Paramount Pictures shared the highly anticipated official trailer for the action adventure comedy film Sonic the Hedgehog 3 this week (August 27th). Click inside to check it out!

Sonic the Hedgehog returns to the big screen this holiday season in his most thrilling adventure yet. Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails reunite against a powerful new adversary, Shadow, a mysterious villain with powers unlike anything they have faced before. With their abilities outmatched in every way, Team Sonic must seek out an unlikely alliance in hopes of stopping Shadow and protecting the planet.

Director Jeff Fowler returns along with an all-star cast including Jim Carrey (In Living Color, The Mask, Liar Liar, Bruce Almighty), Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation, House of Lies), James Marsden (X-Men film series, Death at a Funeral, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues), Tika Sumpter (Ride Along, Ride Along 2, Nobody’s Fool), Idris Elba (The Wire, Luther, The Suicide Squad), Colleen O’Shaughnessey (Digimon, Danny Phantom, Naruto), Natasha Rothwell (Insecure, The White Lotus), Shemar Moore (The Young and the Restless, Criminal Minds, S.W.A.T.), Adam Pally (Happy Endings, The Mindy Project), Lee Majdoub. They will be joined by newcomers Alyla Browne (Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga), Krysten Ritter (Breaking Bad, Jessica Jones, El Camino), and Keanu Reeves (The Matrix film series, John Wick film series), joining the franchise as Shadow the Hedgehog.

The film was written by Pat Casey, Josh Miller and John Whittington from a story by Casey and Miller. Neal H. Moritz Toby Ascher, Toru Nakahara and Hitoshi Okuno produced served as producers on the film. Director Jeff Fowler also took on executive producer responsibilities alongside Haruki Satomi, Shuji Utsumi, Yukio Sugino, Tommy Gormley and Tim Miller.
