Sherri Shepherd had quite the night at the opening of Othello on Broadway, but according to the talk show host, she left the event with some “unfinished business” after an unexpected encounter with an unnamed actress, later revealed to be Nia Long. The latest and greatest is that the “Best Man” star is completely unbothered.

On a recent episode of Sherri, Shepherd shared all the juicy details of her glamorous evening, which started with excitement and ended with a bit of a mystery. Dressed to impress, she attended the highly anticipated Broadway revival, ready to soak in the powerful performances. But as always, the real magic happened offstage.

During the show, Shepherd was completely captivated by the performance, praising the cast for their incredible talent and storytelling. “It was just breathtaking,” she gushed. “The kind of performance that stays with you long after you leave the theater.”

However, the real story of the night unfolded after the curtain call. While mingling with fellow theatergoers, Shepherd had a run-in with a well-known female celebrity. Though she didn’t reveal the mystery woman’s identity, she did hint that their exchange left her feeling like there was unfinished business between them.

Shepherd claims she, “grabbed my arm and forcefully turned me around… and she says to me, ‘You’ve been shading me a lot.’”

She said she denied the disses, but the woman responded back, “Yes, you have!” Sherri said she was left “really mad.”

While Shepherd vaguely alluded to some “unfinished business” with an unnamed celebrity on her talk show, sources quickly confirmed to Page Six that the woman in question was actually actress Nia Long.

Long, known for her grace and effortless cool, has yet to comment directly on the situation. The only comment was a selfie posted shortly after the show to the actress’ personal Instagram to which she captioned, “About last night…”

Check out Nia’s post below:

Long seems to be focusing on her upcoming projects and spending time with her family. Meanwhile, social media has been buzzing with speculation about what exactly went down between the two women.

While Sherri might still be dissecting the exchange, Nia’s energy remains the same—focused, unbothered, and not here for the theatrics (unless it’s on screen).

If there’s one thing we’ve learned over the years, it’s that Nia Long doesn’t do mess. And this situation? It’s already a closed chapter in her book.
