Fans worldwide finally got their first look at Marvel’s first family this week (February 4th), as Marvel Studios released the teaser trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Continue reading to check it out!
Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Marvel’s First Family—Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm/Human Torch and Ben Grimm/The Thing as they face their most daunting challenge yet. Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer. If Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.
The cast members who play Marvel’s first family (Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach) were joined by a live audience at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, HOME of Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama. Here, they officially launched the film’s in inaugural trailer. Fans from around the world tuned in via a Marvel livestream to catch the big debut in real time with the Saturn 5 rocket serving as the backdrop. The lead characters commandeered the
countdown and launch surrounded by fans outside the National Geographic Theater. Angélique Roché hosted the event that also included a Q&A with the stars.
In addiiton to the core four, the film also stars Ralph Ineson, Julia Garner, Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne and Sarah Niles. The Fantastic Four: First Steps is directed by Matt Shakman, produced by Kevin Feige and executive produced by Louis D’Esposito, Grant Curtis and Tim Lewis.
