1. Cymarshall Law & Slimeline Mutha ft. Sadat X & Kafeeno – Broken Dreams (Remix)
Source:Cymarshall Law
Broken Dreams by Cymarshall Law & UK beatmaker Slimline Mutha is more than a hip-hop track, it’s a raw and powerful narrative brought vividly to life with emotional truth and lyrical sharpness. Featuring the legendary Sadat X (Brand Nubian) and soul-stirring vocals from Kafeeno, this cinematic new single is a centerpiece from Cymarshall’s highly anticipated album, The Peaceful Warrior 2: Raw Self-Expression, dropping June 13 via Freedom Entertainment, with distribution by Fat Beats (physical) and Soul Spazm (digital).
Slimline Mutha’s vivid, textured soundscapes create an immersive dynamic in “Broken Dreams.” It pairs glitchy electronics with the haunting shimmer of shattered glass. These elements come together to cultivate a wounded and hopeful vibe, a perfect metaphor for chasing dreams in a world built to break them.
Lyrically, Cymarshall Law delivers sharp, reflective bars that urge self-awareness and tenacity:
“Read the fine print before you accept defeat.”
These verses ring out as a manifesto for the dreamers navigating through disillusionment. Sadat X brings signature grit and wisdom, anchoring the song in hip-hop lineage, while Kafeeno’s velvety hook adds emotional depth and melodic richness.
The accompanying music video, filmed on Philadelphia’s iconic Rocky Steps, offers a potent visual metaphor. Each ascent up the stone staircase echoes the struggle and defiance of those who rise despite adversity.
“Every dream carries the weight of struggle, but broken dreams are not the end—they are the ashes from which resilience rises,” says Cymarshall. “This song is a testament to the warriors who refuse to surrender to the shadows.”
“Broken Dreams” follows a string of major moves for Cymarshall Law in 2025. He’s set to appear on Wu-Tang Clan affiliate Killah Priest’s podcast on May 18, and will hit the stage in the Tri-State area on May 31 to celebrate the release of a special Pumpkinhead tribute IPA, honoring the late battle rap icon. Looking ahead, Cymarshall joins a star-studded lineup at Rhyme Fest LA this August alongside The Alchemist, Dilated Peoples, DJ Quik, and more. Purchase your tickets HERE.

2. Max McNown – The Cost of Growing Up
Source:Max McNown
Today, Nashville-based singer-songwriter Max McNown released the sublime new single “The Cost of Growing Up” alongside a new album announcement. An expanded edition of his stunning sophomore album with 11 new tracks, Night Diving (The Cost of Growing Up) is slated for release on July 18 via Fugitive Recordings x The Orchard x Columbia Records. Available for pre-order on: Signed D2C Exclusive Clear Black Ice Colored Vinyl, Amazon Exclusive Opaque Maroon Colored Vinyl, Indie Exclusive Opaque Bone Colored Vinyl, Opaque Tangerine Colored Vinyl, and Standard CD.
Anchored in the charmingly warm vocal presence that McNown partly honed by busking at the beach in Southern California just a few years ago, Night Diving (The Cost of Growing Up) takes the latter half of its title from a gorgeously textured track that perfectly exemplifies his newly refined sound. With its rootsy and ethereal instrumentation—luminous steel guitar, lush mandolin, soulful organ—“The Cost of Growing Up” arrives as a clear-eyed but melancholy meditation on the inevitability of pain.
“To me, the cost of growing up is an acceptance that difficult things are going to happen—from minor inconveniences to devastating loss, it’s all a part of life,” says McNown. “But there’s also beauty in that because, without those hard moments, you wouldn’t be able to truly love.”
The new single is one of the 11 never-before-heard tracks featured in Night Diving (The Cost of Growing Up), the drastically expanded edition of his sophomore LP. “Even though Night Diving was the length of a full album, in my heart it never felt complete to me,” reveals McNown. “All of these songs were written in the same time period, and my intention was always to have them be one body of work.” The previously unreleased songs surfaced from a recent evolution of his mesmerizing sound, spotlighting an earthy tonality informed by his upbringing in the Pacific Northwest.
“Since my first EP I’ve been on the hunt to find myself as a musician, and with this album, I’ve officially made something that fully represents me, both sonically and in my songwriting,” he continues. Produced by Jamie Kenney (Colbie Caillat, Laci Kaye Booth) and made with an A-list lineup of session players, Night Diving (The Cost of Growing Up) ultimately provides an extraordinary vessel for his profoundly moving and soul-baring storytelling.
At 23, McNown has already been on a storied musical journey. Taking control of his future, overcoming personal challenges, and drawing inspiration from his brother who was bravely fighting cancer, McNown packed his bags and drove from remote Oregon to Southern California. From there, videos of him busking on a pier made an impact online and eventually grew into a legion of supporters on TikTok (currently has 2.3M followers). After attracting interest from major TV talent shows, McNown auditioned for one and then decided it wasn’t for him and gracefully turned them down as he knew he needed to walk his own path.
Within just a year of teaching himself to play guitar, the Nashville-based artist set off on a meteoric rise largely fueled by his breakout single “A Lot More Free”—a RIAA Gold-certified track whose explosive success includes peaking at #1 on the iTunes singles chart and earning him a #1 spot on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart. Following the release of his widely lauded debut album Wandering, the Willfully Blind EP, and his acclaimed sophomore album Night Diving, the 23-year-old Oregon native continued his fast ascent to stardom and made his TV performance debut with an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show earlier this year, in addition to selling out his first-ever headline tour within just hours. Named a 2025 Artist To Watch by Amazon Music, Holler, and Country Now, McNown now embarks on a thrilling new chapter with Night Diving (The Cost of Growing Up): a 21-song powerhouse that shows the complete depth of his artistry like never before.
3. Maxo – Donahoo’s Chicken
Source:smilemaxo
After returning last month to announce a new album, Maxo releases the second offering from Mars Is Electric today. “Donahoo’s Chicken” finds Maxo rapping with a rarely heard fervor from the often laid-back artist and was produced by Los Angeles-based musician Baird. “Donahoo’s” arrives with another unnerving music video directed by Vincent Haycock, further unveiling the surreal Mars Is Electric visual landscape that was first previewed with Maxo’s music video for the first single “Human?” along with the album trailer he released just last week.
Mars Is Electric is Maxo’s first official release since he dropped two critically acclaimed albums in 2023 with Even God Has A Sense of Humor and Debbie’s Son. His fifth full-length album finds the Southern Californian artist self-aware and mature. Having lived the last decade of his musical life intentionally creating specific bodies of work rooted in imagery, observation, and capturing moments, Maxo spent this previous year freely creating without a specific plan, relieved from all obligations and restrictions.
“This is the first time that I really didn’t care, I didn’t approach things so seriously,” the artist shrugs off, meaning that without expectations or specific goals, his creativity flourished. This opening finds the artist having conversations he’s been avoiding, having lived silently in the pain of those topics for the past few years. Exploring uncomfortable themes about personal life, relationships, and family fractures, life before and after the loss of innocence, and an abundance of existential spirals.
The exploration was not only thematic but also musical. During the creation process, Maxo was immersed in a wide array of music from past to present – France Joli, $amaad, Steve Spacek, Cherelle, DJ Quik, Lisha G – influences that seeped their way into these songs. The album opens in a loose, dreamlike state—experimental and searching, mirroring the emotional fog of someone looking for something real to hold onto. But as it progresses, so does Maxo’s energy as he fiercely rides and weaves on songs with a contagious confidence, producing some of his most kinetic and lyrically impressive music to date.
As the work and vision coalesced into a body of work, Maxo found that he was unlocking a creative language with his collaborators that felt wholly new – a new understanding of why and how he was making art for this world. What emerged from this year-long process was a new musical journey and a future where Maxo refuses to be another bad example of what could be, refusing to mind the blueprint set down.
Listen to “Donahoo’s Chicken” above, see full album details below, and stay tuned for more from Maxo very soon.
4. ROHAN – Fizzy
Source:ROHAN
Melbourne/San Francisco alt-pop artist & producer ROHAN reckons with a reckless love as it finally fizzles out on the pop-punk-infused “Fizzy” out today with its matching visualizer. On his latest break-up anthem, loud and uninhibited, the artist captures the good, the bad, the calm and the messy of a relationship meeting its dramatic end.
Blending pop-punk, alt-pop and R&B, “Fizzy” features drums by celebrated American drummer Thomas Pridgen (The Mars Volta, Lizzo, Thundercat), which came together during a late-night jam session in ROHAN’s Melbourne home studio. Reflecting on the track falling into place while working with Pridgen, the artist shares, “He landed on this drum groove that just snapped everything into place. I brought him into the studio to track the drums properly. His energy on it is wild—it brought the whole thing to life.” The track was partially engineered by Scott McDowell (Ty Segall, The Head And The Heart), mixed by Brian Cruz (Dominic Fike, Dua Lipa, Giveon) and mastered by John Greenham (Billie Eilish, Gracie Abrams, Lady Gaga).
With a nostalgic undertone, “Fizzy” brings ROHAN back to his roots. Speaking on the track’s influences, ROHAN says, “The guitars and bass really draw from my punk-pop influences; Green Day, Skegss, Beach Goons and Beach Bunny. Being away from my band in California, I wanted it to feel like I was back in rehearsal, just jamming and letting it bleed.”
Working with director Mark Kohr (Green Day, Shakira, Alanis Morissette) was a dream come true for ROHAN. The musician shares, “The concept was simple: Thomas and I jamming in a bar, surrounded by empty wine bottles—a nod to the fights, the highs, the overindulgence. The feeling that something’s about to combust.”
Last month, after receiving encouragement via TikTok from Beabadoobee, ROHAN shared the confessional “I Wish I Could Tell You” where he yearns for closure over a hooky guitar loop. Several tastemakers praised the track, including Unheard Gems, who wrote, “a refreshingly honest approach to bedroom pop..feels both familiar and uniquely his own.” Envi Media added, “Sepia toned distant love crooned from 2000s John Mayer, Gin Blossoms and 2020s keshi, and Dominic Fike.” On the visual, From The Intercom added, “The visuals match the raw sound of the song with cool tones and nostalgic cinematic views.” The track was added to Spotify’s Fresh Finds in Australia and New Zealand, and Apple Music’s heartache playlist.
ROHAN was raised by Indian parents between Australia and Singapore and was introduced to music through Australian Idol and Green Day’s American Idiot. After high school, he moved to California and attended Stanford to continue exploring his love for technology and music. Recently opening for Devon Again proved to be a cathartic moment as the pop artist was a shared love of ROHAN and his former love. Now, out of his own studio in San Francisco and pulling inspiration from Australian indie rock bands like Skeggs, 90s R&B like Lauryn Hill and contemporary pop artists like Dominic Fike, he’s ready to officially introduce himself with his own blend of Australian indie rock with R&B, electronic and folk influences that form his self-produced confessional alt-pop anthems. Earlier this year, ROHAN supported Chappell Roan’s favorite pop artist, Devon Again at her sold out San Francisco show.
Unfiltered and fiery, ROHAN faces a romance that has finally fizzled out on “Fizzy” out now. Connect with ROHAN on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube and stay tuned for much more to come from the rising artist.

Source:Jastin Martin

8. BabyDrill – Cry For Help
Source:BabyDrill
Today, breakout ATL rapper BabyDrill releases his new album Cry For Help via PDE Records/RCA Records – listen HERE. The 16-track album expands on BabyDrill’s signature sound alongside production by ATL Jacob, Coupe, Mike WiLL Made-It, Whatitdoflip, SHEKTHISYOURS, Kid Hazel, Javaun Mundle, PoisonThorn, Hariroc and Tru. Previous singles “Murk Sum” and “Me & My” were released with official videos in advance of the album dropping today – watch “Murk Sum” HERE and “Me & My” HERE.
To celebrate the album’s release last night, Drill took the popular streamer N3on on tour of Atlanta yesterday. Between a BBQ in his old neighborhood to Cascade to Magic City, the stream featured guest appearances from 21 Savage, Latto, Quavo, T.I., and even Bow Wow. Watch the full stream HERE.
BabyDrill initially garnered buzz in Atlanta with his 2022 breakout song “32 Freestyle.” The word started getting out locally, but BabyDrill couldn’t immediately reap the rewards. Soon after “32 Freestyle” dropped, Drill was arrested. His release on bond that same year was accompanied by his debut project, Drill Season, compiled mostly from older material, which balances big, brassy trap and blockbuster features (Latto, G Herbo) with softer melodic moments like “War Wounds.” For the next six months while on house arrest, Drill would spend nearly every waking moment at the studio. He claims he recorded 900 songs in that stretch, with the first result of that period being his MadMan album that was released in the summer of 2023, right after he beat the case and was cleared of all charges. With a new outlook and a buzzing rap career, BabyDrill released his project ScoreGod in 2024 which features production from heavyweights Coupe and ATL Jacob, while having feature guest spots from Luh Tyler on the title track “ScoreGod” along with YTB Fatt and Rob49 on “Check Ups.” With each release, Drill continues to level up and build a world for himself within the rap space.
Listen to BabyDrill’s new album Cry For Help out now via PDE Records/RCA Records.
9. Frankie and the Witch Fingers – Gutter Priestess
Source:Frankie & The Witch Fingers – Topic
Today, influential Los Angeles psychedelic punk rockers Frankie and the Witch Fingers have shared “Gutter Priestess,” the last single before the release of their new album Trash Classic (June 6, 2025 // The Reverberation Appreciation Society / Greenway Records). In lieu of a music video, the band partnered with FolksPat Media to release a fully-playable “Gutter Priestess” video game – try it HERE. The creators of the free-to-play browser game have also contributed to titles like Alien: Rogue Incursion, Creed: Rise to Glory VR, Dead by Daylight, Lord of the Rings: War in the North, and more.
“‘Gutter Priestess’ felt filthy from the get,” the band’s Dylan Sizemore says. “I was hooked up to Burroughs and his junk-sick energy, romanticizing my own bad decisions and dark thoughts, cutting up lyrics, letting meaning rearrange itself. The whole thing turned into a brown, sharded nightmare but with a seductive dancey pulse.
When we went to record it, everyone leaned into the crust. The parts feel barbed and sharp – like they crawled out of a drainpipe with glass in their gums. Hopefully the lighter synth lines in the chorus add a sugary sweetness to all the rot and decay.”
The white-hot demand to see the band live knows no bounds, and has since carried over to the intimate album release shows they announced in London, New York City, and Los Angeles – all three have sold out. See below for more information on these shows, as well as their other headline world tour dates.
Hooks so infectious they rot on impact. Trash Classic marks a feral mutation for Frankie and the Witch Fingers—a record that snarls with proto-punk venom, angular melodies, and electronic textures that cough and sputter like dying neon lights under a poisoned sky.
This record pushes the Witch Fingers’ sound to a razor’s edge. Wiry and twitching, it bends into synth-punk and fractured new wave, with fragments of industrial grime caked under its nails. Guitars detonate and slice like cinder blocks through glass, while gnashing basslines slither through the sludge, alive and seething. Buzzy synths take the forefront, driving relentless rhythms that crack and pop, drenched in a chemically saturated sheen—part bug-eyed speed-freak pogo, part dance-floor delirium. The vocals cut through like static-laced transmissions—balancing both smirk and sneer—layering playful unease over themes of escapism, decay, and overindulgence.
The songs were born in the grime of Vernon, Los Angeles—a wasteland littered with gutted RVs and rusting machinery, where the air tastes like asphalt and dog food. But the real alchemy happened in Oakland, at Tiny Telephone Studio, where producer Maryam Qudus (La Luz, Spacemoth) helped transmute the tracks into their final forms. Unhinged tones, unconventional recording experiments, and wild sonic detours transformed the songs into something alive and unpredictable.
Every day of recording began with cartoons blaring at full volume—a Looney Tunes ritual that turned the madness of the recording process into something child-like. Late at night, sugar-fueled candy binges kept the energy spiking, pushing the sessions into a fever dream of jittery, spastic playfulness.
The result is a raw, twisted monument to rot and excess—toxic glamour and nihilistic salvation. Trash Classic isn’t just a record; it’s an auditory dumpster bible—a gutter gospel for those ready to dive into its filth.
10. The Technicolors – Softcore
Source:The Technicolors
After announcing their new album Heavy Pulp last week, rock band The Technicolors today announce a string of album release shows in Los Angeles, their hometown of Phoenix, and New York City. Tickets for the three shows will go on sale Friday, May 23 at 10 am PST. Along with the touring news, they have released the official video for their newest single “Softcore.”
One of Heavy Pulp’s gentler moments, the official video for “Softcore” sees the band draped in the jewel tones of Oklahoma City venue Resonant Head. An isolated and moody performance, the video was directed by Jarod Evans and stars The Technicolors’ Brennan Smiley and BRONCHO’s Nathan Price who plays drums across the upcoming album. Sonically massive and brooding, Heavy Pulp will be released on August 29 via SoundOn — Watch the video for “Softcore” / Pre-save Heavy Pulp.
Following their last album Cinema Sublimina, The Technicolors needed a moment to take a breath. Spending over a decade out on the road and constantly trying to put out enough music to keep other people happy, the band decided to slow down in order to not cut important corners. During this period of “dormancy” the band’s catalog shot to new heights, priming them for their biggest chapter yet. After putting their heads down in a time where bedroom pop was being favored, the band got to work and now reemerges in a space where being a rock band feels viable again.
Writing Heavy Pulp over the last two years, The Technicolors wanted to physically be in the room with the creatives they were working with. The album was produced by GRAMMY-nominated Robert Adam Stevenson (Queens of the Stone Age, The Kills). Ahead of the August 29 release date, they have also released the heavily muddied “Posh Spice” along with an official video.
11. Poiison ft. Dono – Moody (Remix)
Source:Poiison
Queens-born genre-blending artist Poiison teams up with rising creative Dono to deliver the official video for “Moody (Remix)”, a raw and emotionally layered rework of her standout single. The track explores the quiet tension of modern love, blurred lines, distant goodbyes, and the quiet confidence that follows heartbreak.
The visual trades flash for feeling. Shot in dim light and slow motion, the video captures a mood that’s both cinematic and deeply personal. Set across late-night streets and stripped-back rooms, “Moody (Remix)” plays out like a memory you can’t shake. Poiison brings her signature emotional intensity, while Dono’s presence adds a haunting calm that grounds the piece.
This release follows Poiison’s critically praised EP Love, Money, Art, a project that positioned her as one of the most compelling new voices in alt-R&B and hip-hop. With “Moody (Remix)”, she opens a new chapter. Dono’s verse adds dimension and depth, creating a duet that feels more like a confrontation than a love song.
12. Amanda Reifer – RUDUMB?
Source:Amanda Reifer
2x GRAMMY® Award-nominated artist Amanda Reifer has shared the official music video for “RUDUMB?”. Directed by award-winning filmmaker Taj Stansbury (Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez), the mesmerizing new visual captures the track’s unstoppable kinetic energy with a vivacious rush of colors and textures born of Reifer’s proud Bajan Pisces heritage. Reifer’s first-ever collaboration with the 13x GRAMMY® Award-winning Pharrell, the track marks the latest single from the Barbados-born artist’s massively anticipated debut solo album, The Reifer Files, due later this year. With its slick bass thump and instantly recognizable drums, “RUDUMB?” sees Reifer expertly slipping into a classic Pharrell groove, taking charge without apology and bossing up the instantly infectious banger with her confidant cadence and fiery power.
Recently named by Complex as one of ”15 R&B Artists To Watch in 2025” and a “Caribbean R&B Artist of the Year” nominee at the 2025 Caribbean Music Awards, Amanda Reifer continues to break new creative ground with her constantly evolving body of work. “RUDUMB?” furthers the groundbreaking artist’s dramatic rise, building anticipation for the long awaited arrival of The Reifer Files, a vibrant portrait of an artist, creative, lover, and uncontainable spirit projected through a singular palette of musical moods, vibes, and storytelling.
13. AKIA – Pajamas
Source:AKIA
Rising R&B artist AKIA sets the stage for her next chapter with “Pajamas,” a sultry, self-assured new single from her forthcoming EP Crazy, arriving later this summer via SinceThe80s and Human Re Sources. Carried by rich vocals and smooth, unbothered production, the track finds AKIA fully in her element — unforced, magnetic, and in control.
“Pajamas” captures a mood of quiet confidence and intimacy, offering a glimpse into the more nuanced sound and perspective shaping her upcoming project. As with her previous releases, the strength lies in AKIA’s ability to say more with less — her voice and presence doing most of the talking.
The new single follows the breakout success of “DND,” released on March 14, which has already amassed over a million streams across platforms. The track earned AKIA placements on top editorial playlists like R&B Now, Grown N Sexy, Mood., Pillow Talk, Breaking R&B, Tearjerkers, and Fresh Finds R&B, firmly establishing her as a breakout voice in the genre.
Her debut EP DUMB introduced listeners to her emotionally layered songwriting and standout vocal presence. With Crazy, she builds on that momentum, bringing a sharper, more evolved perspective to her storytelling.
14. LeoStayTrill – Home Alone
Source:LeoStayTrill
LeoStayTrill shares his debut EP Home Alone” with Dave and Ed Sheeran co-signs and staggering stats under his belt, the sky’s the limit for the 18 year old South Londoner. Taking inspiration from all over the world, Leo aims to make music that appeals to his global fanbase while also staying true to his own musical interests. With staccato delivery and melodic prowess, Leo makes music to be enjoyed and danced to but underpinning all his work is an undeniable talent and unshakable self-belief. The new single “On Me” is an earworm that sees Leo explore focusing on melodies while still incorporating clever lyricism.
Leo explains the thought behind his debut: ”The title Home Alone really captures the spirit of how this project came together. For the past year and a half, every time someone called or checked in on me, I was literally just home alone recording, writing, creating. It became this pattern where I was consistently isolating myself from the world to focus on my craft, and ironically, that solitude ended up being the most successful period for me musically.
We also leaned into the movie Home Alone for creative inspiration both visually and thematically. There’s this idea in the film of being underestimated, of having to rely on yourself, and making the most of a situation you didn’t expect to be in. That resonated a lot with my journey as an artist. People often try to box me into a specific sound or genre, but this EP is me showing that I can adapt and deliver on all fronts. My ability goes way beyond what people may have heard from me before. I wanted to prove that I can’t be pinned down or limited musically, I can really do it all.
I started working on Home Alone back in August of last year, so it’s been a journey of patience, experimentation, and growth. More than anything, I hope listeners walk away realizing that there’s depth and range to what I do, and this is just the beginning.”
Home Alone follows on from “Hands on Knees” featuring Drill superstar K-Trap. Which racked up over 6m views on the teasers and thousands of video creations. Fresh off a showstopping performance at Our Homecoming fest in Nigeria & breaking 2m followers across IG & Tik Tok, Leo is going from strength to strength. On June 14th, 15th & 16th, Leo will be performing in Manchester, Birmingham and London respectively for his sold-out Home Alone tour.
It’s been an exciting 16 months for the Bromley born rapper. ‘Honeybun’, his second ever single released at the end of 2023, has accumulated an impressive 6M+ streams to date. It’s self-assured and winking in its wordplay and refreshing in its syncopated, metallic production. In the course of two minutes, Leo seamlessly flies through an entire catalogue of flows. ‘Pink Lemonade’ was the unsuspecting freestyle that became his most inescapably viral hit yet dominating social media for the entire summer and leapfrogging him into a truly global breakthrough.
A 2x MOBO Award nominee (Best Newcomer & Song Of The Year) and fresh from performing at the famed award show with DJ AG & Pozer, Leo’s debut EP is the clear next step to cement his spot as 2025’s most exciting One To Watch.
Late last year, Leo took the stage for his first ever sold-out headline show at The Camden Assembly, where he wowed fans and brought out ArrDee and Tion Wayne. With over 100m streams on Spotify alone and an Asake O2 Arena support slot under his belt, Leo’s proving to be a force to be reckoned with.
15. Joey Purp & Thelonious Martin – Make The Lakers
Source:Joey Purp
Two of Chicago’s most dynamic forces—Joey Purp and Thelonious Martin—have reunited for a brand-new collaborative project titled Champagne Seats, which will be released on 6.6.25. Today, the duo officially announced their project with a new single, “Make The Lakers,” which is now available.
Longtime friends, frequent collaborators and Savemoney Collective members, Purp and Martin first connected on the critically acclaimed iiiDrops mixtape in 2016, where Martin produced three standout tracks. Their creative chemistry continued on Purp’s 2018 debut album Quarterthing, with Martin again contributing production, on a record that featured appearances from RZA and GZA. Both projects landed on numerous year-end “Best Rap Albums” lists, establishing the duo as key voices in Chicago’s ever-evolving hip-hop landscape.
Now, Champagne Seats finds the two artists picking up right where they left off. Blending Purp’s introspective, no-frills lyricism with Thelonious Martin’s progressive beats, the project presents a cultivated sound steeped in growth, experimentation, and the spirit of collaboration.

Joe Leone shares about the single: “The song ‘Where Have You Been’ is about finding the kind of love that’s so perfect you feel pissed off that you ever tried loving someone else. It’s about finding a true partner in crime, one you wish had been around your whole life – that last puzzle piece kind of love.”
The single follows his previous release, “Discipline” – which was written in collaboration with Felly The Voice (Usher, Chris Brown, 112) and produced by DJ Camper (Brandy, H.E.R., Coco Jones) – and recent performances on the ‘October Nights: Calling All Lovers’ tour alongside GRAMMY-nominated artists October London, Tamar Braxton, and Ro James.

20. YFN Lucci – Jan. 31st (My Truth)
Source:YFN Lucci
After a four-year hiatus and incarceration, Billboard charter and Think It’s A Game powerhouse YFN Lucci makes one of the most eagerly anticipated returns to hip-hop in recent years with his new single, “Jan. 31st (My Truth).” The track delivers the emotional authenticity fans have loved and craved—a compelling, vulnerable track that stays true to his formula of speaking straight from the heart. The lyrics and hook stand as powerful testimony to his first thoughts and feelings as a free man after time served towards his sentence, while the carefully chosen artwork showcases what matters most: his children, his world. Since returning, Lucci has maintained laser focus, diving headfirst back into fatherhood while pouring himself into his art and community, committed to personal growth daily. His trademark singing-rapping fusion remains intact, but this first single since his release unveils a new chapter where vulnerability reigns supreme—no matter how uncomfortable the truth.
Outside the studio, it’s back to business as usual for Lucci, whose commitment to philanthropy runs as deep as his musical roots. While he’s always invested in the city that shaped him, 2025 marks the first year he’s been able to participate physically rather than just monetarily. This April, the multi-platinum recording artist hosted the 2nd Annual Golden Bunny Bash creating unforgettable memories for over 650 children and their families during Easter. Earlier this month, he honored the educators and staff at his alma mater, Maynard Jackson Holbrook High School, with a special Teacher Appreciation Week celebration recognizing all 186 teachers and staff members—giving back to those who helped shape his journey.

He continues to pepper timeless dancehall rhythms with a fresh flavor of his own.

“Mute” also drops on the heels of “Whites (Remix)” featuring French Montana. The latter has surged on DSPs, amassing north of 2.3 million YouTube views on the music video. Inciting tastemaker applause, VIBE plugged the song, and Kaboom Magazine spotlighted it as “another massive remix.” Meanwhile, Urban Islandz affirmed, “Masicka has been having an impressive run in dancehall over the past few years.”
Back in 2023, he unveiled Generation of Kings powered by fan favorites “Tyrant,” “LimeLight,” “Wet” [feat. Fridayy], and more. Beyond posting up tens of millions of streams and views, he received widespread acclaim. Billboard applauded how “Equally introspective and biting, Masicka’s lyrics — which explore everything from settling beef to reflections on his childhood — perfectly complement his penchant for lush melodic lines and reverb-drenched harmonies.” DANCEHALLMAG proclaimed, “it becomes easy to see why Masicka reiterates his given position as a young legend in Dancehall.” TIDAL attested, “Masicka wants the world to know he stands ready to safeguard its history and keep the real culture alive.”
Masicka continues to make waves. He received a YouTube Award for attracting over 1 million subscribers to his channel and over 580 million YouTube views. His most recent independent LP, 438, became “Jamaica’s #1 album of 2022 on Spotify” and “the first project to spend an entire year in the Top 10 on Apple Music Jamaica.” He emerged as “one of three Jamaican artists in Spotify Wrapped Jamaica for a Top 10 Album.” Along the way, KAZI hailed him as “a great storyteller and a genuinely generational talent who understands what he is doing,” and GRUNGECAKE assured, “Jamaica’s Masicka is holding us down on the positivity front.”
22. Ana Luna – Dance In A Trance
Source:Ana Luna
Emerging singer and songwriter Ana Luna unveils her new single “Dance in a Trance,” an ethereal and introspective track that dives deep into the emotional aftershocks of a past relationship. Building on the momentum of earlier releases like “Oxytocin” and “Why Not,” the new single further showcases Ana’s eclectic, genre-blurring sound and distinctive artistic voice.
Guided by her hypnotic vocals and sweeping, cinematic production, “Dance in a Trance” explores how memory and identity shift in the aftermath of heartbreak. Through introspective lyrics like “a caged romance, I danced in a trance,” Ana captures the paradox of being trapped in something intense, even beautiful, that ultimately left both people feeling confined. It’s more than a breakup song; it’s an unflinching meditation on transformation, memory, and the quiet unraveling that often follows the end of a relationship.
“People will interpret my songs however they want, but this one wasn’t about making anyone the bad guy—it was very much about me,” she says. “I’d run into my ex and he wouldn’t even look at me. When we did lock eyes, the energy just felt… different. The line ‘a caged romance’ came from something he once said to a friend of ours about feeling ‘caged’ or trapped, which ironically, is how I felt too. It wasn’t toxic in the way we tend to define toxic now—but maybe it was in its own way, just because of how intense it all was. This song lives in that duality of: either you’ve always been this person and I was blind, or remind me why I loved you so I don’t feel like an idiot.”
Born in Ukraine, raised in Paris, and now based in Los Angeles, Ana Luna is a natural-born storyteller whose music is as cinematic as it is emotionally raw. Though she’s always known she was destined to be an artist, Ana initially led with acting and kept her songwriting close to the chest. It wasn’t until college, after years of emotional growth and inner work, that she finally gave herself permission to stop overthinking and dive fully into music. Over time, she’s shaped a signature sound that moves effortlessly between dream pop, alt-rock, and moody ballads, creating songs that feel celestial, sultry, and reflective.
Ana approaches music as a form of therapy and storytelling, using it to process wounds, examine behavior, and carve out space for healing. Her songs explore the complex emotional layers beneath the surface, asking where our feelings come from, what they reveal, and how they shape the way we see the world. As she readies her debut album, Ana Luna is channeling her voice into songs that invite connection, introspection, and healing.

28. Sports Team – Boys These Days
Source:Sports Team
Today, UK’s best guitar band, Sports Team released their third studio album, Boys These Days. A witty and insightful examination of modern life, exploring the dissonance of our social media feeds that unleash an endless cycle upon us. One of porn, tragedy, war, violence, sex, money, inspirational quotes. No narrative. No unifying myth. Just “the churn” as Sports Team term it.
The album also marks a major sonic shift for the renowned British band, amalgamating raucous indie rock, Brit pop, with disparate inspiration from the glossy 80s studio pop of Roxy Music, Elvis Costello and Prefab Sprout. The band share their innate ability to blend seemingly contradictory imagery and musical elements to create unique worlds that insightfully refracted our times.
Sports Team made a name for themselves in the US for all the wrong reasons in 2024 when they were robbed at gunpoint 15 mins into their headline tour. This will be a long distant memory for this rising indie-rock band, who also announced they will return to the US in September 2025 for their biggest US tour yet, opening for Brit pop icons, Supergrass with dates including Los Angeles’s The Palladium on Sep 5 and New York City’s Pier 17.
On the title track, Sports Team stated, “Boys these Day is Supergrass’ Alright if it was written by Ricard Littlejohn: “We are old, we are trapped, dentistry is a woke mind virus.” Ultimately it’s a song about the weaponisation of nostalgia, sung from the perspective of a self-pitying bigot. There’s this endless generational conflict between baby boomers who see themselves as stoic, hard-working and thrifty, and the feckless young with their creamy coffees and ungodly electronic cigarettes. I feel like that chorus line, “boys these days look like girls” could be taken from almost any generations’s equivalent of the Daily Mail. Beatles fans with bowl-cuts (“boys these days look like girls”). Hippies (“boys these days look like girls”). David Beckham (“boys these days look like girls”). Just Stop Oil. Etc. Etc. Etc. You can imagine some pub-bore in ancient Golgotha whipping it out at the crucifixion.”
Alex Rice, Oli Dewdney, Al Greenwood, Rob Knaggs, Ben Mack, and Henry Young, recorded Boys These Days with producer Matias Tellez (Girl In Red, CMAT, Gracie Abrams) in his Bergen Norwegian studio. They spent an extensive period working on the album. The band thrived with a day time recording schedule and outdoor subzero hiking exhibitions which nearly ended in disaster.
Sports Team tested out countless ideas including sci-fi-tinged tracks, City Pop experiments and even a divisive electro-clash direction that didn’t make the cut. What prevailed was a singular sound featuring dissonant studio effects, extravagant horn use, anchored by a bright core of pop hooks and sing-along choruses that will propel Sports Team to even bigger heights.
Sports Team have already landed Mercury Prize nominations and a chart success, beating out Lady Gaga to the number 1 spot in the UK . Their innovative and provocative indie rock landed them critical acclaim; meanwhile, they quickly built a reputation through viral moments like warring with The 1975 and cultivating an active WhatsApp fan group–which grew into a massive live following and a predominantly young fanbase. But like all great bands, they did not rest on their laurels and sought sonic exploration outside of their comfort zones and showcased on their new album.
Car-obsessed glossy art-rocker “I’m In Love (Subaru),” was praised by Brooklyn Vegan “as recalling “’80s era’s sultriest, saxxiest songs.” ‘Bang Bang Bang,’ “sounds like something that could be featured on the soundtrack of an edgy neo-Western film,” according to American Songwriter. Most recent single “Sensible” which AVCLUB described as “Classic Brit-pop anthem with a snarky twist,” which according to Stereogum was snark squarely aimed at band nemesis, Fred Again. The album is a dramatic shift in gears in their songwriting and showcasing the band at their brightest and most beguiling yet.
Sports Team has always been quintessentially British. A quality Americans have ultimately embraced due to the band’s deft ability to satirically poke fun at their dull, suburban English childhoods with universal appeal. Still packed with hyper-specific references, some very British (have you heard the theme tune to Coronation Street?), or addressing their disdain for the British older generations’ reflections of modern youth with measured admiration. The band’s purview also now offers commentary on disparate memories and moments in the global consciousness, and many specific to America. What’s more American than Bill Clinton’s sax and sex skills, explored on opening single “I’m In Love (Subaru).” Elsewhere their lyrics reflect on everything from the Beckham dynasty, and more abstract thoughts about cultural clash, the want for family, the questioning of love, Kerouac-esque loners.
By allowing themselves to write about what they saw every day, Sports Team ended up with a group of tracks that offer us poignant reflections on the daily mayhem around them. Whilst somehow holding onto the wistful teenage memory of what adult life really should be like. Also, much like their Brit pop forebears they have reframed our modern era whilst sounding dangerous and glamorous. Making them one of the most thoughtful bands in music today and a serious force to be reckoned with on the global stage.
29. KARABA – Surfacing
Source:KARABA
French-Congolese producer/DJ KARABA has unveiled her latest single ‘Surfacing’ out now via ONErpm. The single serves as the third off her Tides EP, following ‘Siren’ and ‘Dark Waters’.
‘Surfacing’ is an uplifting tide in KARABA’s forthcoming five-part journey, embracing the emotive and allegorical themes of the project to develop another layer of sonic storytelling. The track is embedded with textured oceanic samples that provide an immersive balance to the rhythmic drum patterns and ethereal vocal chants drawn from KARABA’s Afro house signature. The result is a deeply meditative and transcendent listening experience that captures both the physical and spiritual essence of emergence that will conclude the upcoming Tides EP.
“‘Surfacing’ is the final single of my EP, where everything comes together. After the tension and high energy of the journey, it feels like a moment of rebirth and arrival—floating above the water, chanting, and embracing the calm after the storm. It’s the sense of finally reaching the destination.” – KARABA
Set for release on June 13, Tides is KARABA’s third EP and her most personal to-date. Weaving together themes of identity, transformation, and fluidity, the five-track project is both a sonic evolution and a statement of intent from one of Afro house’s most compelling voices.
French-born, Quebec-raised female producer/DJ KARABA is redefining the sound of the underground. Formerly a professional dancer who toured with Drake, Camilla Cabello, Selena Gomez, and Chris Brown, KARABA’s approach is influenced by her unique understanding of movement and culture. Looking for a career shift, she seamlessly translated her lust for rhythm and dance to the decks, and amassed a cult following in the process.
KARABA’s music flaunts the authentic sound and spirit of Afro house while incorporating the global inspirations that have followed KARABA throughout her many relocations. Having earned her first Juno Award nomination in 2024 for ‘Underground Dance Single of the Year’ with her breakout hit ‘Mad Mess’ and recent cover of Spotify’s Fresh Finds Canada with ‘Dark Waters’, KARABA is on the precipice of altering the Afro house landscape.
Ahead of the EP’s full release on June 13, KARABA will perform at California’s Lightning in a Bottle and France’s AFRODOM festivals, continuing her ascent as a global sensation.
Stream KARABA’s new single ‘Surfacing’ available now on all platforms and pre-save her upcoming Tides EP.
30. tesh – CYCLES + REPETITIONS
Source:Tesh – Topic
Breakout electronic artist tesh has been on a hot streak leading up to his highly anticipated debut EP, CYCLES + REPETITIONS, out today via San Holo’s bitbird imprint.
The EP’s leading singles have earned praise from Billboard, as well as key placements on Spotify’s All New Dance, Soundcloud’s Level Up, and even the cover of Amazon Music’s Breakthrough Electronic playlist.
With the release of CYCLES + REPETITIONS, tesh blurs the lines between UK garage, house, and techno in a narrative-driven project that reflects the cycles we find ourselves trapped in, both personally and as a society. Set within Oroboro—a fictional dystopian metropolis inspired by London, NYC, and LA—the EP follows its protagonist through a journey of love, loss, addiction, and existential decay.
Across seven tracks, tesh masterfully intertwines club-ready production with deep introspection, moving from the shadowy, garage-infused lament of APOLOGIES to the hypnotic techno-trance pulse of GO. ALL MY LIFE serves as the project’s introspective core, grappling with ambition’s cyclical nature, while CAN’T GET ENOUGH dives into addiction’s relentless pull through a fusion of industrial techno and UK garage.
“APOLOGIES is my way of paying homage to the new wave of UKG/2-step, while showcasing some fresh production styles. I used that iconic vocal sample but gave it a darker twist. The track is kept simple, with not too much going on, as I really wanted the strong drum kit and booming bass to shine through. Emotionally, it’s a reflection of my own struggles with communication, especially in relationships. The end of the track is meant to be that moment of reflection and clarity.” – tesh
CYCLES + REPETITIONS is both an exciting debut and a defining moment in tesh’s artistic evolution, offering a glimpse into his ability to blend genres while creating a cohesive and thought-provoking experience.

True to its name, THE ART OF BEING A MESS captures the emotional rollercoaster Spencer Smith experienced while writing her second album. Each song taps into a feeling—anger, devastation, love, peace, confusion and everything in between, sometimes all at once. Reflecting on the chaos of being human, each song finds Spencer Smith revisiting real stories and experiences in her life. With this album, she reminds listeners to embrace and feel comfortable in their emotions, that not everything is black-and-white.
“THE ART OF BEING A MESS is about embracing the highs and lows, the chaos and the beauty in feeling everything, no matter what the emotion is,” Spencer Smith explains, “Life gets messy, and it’s okay to be angry, sad, confused—or even unsure of what you’re feeling at all. I want this album to feel like a guidebook, helping you understand your own emotions and feeling okay to embrace the journey they take you on.”
THE ART OF BEING A MESS follows her debut album, Mirror (2023), which features the RIAA Certified Platinum singles “Flowers” and “Fingers Crossed”—the latter of which peaked at #19 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has reached over 875 million global streams.
From a small town on Vancouver Island, Spencer Smith began her musical journey in 2019, gaining a sizeable audience online. Through her music, she explored breakups, complex feelings about school, family and friends. Spencer Smith has performed at the MTV Video Music Awards, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and the People’s Choice Awards—where she was also a Best New Artist nominee.
33. Rich Brian ft. Ski Mask The Slump God – Jumpy
Source:Rich Brian
Rich Brian and Ski Mask The Slump God unite on new single “Jumpy,” the third single from Brian’s highly anticipated forthcoming album WHERE IS MY HEAD?, which is now slated for release on August 15th. The collaboration is a long-awaited one that marks a full circle moment for the two artists, as they initially met and formed a relationship at Rolling Loud Miami in 2017 – on Rich Brian’s first day in the US. After years of working towards a collaboration, they’ve realized it with “Jumpy.” The song arrives ahead of Rich Brian’s first North American performance in years, which will take place next week when he performs as a headliner at Head In The Clouds’ LA festival alongside superstars like G-Dragon, 2NE1, DPR Ian, Dean, Higher Brothers, Porter Robinson and more. Fans can expect Brian to debut yet-unreleased music from WHERE IS MY HEAD? as part of his Head In The Clouds performance.
On the new heavy-hitting track, Brian puts on a lyrical showcase as he reflects on his rise to the global stage. “Jumpy” marks a sharp contrast to the previously-released WHERE IS MY HEAD? singles “My Little Ray of Light“ and “Butterfly.” The self-produced song showcases a new side of the project while flexing his dexterous lyrical and production capabilities. Alongside Ski, the two deliver a relentless performance paired with a cinematic visualizer directed by Jared Hogan, which further illustrates the surreal world introduced in his two most recent music videos.
These three singles mark a bold transformation to one of the brightest-burning stars of the 2010s – the product of someone who was ubiquitous for nearly 6 years, only to go quiet for the last 3. WHERE IS MY HEAD?, Rich Brian’s first full-length album since 2019, the Indonesian-born artist redefines and staggeringly coheres his vision. He asks: “How can I continue to make music that I love more than anything else?” On WHERE IS MY HEAD? Rich Brian answers that question on each and every track, showcasing his hands-on creative control and evolution as both an artist and producer.
Listen to “Jumpy” feat. Ski Mask The Slump God above now and stay tuned for more from Rich Brian soon.

Perfect Storm is home to “Giannis (Remix),” a new version of Hurricane’s 2024 breakout hit with a guest verse from Polo G. The remix has over 1 million streams across platforms, and came hot on the heels of “Salute” (2.7 million video views), his collab with fellow North Florida rapper Loe Shimmy. 35. Jehry Robinson – Good By Now
Source:Strange Music Inc
Strange Music artist Jehry Robinson is back with a powerful new single, “Good By Now,” out today on all major streaming platforms. Known for blending emotionally charged lyrics with innovative, boundary-pushing production, Robinson continues the evolution of his genre-bending sound. Stream it at your favorite platform: https://lnk.to/GoodByNow
“Good By Now” is a fusion of alternative-rock, and singer-songwriter melodic storytelling, tackling themes of self-reflection, growth, and the bittersweet weight of moving on. With raw honesty and compelling vocal delivery, the track is destined to strike a chord with listeners navigating their own personal crossroads.
Robinson shares, “This song is really about that moment when you realize that love alone isn’t enough if the other person isn’t willing to grow. It’s a powerful reminder that self-love is just as important as romantic love. We all allow ourselves to be let down by the ones we love by setting too many unrealistic expectations of them. We expect them to be all “good” by a certain time. Unfortunately, it’s not that simple. I think the message will resonate with a lot of people and hopefully help them feel seen.”
This latest release builds on the momentum of his summer of 2024 song release “Pilot,” which was accompanied by a striking visual and praised for its cinematic vibe and lyrical vulnerability. “Good By Now” pushes that narrative further, giving listeners another glimpse into Robinson’s artistic soul while continuing to challenge genre boundaries.
His discography reflects his versatility and continuing growth as an artist. Notable releases include his debut album under Strange Music, 20/Twenty, featuring the collaboration “Daddy Issues” with Jelly Roll (2020). The Name Is Not Important (2021) an introspective project that delves into personal themes and highlights his lyrical prowess and Drink More Water (2023) an explosive genre-jumping album. His previous releases have garnered critical acclaim, with Folk N Rock saying, “Jehry Robinson’s ability to effortlessly fuse melodic elements with his unique style speaks volumes about his talent and versatility,” and V13 sharing, “We love to categorize music and musicians, but what do you do when you come across one who defies all categorization? Enter Jehry Robinson.”
Meanwhile, he’s captivated audiences and toured extensively alongside everyone from chart-dominating superstar Jelly Roll, Tech N9ne, Rittz, and Joey Cool, further solidifying his presence in the live music scene.

Two songs from the album are released as digital singles today: Track 1 is “Lawdy Rolla,” which was originally by an obscure French studio band called The Guerrillas, who featured African jazz star Manu Dibango in their ranks. A video for “Lawdy Rolla” will be released later this month, listen to the track and watch the visualizer HERE. The second track, and arguably one of the most familiar on the album, is Brian Protheroe’s beautiful 1974 hit “Pinball,” reimagined here with a hauntingly evocative saxophone contribution from Weller band memberJacko Peake.
Find El Dorado will be available in the following formats: Double black 180g vinyl LP. D2C exclusive Coke Bottle Green double vinyl LP. Amazon exclusive double black vinyl with alternative artwork. CD and digital album available from all DSP’s.

This is Dasha like you’ve never heard her before!
In a superstar-making turn of events, she recently lit up the Mane Stage at Stagecoach Festival, receiving unanimous acclaim and making headlines in the process. Blown away, GLAMOUR declared, “Her childlike excitement was contagious, the ecstasy of a performer finding her audience, and the crowd roared.” Echoing this enthusiasm, PAPER proclaimed, “The rising country star made a big splash at Stagecoach,” going on to affirm, “Like previous performances, Dasha and her dancers captivated the audience of old and new fans alike.” Beyond recent interviews with Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, People, and more, she spoke to Billboard about the performance on the ACM Awards red carpet.

40. Kanii – skin
Source:Kanii
Today, D.C. alt-pop provocateur Kanii kickstarts a new era with his propulsive new single “skin.” Listen HERE via Warner Records. On the indie-tinged cut, fuzzy synths and guitars create a striking backdrop for vulnerable lyrics that emit a deep sense of longing. That bittersweet tone is reflected in a blurry-eyed video that finds the singer, songwriter, and artist sorting through the aftermath of a rager. Watch HERE.
“skin” carves out new sonic territory for Kanii, but whether he’s exploring R&B, club beats, or something closer to pop punk, his songs remain youthful, restless, and undeniably catchy. Over driving percussion and vibrant chords, he lets loose the emotional poetry that’s become his trademark: “Do you feel my veins and arteries? The shortness in my lungs when you’re in my skin? / The blood it flows inside of me, your heart is just enough when you’re in my skin.”
The full extent of Kanii’s vision comes across in the “skin” video, which opens on him dozing on the floor of a cozy room, flashing back to the night before. In the same space, we see teens jumping on furniture, shooting silly string and bubble guns, and dancing with abandon. Other moments are more hallucinatory, with the kids faded or fading in a parked car while he sings, or Kanii and a friendly dalmatian exploring a field full of flowers. It all feels like a fever dream.
Kanii kicked off 2024 with “hate me” featuring wolfacejoeyy and The Heart Racers EP, a joint project with Riovaz and Nimstarr, that includes the retro-leaning singles “tell me” and “lost without you.” His swelling discography also boasts streaming hits like “nightcrawler,” “it was nice knowing u,” and “pretty photos.” His ascent first began in 2023 with the RIAA Gold-certified earworm “I Know,” which cracked the Billboard Hot 100.
The result of his sonic explorations is a global streaming tally that amasses nearly one billion streams. Now, with “skin,” the stage is set for an ambitious new phase that demonstrates the full scope of Kanii’s ever-evolving artistry.
