying tribute to his brother’s memory.
Quezz Ruthless is one of the most exciting young rappers in the bustling Memphis rap scene. It’s no wonder that fans and the industry have been clamouring for JBEE’s return ever since he dropped his HBK mixtape last summer, and seemingly went underground. 26. Pa Salieu – Afrikan Alien
Source:Pa Salieu
Following an incredible return to the stage this past Tuesday at London’s The Garage, his first live show in over two years, Gambia-via-Coventry artist Pa Salieu releases his new mixtape Afrikan Alien via Warner Records UK. Featuring previously released tracks “Belly,” “Allergy” and “Dece (Heavy)” – which Pa recently performed on Colors – Afrikan Alien is Pa’s first project since 2021’s Afrikan Rebel EP & 2020’s full-length mixtape Send Them To Coventry.
An astonishing 11-track collection, Afrikan Alien represents everything that has marked Pa Salieu as one of the most pivotal and important artists of our time. The sounds are classic Pa – marrying the experimental with innately catchy, vivid tones that touch on Afrobeats, UK rap and R&B. Meanwhile Pa’s lyricism is as striking as ever, inspired by reflections during his 2 ½ year-long imprisonment that showcase not just the deep sense of vulnerability and emotional intelligence that saw him quickly ascend through the music industry, but the deep conviction and empathy to be a figurehead for future generations across the diaspora. Watch Episode 8 of Afrikan Rebel Diaries here for a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the making of Afrikan Alien.
Beginning with the soulful keys of “Afrikan Di Alien,” which touches upon the transatlantic slave trade and the ensuing institutional racism the diaspora still endures today, the project touches flits between the futuristic forward-facing jazz of Belly, the gentle African-inspired guitar of “Round & Round,” classic Afrobeats of Allergy and electricity of “Dece (Heavy),” which sees Pa record in his mother tongue for the first time. Across the project, Pa enlists a global community of voices across the diaspora, including Nigerian rap star ODUMODUBLVCK, Ghanian wordsmith Black Sherif and Jamaican dancehall star Byron Messiah, to tell the real story of a first-generation alien who embodies the values and conviction that actually makes Britain great. The project culminates in “YGF” – or Young, Great and Free – a celebration of Pa’s freedom from both the inner and real-world imprisonment he’s faced these past few years.
Speaking on the project Pa shares, “I refuse to be broken down. Prison taught me that bitterness won’t solve anything. Acceptance of my situation led to my personal growth. I was gone two years, so what? There’s going to be plenty of bad times in our lives. We just need to stay prepared and know that there’ll be better times ahead.”

He admits, “Always looked up to the hustlers and the ballers.” A frenetic piano loop pierces the thick bass of “Grow Up,” while “Street Love” depicts a rare romance. Then, there’s “Don’t Give Up On Me.” Woozy guitar infuses bluesy energy into the track as his unfiltered rhymes take hold. Source:Juice WRLD
Today, Juice WRLD and Nicki Minaj unite on “All Girls Are the Same 2 (Insecure)” the never-released, never-leaked sequel to the late legend’s first-ever single. Listen HERE via Grade A Productions & Interscope Records.

The global celebration of life will include an exclusive listening experience, plus special guest performances and other surprises. Tickets HERE.
The original “All Girls Are the Same (Insecure)” introduced the globe to an artist whose impact would turn out to be nothing short of monumental. The vulnerable 2017 hit — an emo-rap archetype — has since been RIAA-certified 8x Platinum®, racking up over a billion streams on Spotify alone, while inspiring countless artists and fans alike to explore their feelings out in the open.
“All Girls Are the Same 2 (Insecure)” opens with a familiar refrain, “I admit it, another ho got me finished,” but nothing else is the same. Juice is a rock star now, singing with his chest out, voice fraying as he paints the scene: “Bad women, no-good bad women / Hotel rooms in Versace linens / Wake up in the morning screaming for some Advil / Last night, last night was too mad real.”
Echoing Juice’s vulnerability, Nicki sings throughout the song before sharing some bars and a final thought that seems to speak directly to her old friend: “Is there anyway, is there anyway / That you book a different plane and say you’ll stay?”
Produced by Louis Bell (Post Malone, Justin Bieber) — who also contributed to Juice’s Death Race for Love LP and his Future mixtape WRLD ON DRUGS — “All Girls Are the Same 2 (Insecure)” shimmers with soaring melodies and distorted bass. When Juice hits the hook complete with backing vocals, he sounds ready to front a band: “Your insecurities will get the best of me.”
There’s a lot of history on the track. Juice and Nicki co-headlined the 2018 Nicki Wrld Tour. They also appear on 2023 Young Thug cut “Money” and Nicki’s teased a long-lost Juice collab in promoting her deluxe edition of Pink Friday 2.
Next week, the legacy, music and style of Juice WRLD is celebrated in Fortnite Battle Royale, Chapter 2 Remix, with more to come later this month.
“All Girls Are the Same 2 (Insecure)” follows the recent release of The Pre-Party (Extended), an EP collecting four songs long whispered-about by fans. There was “Lightyears” featuring Young Thug and the darkly booming “Cavalier.” Also, luxe emo-rap cut “World Tour (Aquafina)” with its celebratory visual full of tour footage (watch HERE), and the minimal, moody “Both Ways,” which came with a video co-directed by by Juice friend and collaborator Trippie Redd (HERE).
In April 2020, Juice’s mother Carmela Wallace announced the Live Free 999 Fund, which receives support from individual donors in addition to Grade A and Interscope. Live Free 999 honors the legacy of Jarad Higgins, aka Juice, by supporting young people in their battles, and doing so with love, joy, and emotional honesty. Source:Skyzoo – Topic
After dropping a loosie, “The Workload,” featuring Method Man a few weeks ago, Skyzoo is back with a new single and a new album announcement.
Now, in addition to releasing “Courtesy Call” featuring the legendary Chuck D, Skyzoo has also announced the follow-up to his critically acclaimed, The Mind Of A Saint, as his new album, Keep Me Company, will be released on 11.29.24. “Courtesy Call” is now available at all DSP’s.
“The idea behind “Courtesy Call” came from the energy of the beat itself. The track, produced by The Dagger, out of Michigan, is bare-boned and layered all at once; between the subs and the 808’s going neck and neck with the breakbeat drums. It’s sort of a double entendre in its own right, and the intensity of it led me to write a sparring session over it. As someone known for double-meanings, but also storytelling, it had been a while since I used that multi-layered part of my arsenal to just “rap”; so this was an opportunity to just rhyme relentlessly. The beauty of the record is every single line is at least a double entendre, if not a triple” Skyzoo explains. “For the hook, I had this idea of a grand and boisterous voice to being the “warning” home; and there’s none better than the legendary Chuck D. Over the years, Chuck has been a huge supporter of mine, so we were overdue for a collab—and I am honored to have him on the record with me.”
Skyzoo’s new album, Keep Me Company, will be released on 11.29.24 via FGR Inc./Old Soul Music.
37. Ella Rosa – Stay 4 Love
Source:ELLA ROSA
Rising dance-pop act Ella Rosa reveals her new single, “STAY 4 LOVE,” out today on Palm Tree Records. Riding the high-energy wave of her previous track, “FUN,” this new release showcases Ella’s unique ability to create daring, boundary-breaking pop anthems.
Blending her sultry R&B vocals with hypnotic beats, “STAY 4 LOVE” invites listeners to lose themselves in its irresistible groove. The track captures the intensity of a night out where nothing goes as planned but hope somehow lingers.
“‘STAY 4 LOVE’ was born out of a night where everything went wrong—card declined, seeing my ex make out with a close friend. Despite it all, I stayed, hoping I’d lock eyes with someone new and maybe make my ex jealous,” says Ella. “This song nails that mix of hope and chaos. It’s fun, it’s easy to dance to, and now, it’s my anthem for knowing when to call it a night.”
38. Wheeler Walker Jr. – Ram (Deluxe Edition)
Source:WheelerWalkerJr
Country music’s most notorious rebel, and the greatest Country singer in the world, Wheeler Walker Jr., is back! After recently completing his 72-city Spread Eagle tour, Wheeler has now released an expanded edition of his latest release album Ram. The Ram Deluxe Edition includes two new remixes produced by Pops (J.Cole, The Game ft Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean); “Born To F*ck” featuring recent Grammy Award Winner Killer Mike (who swept all of the major categories including Rap Album Of The Year at the 2023 Grammy’s), and “Money ‘N’ Bit*hes” which features one of Hip-Hop’s most inventive and fun artists Danny Brown. “Both new singles are now available at all DSP’s.
These two new collaborations cement Wheeler’s legacy of fearlessly pushing boundaries and organically aligns with his “no fucks given” ethos, something Hip-Hop has long embodied. “Wheeler has been waiting to collaborate with hip-hop artists his whole career. They’re the only popular artists he understands. He grew up in Kentucky listening to Country, but his friends played him N.W.A., and the Geto Boys. He loved it” a close source confirmed. “The Geto Boys were nastier than him and they were on FUC*ING MTV! 2 Live Crew fought for freedom of speech thirty years ago and Wheeler still can’t get on a playlist. Hip-hop artists are attracted to collaborate with Wheeler because of his language, artistry, and attitude” the source adds.
Walker’s collaboration with Killer Mike on “Born To F*ck” was conceived out of a mutual appreciation for classic hip-hop. The two initially connected over their love for Scarface from The Geto Boys. Killer Mike’s verse is dedicated to Brother Marquis of 2 Live Crew; an homage to the unapologetic style that Wheeler has championed throughout his career.
Danny Brown’s feature on “Money ‘N’ Bit*hes” further solidifies the symbiotic connection between Walker and the rap world. Wheeler recalls similar conversations with Brown about their shared admiration for music that pushes the boundaries of free speech. It’s no wonder Snoop Dogg once sang Wheeler’s breakout hit “Fuck You Bi*ch” on his Instagram; a nod to the respect the trailblazer garners from legends across genres.
“My two favorite rappers are Killer Mike and Danny Brown. Lucky for me, they’re the only two rappers I’m friends with. So I called ‘em up and we made magic together” Walker explains.
Since his debut in 2016, Wheeler Walker Jr. has released five albums, all produced by Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson). Ram Deluxe is the latest chapter in Walker’s rebellious journey, one that has consistently flipped the script on what it means to be a country artist. Walker has long admired hip-hop for its brutal honesty and freedom of expression, something he’s always strived to embody. His career has seen him openly clash with industry norms, to expressing his disdain with fellow artists like Post Malone, Wheeler went viral once again for mocking Malone’s shift to country (and losing 4,000 social media followers in the process), to staging a one-man demonstration on the steps of the Country Music Hall Of Fame protesting an exhibit which highlighted Florida Georgia Line.
Ram Deluxe is poised to shake things up even more, adding a new layer to Wheeler Walker Jr.’s legacy as the foul-mouthed outlaw of country music; one who has no interest in changing, or following the rules.
39. Armani White – TTSO
Source:Armani White
Continuing a meteoric rise as a Philadelphia’s next hip-hop heavy hitter, charismatic, Platinum-selling, West Philly artist Armani White unleashes a brand-new single entitled “TTSO”. Listen to “TTSO” HERE.
Armani initially teased “TTSO” on social media, lighting up both Instagram and TikTok in the process with over a million views. The track laces a head-nodding beat with a triumphant loop, underscoring his upbeat and unbreakable flow. Once again, he drops braggadocios bars with swagger and style. It climaxes on an anthemic chant, “throw that shit on.”
The new song arrives in the wake of last year’s Road to CASABLANCO. EP. It ushered him to the forefront of the mainstream, posting up over half-a-billion streams and counting anchored by the success of the platinum selling viral hit “BILLIE EILISH.” Inciting critical acclaim from XXL and more, Billboard chronicled how, “Despite his big, bright smile and sweet demeanor, Armani White has been through some of life’s toughest battles.” HipHopDX raved, “The greatest strength of this project is how it positions Armani as able to hang on records with multiple generations.” HotNewHipHop assured, “This project alone showcases Armani’s lyrical strength.”
Among other accolades, he has also delivered showstopping performances at the BET Hip Hop Awards, Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!, MTV EMAS, Dick Clark’s NEW YEAR’S ROCKIN’ EVE, Streamy’s and beyond. Plus, BET christened him a “BET Amplified Artist,” and MTV touted him as a Global PUSH artist.
40. 070 Shake – Petrichor
Source:070 Shake
070 Shake releases her highly anticipated new album, Petrichor via Def Jam Recordings. Executive-produced by Shake and longtime collaborator Dave Hamelin, Petrichor is her boldest and most intimate album yet. Acoustic guitars, ornate piano passages, ominous synths, dembow and hip-hop rhythms, with a dash of psychedelia — Petrichor is a project that melds Shake’s personal tastes, lived experiences and limitless creativity showcasing that she is truly in a league of her own.
Alongside the album’s release, Shake formally announces her 2025 headline tour launching January 21st in Atlanta. She will take her catalog across North America with performances in Chicago, Washington D.C, Los Angeles, New York and more before heading across the pond for the EU/UK leg which will see live dates in Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, and finally London. Exclusive fan presale begins Tuesday, November 19th at 10am local time. Sign up now at www.070shake.com/tour. Advance access for Cash App customers begins Monday, November 18th at 10am local time.
Petrichor includes a wide range of guests who lend their voices to the album’s epic narrative, including Courtney Love on Shake’s cover of the 1970 Tim Buckley song “Song to the Siren,” with contributions from Melissa Auf der Maur which marks the first recording they’ve shared since Hole. JT of City Girls on the mystical track “Into Your Garden,” and Nashville singer-songwriter Cam on the euphoric “Never Let Us Fade.” Lily-Rose Depp appears on the emotionally charged “Blood On Your Hands,” on which Shake recites a spoken-word passage of devotion to a “fatal lover.” Then Depp enters, reading aloud from a letter she had originally written to Shake that begins with the words: “I cannot begin to untangle myself from you.” The album also includes the previously released single “Winter Baby / New Jersey Blues,” which arrived alongside a music video starring the boundaryless artist and her partner Lily-Rose Depp. With Depp in the role of a classic femme fatale and Shake as her elusive love interest, they defy the public’s judgment and deliriously pursue each other like rebels to the world across the 1950s jukebox feel of “Winter Baby” through the distorted 808 bass of “New Jersey Blues”.
The album’s title Petrichor is a term used to describe the smell that comes after the first rainfall on arid ground. “It brings me to this part of myself where I feel oneness with everything that I’ve ever been through, every age that I’ve ever been,” Shake says of the smell. This latest album displays Shake’s most adventurous and far-reaching compositions to date, as she embarks on a search for salvation while battling the vices of the world and the inner turmoil of her mind.
To accompany the album release, Shake shares the new music video for the standout track “Elephant.” The video was filmed during “A Night at the Ballet” in Los Angeles where Shake showcased her expansive vision of Petrichor through dance. The night brought the album’s musical textures to life through a Zoi Tatopoulous (FKA Twigs, Banks) choreographed performance and special guest appearance from dancer Violetta Komyshan.
Since her breakout year in 2018, the New Jersey native has become known for her emotional vocal delivery and futuristic production, combining elements of hip-hop, pop and electronic. Shake released her critically acclaimed debut album Modus Vivendi in 2020, followed by You Can’t Kill Me in 2022. In 2023, she appeared on RAYE’s hit single “Escapism,” which hit No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart, peaked at No. 22 on the Billboard Hot 100, and went double platinum in the US and multiple other countries. Petrichor is an ambitious step forward for the artist, exposing the most intimate parts of her heart and incorporating rich orchestral arrangements and live piano, guitar and drums into her experimental sound palette.

42. Chloe Star – Stand The Silence
Source:Chloe Star – Topic
Rising alt-pop sensation Chloe Star reveals her new single, “Stand The Silence.” Written and recorded at Cloud X Studio in London with producer Ted Loco and co-writers Matilda Cole and lleo, this track showcases a more delicate and introspective side of Chloe’s sound, a contrast to the gritty rock vibes of her recent single “FMIF” and debut EP the bed i lie in.
“Stand The Silence” captures the emotional highs and lows of an artist’s life—the exhilarating rush of touring and performing set against the quiet loneliness that creeps in when the lights go out. Chloe’s raw, vulnerable lyrics, paired with a heart-wrenching melody, reveal an intimate portrait of her inner battles.
Chloe shares, “’Stand The Silence’ is about the loneliness that sets in when the rush and energy of everything subsides, and you’re left alone with your thoughts and demons.”
Chloe Star is a Persian and Indigenous singer, songwriter, visual artist, and tribal advocate. Growing up she split her time between Los Angeles and her family’s reservation in San Bernardino. With a childhood that was chaotic and often unstable environment, she turned to journaling, poetry, and eventually songwriting as a form of expression.
Bold, queer, and a fierce advocate for female empowerment, Chloe defies convention, blending elements of pop, rock, and punk into a sound that’s unapologetically her own. With early praise from outlets like EUPHORIA, 1883 Magazine, and EARMILK, Chloe Star is a rising force on the alt-pop scene.
43. Eighty Ninety – Yourself
Source:Eighty Ninety
Eighty Ninety—the indie-pop project of brothers Abner (vocals, production) and Harper (guitar, production) James—make a powerful return with their new single, “Yourself,” out on all streaming platforms today.
Marking their first release since their self-titled debut album, “Yourself” is a pulse-pounding, emotionally charged track that captures the band’s signature blend of indie-pop energy and introspective lyricism. With its catchy sound and deeply relatable narrative, “Yourself” is set to strike a chord with listeners.
“’Yourself’ is about the quiet disconnect that can exist between two people, even when they’re physically close—and how easily things slip away when you’re not fully present and when you’re not giving yourself over to something,” Abner says. “We tried to capture those small, unnoticed moments that eventually add up, leaving you wondering what exactly you missed along the way until you realize what you missed wasn’t ‘something’- it was everything.”
Eighty Ninety fuse intimate storytelling, sticky melodies, and minimalist pop productions built on acoustic instruments and electronic sounds in a style they call “808s and telecasters”—a shorthand for both their music and their anything-goes mentality in the studio. The band first made waves in 2016 with their debut EP, Elizabeth, featuring the viral hit “Three Thirty.” Since then, the New York-based duo have amassed over 35 million streams, earned acclaim from tastemakers like Alternative Press and Billboard, and secured sync placements on Netflix and MTV shows.
After the long-awaited release of their self-titled debut album in late 2023, “Yourself” is the perfect next step in Eighty Ninety’s musical journey, showcasing their evolution as artists while staying true to the sound that has garnered them a loyal following.

44. Carlita – Sentimental
Source:Carlita
Today, Turkish-Italian DJ and producer Carlita releases her highly-anticipated debut album, Sentimental. The album, which is the culmination of Carlita’s lifelong journey through music, is out now via Ninja Tune.
Throughout its 12 tracks, Sentimental taps into Carlita’s passion for Turkish psychedelia and ’90s rock while touching her roots in classical music. This blend of influences, paired with collaborations with Sicilian musician Orofino, super dance/pop producer SG Lewis, and mentor-manager DJ Tennis, fuse into her penchant for house, techno, and indie dance and tell the whole story of Carlita’s musical odyssey, which began at age three when she first learned the piano and has taken her to dance music’s most coveted spaces.
Carlita’s greatest strength as a musician, her natural ability to learn any instrument, permeates the tracklist on Sentimental. Recordings of her playing piano, cello, bass guitar, drums, and more are featured throughout the album and, paired with her knowledge of music theory, give the body of work its timeless, intuitive, and cohesive feel. It’s easy to imagine tracks like “Time,” “The Moment,” and “Trouble Symphony” working beautifully on the dance floor, but there’s also the essence of something deeper, the touch of a musical scholar that pushes Sentimental beyond clubs and festivals, and into backyards, dining rooms, runways, and all places reserved for bringing people together.
45. Flight Facilities & DRAMA – Dancing On My Own
Source:Glitterbox
Today, award-winning Australian duo Flight Facilities and Chicago duo DRAMA land on Glitterbox with “Dancing On My Own.” Flight Facilities’ impact on the electronic scene of their home country is well documented, with their crossover sound hitting the ARIA charts and earning them numerous AIR awards—most recently for Best Independent Dance or Electronic Album in 2022.
Throughout their extensive career, their expansive disco-tinged tracks have been remixed by the likes of Chloe Caillet, Riva Starr, and Folamour. With leagues of experience working with top-tier vocalists, including Kylie Minogue, Aloe Blacc, and Channel Tres, Flight Facilities now, once again, collaborate with producer and vocalist duo DRAMA. The Windy City pair often bring a blend of R&B and hip-hop influences to their eclectic Chicago house-inspired releases, earning them acclaim from tastemakers across the globe. “Dancing On My Own” combines Flight Facilities’ sleek, disco-laden production with the chill, melancholic dance vocal stylings of DRAMA for a distinct addition to the Glitterbox catalog. The single will be both artists’ debut on the iconic UK label, which has been home to artists like Honey Dijon, Folamour, Purple Disco Machine, and more.
“Anyone who has had a night out, on their own, knows the vulnerable feeling of flying solo. It’s awkward and uncomfortable at first, but they quickly become the best memories. “Dancing On My Own” is a tribute to our formative experience of embracing solitude with strangers.”
— Flight Facilities
Through their Decades Mixes and massive record collection, which came to life during their expansive, sold-out The Decades Tour last year, Flight Facilities have devoted themselves as dancefloor scholars. The result takes listeners on unsuspecting journeys through musical history to places and times they may have never visited, but that feel familiar nonetheless. Flight Facilities’ music bridges the gap between the vast spectrum of music enthusiasts and, in turn, creates a global community that comes together and finds a connection both on and off the dancefloor.
Since originating in 2008 in Sydney, Australia, Flight Facilities, across two albums and a myriad of beloved singles, has amassed over 1.5 billion streams across DSPs and YouTube. They’ve circled the globe as both maestros behind the decks and as a live band, performing for over one million fans worldwide over the course of their career.
46. ROZET – Eat
Source:Rozet – Topic
Miami-born, LA-based producer, singer, and rapper ROZET has announced their upcoming HEAD EP with a new single ‘Eat’ out now via Young Art Records. Co-produced by Wichtea and Machinedrum, ‘Eat’ serves as the third single off the EP following ‘Thinking A Lot’ and ‘Feelings Aren’t Facts’.
‘Eat’ is fueled by ROZET’s punchy topline and eclectic production style that ranges from Miami Bass and Jersey Cub to jungle inspired breaks. Powerful and raw, their sharp-tongued lyricism cuts through bouncy kicks, choppy synths, and hyper-rhythmic percussion. Thrilling from the jump, ‘Eat’ displays the absorbent spontaneity and sonic depth that will be explored on ROZET’s upcoming HEAD EP.
Inspired by ROZET’s background as a member of the ballroom/vogue scene in Miami growing up, the track is inspired by colloquialisms for praise within the community such as “they ate that” or “that outfit eats”.
“It reflects a sense of owning the moment, which parallels the satisfaction and confidence one feels after enjoying a delicious meal. Both literal eating and the “Watch me eat” term convey a sense of pleasure, presence, and self-assuredness, whether through savoring food or confidently showing up in a setting,” ROZET commented. “I hope when people listen to “Eat” they imagine themselves wearing leather boots and stomping out any doubts they may have, while taking up as much space as they need to express themselves authentically,” ROZET added.
Emerging after years in stealth mode, Miami-born, LA-based multidisciplinary artist ROZET is poised to be one of the year’s favorite new acts. Following a recent feature on Machinedrum’s ‘RISE’ via Ninja Tune, ROZET released the first two singles, ‘Thinking A Lot’ and ‘Feelings Aren’t Facts’, off their upcoming HEAD EP. Set to arrive in early 2025, HEAD feeds on ROZET’s studies in Psychology, Buddhism and mental health treatment and combines it with their training as a dancer and musician, finding the space where sound, mind, and body converge.
47. Yola – Symphony
Source:Yola
Today, Yola released her anthemic new single “Symphony,” exploring the magic of both emotional and sexual connection, from her forthcoming EP My Way, set for release January 17 via S-Curve Records. Drawing influence from progressive R&B, classic funk and soulful pop, it marks a new era for the six-time GRAMMY-nominated artist.
Listen to “Symphony” HERE
The track, with its infectious drum beat, muscular bass line, and slinky funk guitar recalls the classic funk and broken beat scene that heavily influenced Yola in her formative years. A mantra-like chorus and vocal hook combines into a blend that pays homage to Childish Gambino, En Vogue, Janet Jackson and Funkadelic, and other key influences on this remarkable artist. Yola continues to move through musical spaces and claim them with agency and aplomb.
About the track, Yola says, “I’m exploring the element of surprise in this song, talking about when you’ve suddenly found someone that is not a fuckboy, someone that is not a waste of skin, and actually really dope. And you instantly feel ready to have both a deeper conversation and sexual connection. After experiencing dating app nightmares in these streets, there is a sense of surprise and profound shock when you meet someone that is a functioning human being, let alone the love of your life, especially in the context of this barrage of nightmares.”
Adding, “I was listening to a lot of classic funk at the time of making the record, and later I realized that Childish Gambino and I were listening to a lot of the same stuff, particularly the classic funk, syncopated group vocals that Parliament-Funkadelic pioneered. Everyone has a mic, the chorus and the verse are sung in chorus. I was excavating that vibe from my time in Bugz In The Attic, and I’m returning to it again now on this song.”
“Symphony” was produced by Yola, GRAMMY Award-winning producer Sean Douglas (Lizzo, Chris Brown, Madonna, Selena Gomez, and Sia), and producer Zach Skelton (Lil Nas X, John Legend, Paul McCartney) and follows “Future Enemies,” her latest single released earlier this fall to critical acclaim. Both tracks mark a new direction, and a return to Yola’s musical roots, referencing UK’s Broken Beat scene, R&B, electronica, and more.
The new EP, intentionally titled My Way as a nod to her unique genre-fluid ethos, draws from a range of Yola’s influences that include progressive R&B, 70-80’s soulful pop, 90’s R&B and neo soul, as well as the cornerstone influence of the UK broken beats scene, from which Yola emerged, performing with Bugz In The Attic in the mid 2000’s.
Broken Beat, Bruk or The West London sound, was a dance music movement whose pioneers included IG Culture, Phil Asher, 4Hero, Gilles Peterson, and collective Bugz in the Attic, whose members included Orin Walters (Afronaut), Paul Dolby (Seiji), Kaidi Tatham, Daz-I-Kue, Alex Phountzi (Neon Phusion), Cliff Scott, Mark Force, and Matt Lord, plus Hannah Vasanth, who Yola collaborated with on her critically acclaimed album, Stand For Myself.
My Way showcases her powerhouse vocals which soulfully explore themes including relationship boundaries, creative autonomy, and even diving into political commentary, exploring the Windrush movement and the diasporic British subculture from which Yola draws inspiration.
48. BLOND:ISH & Bantu – Can’t Let You Go
Source:BLOND:ISH
Today, BLOND:ISH unveils plans for her compassionate new body of work, Never Walk Alone, her second studio album forthcoming via Insomniac Records on February 14, 2025. Alongside the announcement comes the new single “Can’t Let You Go,” featuring Zimbabwe singer and producer Bantu.
In a world full of isolation and an ever-growing need to focus on mental health, Never Walk Alone (and its title track released this summer) is meant to serve as a friend in times of anxiety and loneliness. The previous single, “Different Way,” reminded us that even though we all endlessly compare ourselves to others, everyone’s journey is unique. With “Can’t Let You Go,” BLOND:ISH explores the bittersweet tug-of-war between hello and goodbye with a loved one.
“Meeting Bantu was a super sweet random encounter. We went deep pretty quickly. I spoke to him about the intentions infused into this album. I wanted it to open up people into discovering they are their own best friend — and he immediately wanted to add his distinct flavor.”
— BLOND:ISH
BLOND:ISH has woven a thread of positive messaging through her most recent singles, along with masterfully blending a tonic of genres that aim to beam her compassionate transmissions far and wide. While the late summer mood-lifter “Never Walk Alone” called on pop, indie, and soul, “Different Way” combines surf rock, synth pop, and house music. On “Can’t Let You Go,” BLOND:ISH, alongside Bantu, polishes her natural love for Afro-house, a genre that has been a staple in her DJ sets. The goal is that these songs push the planet closer to “Happy Happy World” (an inclusive place of sustainable unity, respect, and nourishment).

50. Tre Loaded ft. BigXthaPlug – Another Whip (Remix)
Source:TreLoaded
Turning up the heat in Memphis with his simmering bangers and bottomless book of bars, Tre Loaded has what it takes to be a star. Keeping the momentum high following the release of his LOADED EP earlier this Fall, Tre taps BigXthaPlug for the remix to “Another Whip,” his viral breakout track (4M+ streams across platforms). The track finds Tre effortlessly flexing and putting his opps in their place over bouncy yet assertive production anchored by insistent 808s. Bringing his signature southern drawl to the instrumental, Tre delivers line after line of quotable bars: “Trappin from AM to PM / And I got thick shi*t all up in my DM / Feel like Chief Keef I don’t f*ck with my BM.” BigX comes in blazing as Tre’s verse comes to a close, confident in his status as one of Texas’ finest and unfazed by the hate: “I’m a gangsta, ain’t nothin’ like the little shrimp / Pockets so swole, coulda swore that I hit the gym / He say he from the block, don’t remember him / He keep callin’ me fam, I ain’t kin to him.”
Tre Loaded is currently opening for BigXthaPlug on his “Take Care Tour,” hitting 10 dates in the Southern U.S., including upcoming appearances in St. Louis, Houston, and Dallas. Tickets for the “Take Care Tour” are available HERE
Earlier this year, Tre Loaded delivered on his immense potential with LOADED, a 12-track mixtape full of unapologetic Southern rap bangers. LOADED is home to singles like “Another Whip,” which has over 3.6 million streams across platforms and is picking up momentum on social platforms like TikTok and has charted in multiple cities on Shazam, including Atlanta and Dallas, as well as “Push Start,” another slinky single with a flashy music video to match. Featuring a guest appearance from That Mexican OT on the trumpet-laden new single “The Ticket,” covered by outlets like Stereogum and HipHopDX, LOADED is available everywhere via Loaded 4 Life/PULSE Records/Connect.
LOADED is the next rung on Tre’s ladder to success. Tre grew up in East Memphis surrounded by music, taking trips to the studio to listen to rappers like his uncle Don Trip. Tre started rhyming at age fifteen, inspired by his Memphis forebears and lyrical street rappers like Rod Wave and Ralo to turn the booth into his diary and turn rapping into his career. In early 2023, Tre first shared “Vo Flow,” a minimalist banger populated mostly by snapping fingers, low-note guitars, and Tre’s percussive voice, which eventually gained traction on social platforms like TikTok. The song has generated over 6 million streams across platform to date.
Now ready to take his show on the road with BigX and win new fans along the way, Tre Loaded is the next Tennessee upstart to know. Stay tuned and watch him elevate.

52. Katie Schecter – Pay It No Mind
Source:Katie Schecter
Today, Nashville’s Katie Schecter releases the infectious new single and video “Pay It No Mind.” The song serves as her personal mantra, but reminds us all not to sweat the small stuff. “It’s not about ignoring all things unfavorable and living in a bubble of ignorance…it’s about saving your energy for when it really counts, for the stuff that really matters” she shares. Schecter wrote the song in its entirety while sitting behind the drum kit. “That’s not my typical approach to writing, but I’d been listening to Bill Withers ‘Use Me Up’ on repeat just after he had passed, and I was pretending I was James Gadson (falling short obviously), and ended up landing on a groove that felt right and sang aloud to the beat. I put chords to it afterward.”
Recorded live to tape at New York City’s legendary Diamond Mine Studio, “Pay It No Mind” was produced by her husband and creative counterpart Nick Bockrath, lead guitarist for the rock outfit Cage The Elephant.
Featuring her close friends, the rhythm section of dreams Nick Movshon and Homer Steinweiss, Phil Towns on organ, and Matthan Minster on background vocals, it’s easy to understand why the track gets stuck in our heads after just one listen.
The video, directed by Casey Pierce at Tournament Studios in Nashville, was initially inspired by Jørgen Leth’s short film of Andy Warhol eating a cheeseburger. As the concept developed, the plot was lost and the piece became a nod to Pop Art’s often literal interpretation of Western culture and the world and objects that surround us. “The various clutter in the video represents the small stuff,” explains Schecter, “and I’m just trying to tune out the noise and keep it simple.” Pierce’s knack for strong color palettes, paired with Schecter’s cheeky performance makes for a very striking visual presentation. Today’s video was premiered by Flaunt.
This is just a taste of what’s yet to come. Schecter has a new full length album slated to drop sometime in 2025, stay tuned.
53. Skiifall – Mystery Man
Source:SKIIFALL
Montreal’s Skiifall announces the release of his new EP Lovers Til I’m Gone, which is set for release on January 15th, 2025. As previewed by recent single “Problems” and today’s new single “Mystery Man,” Lovers Til I’m Gone finds the artist striking new sonic territory from the road rap-influenced sound on which he first rose to prominence, embracing the sounds of lover’s rock for a stark new chapter in the Skiifall story. Working with Kenny Beats, who produced the entirety of the EP alongside contributions from longtime Skiifall producer YAMA//SOTO, gave Skii both the inspiration and courage to make music that his mother would like. While lover’s rock and reggae more broadly surrounded him during his childhood in both Montreal and St. Vincent, he never considered it as being more than background music until he experienced its ability to serve as a balm from the chaos of life in adulthood.
The release of “Mystery Man” (alongside its Rubberband-directed performance video) today further adds dimension to the world that he and Kenny have built across the body of work that was first showcased in “Problems.” Elsewhere on the EP, Jorja Smith lends a feature to “Her World” that, in addition to her Popcaan-featuring song “Come Over,” showcases how effortlessly her voice meshes with the sonic palette of the Caribbean.
Speaking about Lovers Til I’m Gone, Skiifall shares:
“When I first sat with Kenny Beats he spoke openly about how wanting to honor his father had inspired him to release solo music that ultimately became his debut album Louie. That conversation gave me the inspiration and confidence to try making music that my own mother would like listening to, since my earliest music wasn’t something she could relate to. A combination of the reggae that she played in my house when I was a child and Kenny pushing me to take artistic risks that ultimately resulted in Lovers Til I’m Gone, a project that I’m extremely proud of and excited to share with the world.”
Listen to “Mystery Man” above and see below for the cover art and track listing for Lovers Til I’m Gone ahead of its release in January.

58. Finesse2Tymes – Hard To Believe
Source:Finesse2tymes
Always bringing an unfiltered attitude to his music, Finesse2Tymes doesn’t hold back. Getting ready to release his upcoming project Art of War next week, the Memphis rapper shares “Hard to Believe,” a new video single. Over a soulful R&B sample enhanced with Southern trap drums, Finesse comes in blazing, calling out the people who switched up on him when he got famous: “Seem like everybody love me when I first started rappin’ / Ran up a lil’ money, I got a lil’ famous / Things changed, didn’t claim him, I’m the one who left him hangin’.” In the “Hard to Believe” video, directed by Rodney Pinz, Finesse embraces the theme of his upcoming project, driving a WWII-era tank with his crew and crushing a car, which they later set on fire.
“Hard to Believe” follows up “Very Demure” ft. NLE Choppa and arrives ahead of Finesse2Tymes’ upcoming project Art of War, out 11/22. The project arrives amidst a strong year for Finesse, complete with popular singles like “Down Bad” and “Show Dat Work” ft. GloRilla & Rob49. Art of War promises to build upon this momentum and position Finesse for even more rap success in 2025.
Born and raised on the East Side of Memphis, most of Finesse’s young adulthood was surrounded by the walls of a prison cell. His first prison stint happened at 14 and he was in and out of prison until his most recent release. At 21, he started formally making music, forming a collective called Memphis Greatest Underrated with several local artists including Blac Youngsta and Moneybagg Yo. The crew released a self-titled EP in 2019 while Finesse was serving his final stint in prison as the group disbanded. While away, Finesse perfected his craft, writing rhymes and plotting his next moves to ensure this prison sentence will be his last. He found a way to keep track of the major players in the industry who followed his music. Among them was Mob Ties Founder and CEO J Prince Jr., son of legendary Rap-A-Lot kingpin J. Prince, who later signed him. At the top of July 2022, Finesse left prison and boarded a private jet bound for Houston. The start of his new life had finally begun.
He dropped the menacing “Get Even” within the first week of his release later chasing it with “Back End,” showcasing a more sophisticated style that still harbored his gruff delivery. The single later went on to earn him his first career entry on the Billboard Hot 100 and first RIAA-certified gold record. He even mended fences with Moneybagg Yo, surprising fans everywhere with their collaborative “Black Visa” track and informally inaugurating his signing with Bagg’s Breadgang. Finesse released his debut mixtape 90 Days in December 2022 representing his pivotal first 90 days post prison release. He later returned with the deluxe, 90 Days Later.
With Art of War on the way, Finesse2Tymes is ready to secure his place in rap stardom. Stay tuned for much more from him soon.
59. Popcaan – Where We Come From (10 Year Deluxe Edition)
Source:Popcaan
Popcaan releases Where We Come From 10 Year Deluxe Edition to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the release of his landmark album. The deluxe edition of the album features 3 previously unreleased songs that were initially written during the sessions for Where We Come From, but ultimately not finished in time to be included on the album’s initial release. New songs “Beat The Struggle,” “Don’t Finesse Me” and “Where We Come From (Acoustic)” find Popcaan reunited with producer and Mixpak label head Dre Skull, who executive produced the original album and redefined the sound of contemporary dancehall with Popcaan upon the album’s release.
While Popcaan was already the genre’s rising star prior to the release of Where We Come From and Dre Skull had already left an outsized mark on the genre (notably producing Vybz Kartel’s 2011 album Kingston Story in full), on Popcaan’s debut album he and Dre Skull reimagined what dancehall could be — both in sound and subject matter. The album’s lead single “Everything Nice” was a groundbreaking mix of good times and grief, while the second single “Love Yuh Bad” made a substantial impact, leading to it being sampled on Drake & Rihanna’s five times platinum single “Too Good.” In turn, the album inspired evolution both within the genre and across pop globally as well as earned international acclaim from the likes of Billboard, Complex, The FADER (whose cover Popcaan graced following the album’s release), New York Times, NPR, Pitchfork, The Washington Post and more.

The song closes out the story that unfolded with the release of her acclaimed album, What Happens Now?. Listen to “Heartbreaker From Tennessee” HERE.
On “Heartbreaker From Tennessee” Dasha shared a handwritten note with her fans saying:
“Hi guys! I get butterflies just thinking about this past year. It went by so quick, I feel like I blinked and then it was over. It still doesn’t even feel real. I’ve been dreaming about this shit since I was a little kid and it truly blows my mind that this is my life now. I’ve felt my highest highs ever that then got matched with my lowest, darkest times during all the madness. It’s crazy to have your wildest dreams coming true while getting so much hate and judgment spit at you from people you’ve never met. I won’t lie, the non-stop work schedule, running on fumes and caffeine, while still expected to be on was hard. It is hard. I got the darkest mentally I’ve ever been but stepping on stage and seeing all of your beautiful faces across the world this past summer and fall and hearing you scream the words to my songs recharged every battery in me. You make it so worth it, all the tears and anxiety, all nighters, every hard conversation that this damn song has brought me and my team in the past year…so worth it. You made it so worth it. My fans, my followers, my friends, I can’t even begin to express how grateful I am that you’re here on this journey with me. Still pinching myself that this is my life. To my fans: enjoy this small token of appreciation and know how much I love you. Y’all have been asking about this one – ‘Heartbreaker from Tennessee’ is yours tonight, at midnight EST. – Dash”
“Heartbreaker From Tennessee” hinges on an anxious palm-muted guitar riff and a smoky beat. Emotion practically overflows from confessional verses as Dasha’s soulful and spirited delivery takes hold. Wrestling with the regrets of a fling, she recounts her experience without pulling any punches, “I was 23 when I met the heartbreaker from Tennessee.” It culminates on an anthemic refrain uplifted by her skyscraper-size range.

66. PARISI – Rain
Source:Future House Music
Fast-rising Italian electronic duo, PARISI, have joined forces with Clementine Douglas on new single, “Rain”— listen HERE via FFRR/Major Recordings.
The latest in a series of club-busting singles to check their progress over the last 12 months, “Rain” features the vocals of in-demand breakout star, Clementine Doulgas — vocalist behind Sonny Fodera & MK’s 2023 anthem, “Asking,” and The Blessed Madonna’s recent UK Top 20 single, “Happier.” Written and produced in PARISI’s home studio in London, “Rain” is brooding, infectious, peak-time dancefloor fuel, bolstered by the mystique of Douglas’ eerie, half-distorted vocals.
Fresh off the back of recent tracks “High For This,” ‘Sacrifice” — a collaboration with Anyma (Matteo Milleri of Tale Of Us) — and “Lights Out,” “Rain” also follows early PARISI cuts “U Ok?,” a tour de force link-up with Swedish House Mafia’s Steve Angello & Sebastian Ingrosso, “Tease” ft. Jelani Blackman, and widescreen club epic, “Believe In Myself.”
The release of “Rain” also follows the launch of CASA PARISI at London’s Corsica Studios in July— an intimate, immersive club night experience that saw the duo play hybrid live/DJ in-crowd DJ sets alongside friends and special guests. The first two events quickly sold-out, with CASA PARISI heading to Milan on November 30th for its third installment — look out for more events to come in 2025.
Elsewhere in 2024, PARISI also transported their hybrid live/DJ show to Amnesia in support of Mathame in Ibiza, as well as the Afterlife closing party at Hï, and to Tofte Manor, where they played live alongside Sarah Story, TMPLE, Carlita & more at Norman Cook’s Fatboy Slim Presents all-dayer over the summer.
Looking further ahead, PARISI are set to support Anyma at The Sphere in Las Vegas on December 30th, before embarking on their first ever US headline tour throughout January and February — stay tuned for full listings and more information soon.
67. sombr – makes me want you
Source:sombr
Today, rising singer, songwriter and producer sombr serves up his emotionally charged new single “makes me want you” out now via Warner Records – listen HERE and watch HERE.
Handclaps set the tempo for the track as an airy loop circles the beat. Wrestling with unrequited love out loud, sombr’s vulnerable vocal transmissions echo like a choir over glitchy synths as he confesses, “You don’t care about me, and that makes me want you.” In between fits of fiery falsetto, he reaches an inflection point, “I want to be your lover, and I don’t want to suffer.” “makes me want you” is a departure for sombr. Known for his heart-wrenching ballads featuring a world of harmonies and slow to mid-tempo vibes, “makes me want you” sees sombr exploring electronic beats and synths while staying true to the emotional core of his body of work.
sombr has quietly taken flight as a phenomenon in 2024. His most recent single “do i ever cross your mind” has already reeled in 13 million-plus Spotify streams and 956K YouTube views on the official visualizer. Simultaneously, his audience has burgeoned to over 3.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify indicative of his growing buzz, with his single “would’ve been you” topping 45 million streams on Spotify alone.
This year, sombr has steadily shared fan favorite singles. He has generated millions of streams across “perfume,” “savior,” “in your arms,” and “i’ll remember tonight,” all while in the midst of his North American tour which made stops in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Toronto and many more.
On his live show, Atwood Magazine christened him “the rising indie prince of heartbreak,” and Off The Record Press raved, “Each song is sonically moving with his impeccable touch for composition, adding in soft notes of instruments when needed, such as piano and guitar.”
Surrounded by music since childhood, sombr has gleaned inspiration from his days at legendary New York City public performing arts school LaGuardia High, a fascination with classical music, and countless nights writing and recording out of a bedroom studio in his childhood home in the Lower East Side of New York City. He notably introduced himself with a series of independent fan favorite singles before breakout track “Caroline” cracked 38 million-plus streams on Spotify alone.
68. New Translations – Post Hang
Source:New Translations
Kicking off a bold creative chapter, buzzing Nashville alternative band New Translations (f/k/a Jive Talk) unveil a dreamy and dynamic single entitled “Post Hang” out now via War Buddha/Warner Records – listen HERE and watch the video HERE. It notably heralds the arrival of the group’s forthcoming full-length debut album, Vacation, out on February 14, 2025. Pre-order/Pre-save HERE.
About “Post Hang,” the band commented, “It’s the end of a long night shift at the bar you barback at. You’re exhausted, sitting on the hood of your car with your coworker that you’re kind of friends with but would never schedule a time to hang out, though you talk about hanging out every time you work together. You’re both splitting your last cigarette, discussing how you need a vacation, secretly wondering if this is what the rest of your lives will be like.”
On the track, soft keys glaze over sparse, dreamy guitar transmissions. Early on, a key lyric sets the scene in vivid fashion, “We could post hang in a parking lot, share a swig of something that I brought.” Gaining momentum, the smoldering drum beat gives way to a swell of distortion beneath the chantable chorus, “And I wanted to go out, but I just watched them go out.”
It arrives on the heels of “Voided Velvet” with Michigander. The latter has just started to pick up steam locally and at DSPS. It followed the band’s most recent anthem “Vacation” which landed in the wake of “Sally” and “Rat People.” This summer, the band hit the stage at Bonnaroo in Manchester, TN following a cross-country tour. WNSM Radio states, “I think they might be addictive. I’m ready to drop everything – and you should too -… If this is a cult, sign me up.”
69. Pecos & The Rooftops – Sweet Tumbleweed
Source:Pecos & The Rooftops
Platinum-certified rising Texas-based country rock sextet Pecos & The Rooftops reveal a pensive and powerful new single entitled “Sweet Tumbleweed,” available today. Click HERE to stream via Warner Records.
The track nods to their love of blending classic rock and country into their songcraft with its downright vivid storytelling and dynamic instrumentation. Plaintive piano cuts through acoustic guitar, and frontman Pecos Hurley draws listeners into the moment, “She leaves her boots out by the front door to let me know she needs a change of scene.” Grasping onto what’s left of the relationship before it slips away, his robust vocals take hold on the hook, “I don’t say goodbye when it comes time to let her go. I’ll catch you down the road sweet tumbleweed.”
Continuing a prolific run for the group, it arrives as the follow-up “Missing Peace.” The latter has already generated over 800 thousand streams. Listen HERE via Warner Records.
“Missing Peace” landed in the wake of “One Drunk Summer,” which notably marked the group’s first release since their self-titled debut album, Pecos & The Rooftops, in 2023. Right out of the gate, it amassed over 2 million total streams and counting. Right now, Pecos & The Rooftops are in the midst of a string of headline dates and festival appearances.
Last year, Pecos & The Rooftops accelerated their rise with the release of their debut LP. It houses signature staples such as “5AM,” “Hurt No More,” “Last Thing I Remember,” “Bricks,” and “She Says.” Beyond generating nearly a quarter-of-a-billion streams, it has earned critical applause. Music Connection chronicled their rise and highlighted how “the country rockers continued kicking up dust through touring and recording.” Holler. praised, “It’s a close-knit sense of camaraderie that shines through in their live shows.”
Pecos & The Rooftops have been perfecting a signature heavy blend of lowdown country and classic rock since their inception with the band living in a big five-bedroom house in Lubbock, Texas. Formed in 2019 by a tight- knit squad of college friends, the band outfits their soulful Americana with muscular guitar grit, yet remains tuneful and melodic. They’ve carved out a singular niche for themselves in the rich songwriting tradition of their home state, as evidenced by their debut Warner Records single “5AM,” which has amassed over 29 million global streams to date. Anchored by the heart-baring songwriting and booming voice of former Marine Pecos Hurley, the band is rounded out by top-tier players and songwriters Brandon Jones (rhythm guitar), Jessie Santos (lead guitar), Kalen Davis (bass), Garrett Peltier (drums) and Hunter Cassell (guitars & keys).
Pecos & The Rooftops chose their name—a nod to the part of the house they’d hang out, drink beers, and jam on—just before self-releasing their debut single, 2019’s slow-burning “This Damn Song.” It was a runaway success, earning an RIAA Platinum certification and going on to rack up more than 440 million streams globally. Deciding to ride the wave for as long as they could, the band hit the road immediately after and haven’t stopped since, touring relentlessly on the club and festival circuit opening for the likes of country star Koe Wetzel. They released the Red Eye EP in 2020, expanding on their already solid sound with extra emphasis on guitar structures and complex yet melodic arrangements, hinting at jazz and psychedelic influences.
Pecos & The Rooftops have earned a devoted fan base who’ve come out to support them both online and, on the road, with the band garnering over 680 million global streams to date and more than 170 million video views. They’re currently on a nationwide headline tour with more dates to be announced soon. “At the end of the day, I just want to help people with our music, honestly,” Hurley says. Pecos & the Rooftops are set to do that and much, much more.

Among many highlights, FROM ZERO features the new single “Two Faced.” On Wednesday, the band surprise-released the hard-hitting music video helmed by Hahn to accompany the song. Watch HERE. Holding nothing back, it reups the instantly recognizable elements of the band’s signature sound, tempering grainy distortion with chaotic turntable scratching, airtight rhymes, and a cathartic chorus. A gritty riff anchors the track as Shinoda deftly raps on the verses and Armstrong alternates between an arresting refrain and a jarring scream, “I can’t hear myself think.”
Elsewhere on the album, “Casualty” teems with unbridled aggression. A militant groove-laden guitar crunch seethes atop the breakneck-paced punk beat. Meanwhile, Shinoda and Armstrong lock into a fiery back-and-forth capped off by an unapologetic chant, “I won’t be your casualty.” Then, there’s “IGYEIH,” which hinges on the incendiary interplay of unpredictable instrumentation and undeniable vocals. The album concludes with a moment of stark honesty on “Good Things Go.” From the jump, Shinoda admits, “Feels like it’s rained in my head for a hundred days.” Awash in raw feeling, it crescendos towards one last epic exhale. Check out the full tracklisting below.

It made a rapid climb to #1 on both the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay Chart and Alternative Airplay Chart. In total, the band have scored a staggering 13 #1 entries on the latter chart (the second-most in history) with three in the last eighteen months. Thus far, “The Emptiness Machine” has gathered a quarter-of-a-billion global streams and counting. “Heavy Is The Crown” followed fast in the same path, and earlier this month the band delivered a scorching performance of the League of Legends Worlds anthem at the 2024 World Championship opening ceremony at the O2 Arena in London. The band set the final stage for FROM ZERO with the Emily-led “Over Each Other,” which Revolver christened “an emotional rocker.”
