1. Errol Holden – Evelyn & North
Source:Errol Holden
Today, Roc Nation announced the forthcoming release of Supreme Magnetic, along with the project’s first single & video, “Evelyn & North” by rising New York MC, Errol Holden.
When we say rising MC, don’t take our word for it. Cam’ron says “the best lyricists are from Harlem, go argue with your Mother,” as he has tapped Errol to be the first featured artist for his new Freestyle Friday’s platform; which will premiere on 1.24.25.
Previously aligned with Nas’ Mass Appeal imprint, Errol has now signed a distribution deal with Roc Nation and is also now affiliated with Roc Marciano’s PIMPIRE International imprint. “Errol is something special; he is bringing game to the game” Roc Marciano shares. “Shit is inspirational”!
Errol has a very active 2025 lined up, including three full projects; starting with Supreme Magnetic on 2.25.25. Errol will follow up his debut Roc Nation project with the sequel project, Joe Frog 2, and will close out 2025 with 615 W 150 Street.
You can now stream and watch the video for Errol’s new single “Evelyn & North,” which is now available at all DSP’s.
“Nobody knew my real name until I started rapping,” shares Errol Holden. Now, the emerging New York City artist is making an impression with his identity. After years of hustling on rooftops and navigating the badlands of his concrete and steel universe, Errol creates art that shares vivid imagery and grim humanity.
Raised between Harlem and The Bronx in a Panamanian-American household, Errol has only had two jobs in his life. One, working for famed Harlem fashion designer Dapper Dan, the other in the Harlem River Houses library, ended with the adolescent taking paychecks. Even before then, the teen known as “H-O” in the streets, hustled hard. After he dropped out of high school he took to making money on 123rd, 111th Street, and other corridors within the boroughs, as well as in Pittsburgh, South Carolina, and upstate. That lifestyle lasted decades, complete with incarceration, fractured family dynamics, and a myriad of valleys and peaks.
In 2019, Errol Holden transitioned from the roof to the booth. The artist side of Errol found solace in writing his life in verse. Those thoughts and accounts of life eventually resulted in a handful of self-released projects, presented to customers directly through social media outreach, only to discover people valued the work to the point of paying sizable sums. “I am a lifelong criminal in transformation, and music has shown me that you don’t have to do bad” Errol states.
Errol Holden’s Supreme Magnetic will be released on 2.25.25 via Roc Nation.
Errol Holden’s new single, “Evelyn & North” is now available at all DSP’s, and you can also watch the new video for the single below.
2. Gsambo – Old Soul
Source:Too High Records
Q Da Fool producer JDOnThaBeat handles instrumentation for Gsambo‘s first commercial release of the new year via Too High Records / Too Lost. Titled “Old Soul,” the song is a raw and unapologetic anthem that fuses street authenticity with elevated ambition.
Over hard-hitting production, Gsambo delivers gritty verses that reflect his journey from humble beginnings to hustling success. The single captures the RVA representer’s ability to navigate the fast-paced grind while carrying the weight of lived experience.
With vivid imagery of stacking racks, luxury scents like Baccarat, and street-savvy maneuvers, Gsambo paints a picture of relentless ambition. The lyrics highlight his entrepreneurial mindset—from working two phones to keeping his circle solid with longtime friends like Ray Ray. The track’s energetic delivery and infectious hook make it a cohesive cut designed to resonate with hustlers and go-getters alike.
3. BabyDrill – Scared Of The P*ssy
Source:BabyDrill
Today, breakout ATL rapper BabyDrill releases “Scared Of The Pu**y” on all platforms following the video release at the beginning of this month – listen here. This follows the release of his project ScoreGod last February and a ton of features. A reflective body of work from a clearer mindset, ScoreGod highlights his evolution as a rapper and an artist, a clear departure from the paranoia that seeped through his 2023 album MadMan.
BabyDrill initially garnered buzz in Atlanta with his 2022 breakout song “32 Freestyle.” The word started getting out locally, but BabyDrill couldn’t immediately reap the rewards. Soon after “32 Freestyle” dropped, Drill was arrested. His release on bond that same year was accompanied by his debut project, Drill Season, compiled mostly from older material, which balances big, brassy trap and blockbuster features (Latto, G Herbo) with softer melodic moments like “War Wounds.” For the next six months while on house arrest, Drill would spend nearly every waking moment at the studio. He claims he recorded 900 songs in that stretch, with the first result of that period being his MadMan album that was released in the summer of 2023, right after he beat the case and was cleared of all charges. With a new outlook on life and a buzzing rap career, BabyDrill is focused on the future and is enjoying the now. He’s currently working on his next project coming soon.
Stay tuned for more from BabyDrill coming soon.
4. DeeBaby – Mírame Baby
Source:Official DeeBabyTV
After a rough childhood and a tireless grind to get out of the trenches, DeeBaby has learned to enjoy the finer things in life. On his new single and music video, “Mírame Baby,” the Houston native seeks a queen to experience the highs and lows with him as he builds his empire. The song is a showcase for his twangy melodies, as he croons sweet nothings over sparkling guitars and crisp Texas trap percussion. In the video, DeeBaby and his girlfriend spend a romantic evening in his mansion, surrounded by monuments to the accomplishments the 28-year-old rapper has already achieved in his career.
Following up the video for the Kodak Black-endorsed banger “Half A Ticket,” which generated 1 million views in its first 48 hours and peaked in the Top 30 of YouTube’s trending chart, “Mírame Baby” is the latest single from Ms. Salazar, DeeBaby’s upcoming album. The album is dedicated to DeeBaby’s chosen (non-biological) grandmother, the woman who took him in and nurtured him when he was all out of options. On the album, DeeBaby explores conventional and unconventional family ties, stressing the importance of finding the people who will support you regardless of blood ties. The follow-up to last year’s Can You Hear Me Now? tape and his breakout 2023 effort Junkie Mode, Ms. Salazar arrives this February via Already Platinum / Create Music Group.
DeeBaby started his rap career in 2021, catching fire with his single “Marz,” racking up over 23 million YouTube views and over 19 million streams on Spotify. “Marz” catapulted DeeBaby to the forefront of the Texas rap scene, presaging a series of successful singles, including “Broken Promises” (14 million YouTube views). DeeBaby’s soulful drawl, tight rhyming technique, and raw lyricism drew the attention of Kevin Gates, who gave DeeBaby his enthusiastic co-sign, affectionately calling him “the Mexican Gates.” Peaking in the Top 10 of Apple Music’s Hip-Hop Albums chart and at #12 on Billboard Heatseekers, 2023’s Junkie Mode mixtape was a step forward for the young rapper, racking up over 242 million streams and featuring fan-favorite hits like the inspirational trap ballad “Never Gon’ End,” and the Roxette-interpolating “Listen To Your Heart” (which has over 28 million views in a combo video with “Numb”). Last year, DeeBaby made his mark with the Can You Hear Me Now? tape (#13 on Billboard Heatseekers) and finally connected with his big homie Kevin Gates for the street hit “Millions For My Pain.”
With Ms. Salazar on deck, DeeBaby is looking to build on his groundswell of support and become a national name. Stay tuned for much more from DeeBaby in 2025.

8. Max McNown – Night Diving
Source:Max McNown
Today, Nashville-based Oregon-raised singer-songwriter on the rise Max McNown released his stunning sophomore album, Night Diving, on Fugitive Recordings x The Orchard x Columbia Records. Listen here.
A graceful fusion of folk and pop from “[one of the] brightest newly minted stars to come out of Nashville in recent years” (GRAMMY.com), Night Diving arrives as the promising followup to McNown’s critically-acclaimed debut album Wandering (released April 2024). Produced by Jamie Kenney (Colbie Caillat, Laci Kaye Booth), Night Diving is a body of work that explores new and daring sonic terrain while fully affirming McNown’s extraordinary capacity to ease the mind and strengthen the soul.
With its otherworldly textures, moody guitar tones, and strangely haunting rhythms, the focus track “Night Diving” serves as a lived-in meditation on cycles of addiction, co-written with Kenney and singer/songwriter Erin McCarley.
“We stepped into the writing room and Erin asked, ‘What’s something in your life that you keep fighting and can’t seem to overcome?’” McNown recalls. “‘Night Diving’ became the answer to that question—it’s a song that addresses addiction and I think it’ll resonate with people on a lot of different levels. The ‘Night Diving’ song and video contain the deepest waters of symbolism I’ve created to date.”
Other standout tracks include “Better Me For You (Brown Eyes),” offering a personal reflection on rising to the occasion for a once-in-a-lifetime love, “Roses and Wolves,” featuring beautiful vocals from country artist Hailey Whitters, and “Hotel Bible,” a warmhearted antidote to the soul-crushing effects of self-doubt. In bringing the music to life, McNown and Kenney incorporated a number of inventive sonic elements, including a beat constructed from train tracks and banging chains against the floor. McNown’s sophisticated songwriting and arresting voice is set to establish him as country-folk’s fastest rising stars.
McNown’s latest triumphs include being named Billboard’s Country Rookie of the Month for November of last year following his feature as CMT’s Next Up Now artist, when we saw the release of Willfully Blind. The EP landed as the Oregon-born artist made his AmericanaFest debut, and as we saw another major resurgence of his breakout hit single “A Lot More Free.” Since the single’s release it has recently achieved RIAA Gold certification, earned McNown a top spot as #1 on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart, peaked at #1 on the iTunes singles chart and #1 on the TikTok Breakthrough USA chart, climbed the Canadian Hot 100 chart, and was placed on Spotify’s Hot Country and Viral 50 global playlists.
At 23, McNown has already been on a storied musical journey. Taking control of his future, overcoming personal challenges, and drawing inspiration from his brother who was bravely fighting cancer, McNown packed his bags and drove from remote Oregon to Southern California. From there, videos of him busking on a pier made an impact online and eventually grew into a legion of supporters on TikTok (currently has 2M followers). After attracting interest from major TV talent shows, McNown auditioned for one and then decided it wasn’t for him, and gracefully turned them down as he knew he needed to walk his own path.
In April of 2024, McNown earned ample support for his first full-length record, Wandering, which was listed as a top debut album of the year by Whiskey Riff, and lauded by Holler, American Songwriter, People Magazine, and more. He then went on his first tours supporting folk band Briscoe, Australian artist Blake Rose, and opened for major country stars such as Wynonna Judd, plus made his Grand Ole Opry debut.
The rising singer-songwriter’s debut headline tour has completely sold out with stops in cities including New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, Nashville, and more. McNown will also be performing at Arizona’s Extra Innings Festival – visit maxmcnown.com for more information.
9. Josh Gilligan – Party Of One
Source:Josh Gilligan – Topic
Today, Nashville-based singer-songwriter and filmmaker Josh Gilligan releases his delicate debut album Party of One via Chicago and Nashville-based indie label Easy Does It Records. Embracing an optimistic perspective shift, Gilligan created an album that discusses dark themes like isolation and internal conflict with a gentle humor and a warm generosity that takes no chord or phrase for granted.
Party of One collects the wisdom Gilligan gleaned from a long period of deep sadness, self-doubt, and confusion. There are songs about separation, internal conflicts, creative disappointments, all of which added up to a pervasive melancholy in his late 20s and early 30s. He’d spent nearly a decade gigging around Nashville, balancing other jobs adjacent to the music industry with his own musical pursuits.
“I wasn’t expecting to feel so hollowed out after my twenties,” says Gilligan, “and I was wondering if I still wanted to make music. But I felt like I owed it to myself to give it another try, even though in the back of my mind I’m thinking, What can I add to the conversation? Why would anyone want to listen to what I have to say? ‘Anything’ came out of that, and it’s been a good message to live with. A lot of people think that if they’re not doing something super ambitious and highly visible, that means they’re doing something wrong or they’re not being brave enough. But it takes so much bravery to do anything at all.”
Perfectly embodying the buoyant spirit of Party of One, a somber, yet hopeful collection of songs, is the song “Ceiling.” With ethereal, soft rock chords and disarming lyrics, it’s about “feeling the pull out of a phase of life and moving into a new one,” says Gilligan. “No hard feelings, it’s just about taking the next step away from something when you no longer need it and it doesn’t need you.”
Emoting a melancholic curiosity, the song “500 Questions,” layers meditative lyrics over ‘70s-inspired, psych-rock instrumentation, while the album’s opener, “Anything,” emphasizes the artist’s vocal delivery as “feather-light, resting easily atop a bed of warm guitars and effortless grooves” (Under The Radar). Another standout track is the introspective “Tightrope,” which shimmers with shuffling rhythms and gentle harmonies buoyed by Gilligan’s sharp songwriting.
Gilligan drew from the ‘70s pop and soft rock of his childhood, creating a sound that resonates with personal references: the graceful melodicism of Paul Simon, the restless experimentation of Todd Rundgren, the emotional directness of James Taylor. “My mom was raising five kids—I was the middle child—and she would take us on long drives to make us sleepy. And she would play Wings, America, Christopher Cross. Instead of rejecting her music, I embraced all of it. That’s the stuff I’m thinking about when I make music. It completely formed my sensibilities. My mom inadvertently crafted the palette of Party of One.”
Party of One marks a new step in Gilligan’s musical journey, following the success of his 2021 EP, Go Around.
Those who might not be familiar with his sound or presence in the Nashville indie scene, Gilligan has worked in various capacities with artists like Halfnoise, Madi Diaz, Elke, and Medium Build, whom he recently opened for on tour last fall. His diverse experiences on stage have infused his music with a rich blend of influences, setting the stage for his most personal project to date.
Gilligan spent years recording, mixing, and even sequencing another record, but something didn’t sit right. It took bravery to set it aside and start again from scratch. In 2022 he spent a month in California, savoring the change of scenery and working with a different set of musicians. In one memorable afternoon he and Jacob Jeffries (who plays keyboards for Vulfpeck) wrote a song called “Tight Rope,” out now. It’s a gentle ballad with chiming guitars, shimmering keyboards, and lyrics about how falling off the tight rope gets you back down to earth. It was a breakthrough. “Honestly it felt less like doing a co-write and more like finding a long-lost member of my musical family. I remember thinking, This is how I want the album to sound. I built everything else around that song. It came out like a sneeze, but the others came together with more time and care.”
When he’s not making music, Gilligan enjoys spending his time outdoors, fishing or working on vintage music equipment. His passion for music and creativity is matched by his appreciation for the simple pleasures in life, and he strives to create songs that resonate on a genuine level with his audience.

The project seamlessly blends global sounds with poignant lyrics that delve into the complexities of love, lust, infatuation and heartbreak. Produced and written by Adetunji, the 10-track collection was created in collaboration with hitmakers Take A Daytrip, Chase & Status, Danja, 18YOMAN, Danny Casio, Villabeatz, J Rick and more. A Jaguar’s Dream is preceded by previously released singles “Too Many Women” featuring East London artist kwn, “Options” with rap icon Lil Baby and the colossal hit “KEHLANI” co-starring his muse and vocal powerhouse Kehlani–which earned a nod for Best Melodic Rap Performance at the 2025 GRAMMY Awards. Most recently, Jordan was nominated for Song of the Year (“KEHLANI”) at the BRIT Awards 2025 and Best New Hip-Hop Artist at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards. On March 15, he will make his debut US festival performance at Rolling Loud California in Inglewood, CA.
Speaking on the mixtape Jordan shares, “A Jaguar to me, is someone who moves through spaces and conquers every space it enters. This is how I feel with my sound constantly evolving and conquering every space I enter into. A Jaguar’s Dream is an entry into my love life and my world of thoughts through sound and emotion. A real manifestation of my dreams I wish to make reality.”
Co Produced by Adetunji, Danny Casio and Parked Up, “305” sees Jordan and Bryson joining forces for an explosive R&B track that oozes sensuality and urgency. In the captivating music video, directed by OSKV, the dynamic duo traverse a monochromatic realm where sleek vignettes are intertwined with the allure of beautiful women. The atmosphere is thrilling and darkly moody, enveloping them in a hyper-visual tapestry that feels like a brooding video game come to life.
Speaking on “305” Jordan shares, “Miami has always been a city that I’ve wanted to visit, so this song was a manifestation of that. Lyrically it discusses falling in love with someone who lives in a foreign city with a completely different lifestyle. Bryson is a big inspiration to me and we got the chance to hang out before we even recorded the song. I played him some of my music and he gravitated towards this track. It’s crazy because we shot the video in Miami so it was a full circle moment.”

12. Avery Lynch – the boys who don’t know what they want
Source:Avery Lynch
Rising singer-songwriter Avery Lynch reveals her poignant new single, “the boys who don’t know what they want,” out today via RECORDS.
Since making her debut in 2020, Avery Lynch has enchanted listeners worldwide with her emotionally charged, piano-driven ballads, amassing over 100 million streams. “the boys who don’t know what they want” is yet another testament to Avery’s exceptional ability to channel raw emotion through minimalist production and her captivating vocals. The song explores the vulnerability and frustration of navigating relationships with indecisive men, offering a deeply relatable narrative that’s sure to resonate with many listeners.
“The title of the song really says it all,” Avery elaborates. “I wrote this song about those ‘almost’ relationships that I’ve been in myself and have observed around me — people will act the part of someone in a relationship while not wanting one, or they’ll want a relationship and not act on it. I made this song as a sister-song to ‘you’re just a guy” and, just like that song, this doesn’t feel specifically sad to me, it feels more matter-of-fact. It’s just something I’ve observed that we’ve all experienced and don’t want to experience anymore.”
Originally hailing from Pennsylvania, Avery Lynch embarked on her musical journey at the tender age of 7, composing piano pieces before seamlessly transitioning into songwriting. Now based in Los Angeles, her signature sound, characterized by lush piano arrangements and soft, romantic vocals, has become the cornerstone of her artistry. Each song begins with Avery alone at her piano, crafting heartfelt demos that she later brings to life with her close-knit team.
Often described as a “happy girl filled with sad songs,” Avery’s music is a masterclass in storytelling, inspired by her life experiences, the world around her, and the media she consumes. With praise from tastemakers like Just Jared and EARMILK, and millions of devoted listeners, Avery’s star continues to rise. The self-produced 13-track project, co-produced with Josef Liemberg, delivers warm melodies and heartfelt themes, providing a soothing escape and a message of hope during what has been a challenging start to the year for many.
The album was preceded by the release of singles “Never Gonna Take Away My Love,” “Walk With The Father,” and “Hope.” The latter of the three was initially envisioned as an ode to Martin Luther King Jr. on his birthday, but as devastating wildfires ravaged Bereal’s hometowns of Pasadena and Altadena—damaging his family-owned church as well as homes and businesses of family and friends—he released the track as a heartfelt effort to uplift and inspire his community during the difficult time. The buzz around the project began with a collaborative Instagram post featuring Snoop Dogg and Death Row Records, building anticipation for this milestone release.
Though now stepping into the spotlight, Bereal is no stranger to the music industry. He’s lent his signature guitar melodies to iconic tracks like Aaliyah’s “More Than a Woman,” Missy Elliott’s “One Minute Man,” Mýa’s “Love Is Like Whoa,” and Jamie Foxx’s “Do What It Do.” His impressive career includes collaborations with legends such as Jay-Z, Ja Rule, Nelly, Busta Rhymes, Kanye West, Ashanti, Brandy, Mario, Tweet, Toni Braxton, Raphael Saadiq, and PJ Morton, earning him multiple GRAMMY nominations and a partnership with Fender guitars.
Born into a musical family in California, Charlie Bereal’s journey began in the church, where he first picked up the guitar at a young age. By high school, he was already touring with Grammy-winning Gospel singer Donnie McClurkin, and by 18, he had built a successful career as a producer and touring guitarist. However, despite his success, Bereal felt a calling to pursue his own music, leading him to transition into a solo artist, blending classic soul and gospel with a modern twist. With some already impressive streaming numbers and support, there’s much to be excited about when it comes to this multi-talented artist.

Source:NELLA
Picking up steam as the artist to watch in 2025, Anella—formerly known as Anella Herim—serves up the next installment of his acclaimed fan favorite “Nellavision” series, Season 4: I Need You, out now via Def Jam Recordings. On the fourth iteration of this ongoing body of work, Anella continues to stretch and shape his genre-bending signature style. “Love On The Brain” hinges on a deftly plucked guitar loop and head-nodding beat. The core vocal transfixes as he croons, “Maybe you should stop thinking about what we had before you tell me it ain’t love on the brain.” HUNXHO counters with an instantly recognizable verse, and the accompanying visual highlights their chemistry on-screen. Then, there’s “650 Destinations” where warbling synths underscore Anella’s delivery topped off with an escapist fantasy, “650 destinations—way more than you need.” Elsewhere, he gets in his feelings on the lovestruck “Juliana” as he reminds, “That’s my baby, that’s my darling.”

21. Chase Shakur ft. TyFontaine – Fairytales In Midtown
Source:Chase Shakur
Chase Shakur explores the experience of love from all angles, creating immersive songs that reverberate with emotion and offer keen insight. Shortly after the official announcement of his debut album, WONDERLOVE, Chase Shakur shares “FAIRYTALES IN MIDTOWN,” the album’s newest single. With a title that refers to a neighborhood in Chase’s hometown of Atlanta, not the Big Apple, “FAIRYTALES IN MIDTOWN” is a slow jam for the early stages of a relationship, when feverish desire overloads all senses and dominates every waking thought. The song features a guest spot from TyFontaine, whose spritely melodies mesh perfectly with Chase’s sighing sweet nothings.
“FAIRYTALES IN MIDTOWN” gives fans another glimpse of WONDERLOVE, Chase Shakur’s anticipated debut album. The new collaboration follows a line of quality singles from the project that started to emerge in Fall 2024. In September, Chase dug deep into his psyche with the haunting “LIMERENCE,” praised by UPROXX, BET, Rated R&B, and more. He followed “LIMERENCE” with the spritely “2OfUs,” and its accompanying music video, and most recently, he shared the lush and seductive “FOCUS ON ME.” Populated by shimmering synths and subsonic bass, WONDERLOVE is an exploration of love’s highs and lows, delivered in Chase’s atmospheric, yet intimate R&B style. With the full tracklist to be announced, WONDERLOVE arrives on February 7th via Def Jam Recordings and is currently available for pre-order.
“WONDERLOVE is the best work my team and I have created so far,” says Chase Shakur. “This album is an exploration of love in all its forms, with each track offering a unique perspective and feeling. I’m excited for fans to immerse themselves in the world of WONDERLOVE and experience everything we’ve poured into it.”
WONDERLOVE continues Chase Shakur’s run as one of the most exciting R&B artists in Atlanta and beyond. He started his rise in 2022, after dropping out of school to focus on music and getting kicked out of his house in the process. He quickly found success with his 2022 debut project, It’ll Be Fine, home to cult hits like “too far close” (38 million Spotify streams) and “i don’t want to fall in love, it’s too late now” (35.3 million Spotify streams), which drew the attention of Def Jam Recordings. 2024 was a busy year for Chase Shakur, filled with new singles and high-profile performances. In March, just before performing at Rolling Stone’s Future Of Music Showcase at SXSW, Chase shared “THE STUNT-MAN PACK,” a double single featuring “YOLANDA,” an airy, uptempo, and wistful club anthem, and the off-kilter slow jam “OPTIONS.” Over the summer, Chase toured the globe with The Kid LAROI on the Australian artist’s “The First Time Tour.”
Readying himself for a massive 2025, Chase Shakur aims to change the R&B conversation with WONDERLOVE. Stay tuned for much more from the exciting young artist in the near future.
22. Adrian Lyles – King Of Everything
Source:Adrian Lyles
Breakout alt-pop artist Adrian Lyles gives us a vulnerable new single, “King of Everything,” out now via Hollywood Records. Today also marks the first night of Adrian’s first-ever tour as he joins almost monday on their North American run, kicking off with a sold-out show at Soundwell in Salt Lake City.
A departure from the upbeat sound of his previous releases, “King of Everything” features stripped back production and raw vocals as Adrian opens up about some of his deepest anxieties. “’King of Everything’ is my definition of self reflection,” says Adrian. “The entire song is about constantly competing with yourself in everything you do, to a level that could become unhealthy.”
At only 20 years old, Adrian’s ability to look deep within himself and share his deepest insecurities with the world extends far beyond his years. Though deeply personal, “King of Everything” possesses a universality, most evident in lyrics like “I’m probably gonna lose my friends / Right before they hate me / Ghost town, no calls, no sound, they’ll all bow out when they getting sick of chasing.”
“King of Everything,” written by Adrian, Sissy Smith, and written/produced by Lenii, is Adrian’s third single, following 2024’s “Somewhere To Go” and “Formalize Me.” With influences spanning across countless decades and genres, Adrian’s sound blends pop sensibilities with indie guitar riffs and hip-hop melodies to create a sound uniquely his own. Sweety High recently proclaimed, “we’re calling it now—Adrian Lyles has everything it takes to be the next big thing in pop.”
Adrian will perform these songs, along with unreleased music from his upcoming debut album, on the road with almost monday as he joins them on their DIVE Tour. The tour begins tonight in Salt Lake City and makes stops in New York City, Washington D.C., and more before wrapping at The Echoplex in Los Angeles on February 22. In partnership with Roland, Adrian will perform as part of Roland’s unveiling of the new V-STAGE 88 keyboard at NAMM. Appearing just two days after the keyboard’s public launch and one day before the DIVE Tour begins, Adrian is the first artist to tour with the new V-STAGE 88 performance keyboard. Full tour routing below.
Adrian’s musical journey began with piano lessons at just three years old and continued throughout middle and high school with Adrian performing gigs around Dallas, TX with increasing frequency. In 2022, Adrian starred as “Jet” on Seasons 3 and 4 of Disney’s High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, contributing several fan favorite recordings to the show’s official soundtrack. With over a decade of experience playing live and songwriting, Adrian is ready to wear his heart on his sleeve on his forthcoming debut album.
23. Leslie Jordan – The Fight
Source:Leslie Jordan
Nearly a decade ago, when sent a copy of her late, wayfaring grandfather’s journal, singer-songwriter Leslie Jordan knew that the treasure trove of poetry and wisdom would make its way into her musical story. Robert S. Gott, or Bobby as his friends & family knew him, left his young family in the 50’s to run from his mistakes and to chase his muse. The dream of becoming a beatnik poet led him from Crawfordsville, Indiana, to El Paso, Texas, up to Provincetown, Massachusetts, and eventually out to the Golden Coast in El Cerrito, California. Riddled with guilt and chained to his addiction, Bobby narrated his way through life as “The Agonist.” He wrote short stanzas of evocative poetry, short stories of provocative men and women, and long journal entries about his love affair with alcohol and his brother’s wife, Sylvia. With pages of typewritten entries, Jordan pieced together the story and set it to song with her beautifully melancholy Americana and roots sensibilities.
On April 25th, Bobby’s stories will see the light of day with Jordan’s release of The Agonist, a ten-song collection put together as not only a way to connect the thread of Jordan and Gott’s familial creativity but also to complete the journey of her lost and lonely grandfather. “All lives deserve redemption, even the messiest,” she says. “This is my attempt to create light from dark.” Produced by Kenneth Pattengale (The Milk Carton Kids, Joy Williams, Willie Watson) at Far Cry Studios in Los Angeles, The Agonist features guest appearances from The Milk Carton Kids, Sara Watkins (Nickel Creek, Watkins Family Hour), and Brittney Spencer as well as a host of the loosely-gathered genre’s finest musicians. Layers of acoustic instrumentation and tangles of harmony create an intimate foundation for the stories to unfold with Jordan’s pristine voice evoking an emotion reemerging after two generations.
Today, Jordan released the first single from The Agonist, “The Fight.” Co-written with Sandra McCracken, “The Fight” began with one of Jordan’s grandfather’s pieces of the same title. “I knew I had to save it for my co-write with Sandra,” remembers Jordan. “I have long admired Sandra’s ability to tell a story in her songs with honesty and raw vulnerability.” When telling the heartbreaking story of a mother’s internal dialogue after she loses control and hits her son, the pair sat with Bobby’s words for a while, deciding what the story was about and how it made them feel. “I knew [Sandra] could help me capture the true intention of this piece—to find the lyrics within it and craft the song with me.”
The story Jordan’s grandfather wrote began with these two lines: “The rebellion was over, and she had sent him to wash-up. There comes a time when children must be made to realize limitations and authority.” McCracken took the visceral words and began to craft them into a brand-new song, revealing the first verse to Jordan:
“The rebellion was over
She sent him to wash his hands
She tried to reason with him
But he could not understand
There comes a time when you find the limit”
“I started singing the words along to the chords and it felt like we had caught lightning in a bottle,” remembers Jordan. Well after the song was completed and had been recorded in California, Jordan played the album mixes to her friend, fellow recording artist Brittany Spencer, in her car after lunch one afternoon. “I told her that I wasn’t finished yet with this song because it needed some harmonies on the chorus,” says Jordan. Spencer immediately raised her hand and said, “Can I do it??” With one more session of Spencer stacking vocal harmonies at Jordan’s home studio, “The Fight” was complete.
Fans can stream or purchase “The Fight” today at this link and stay up to date on The Agonist ahead of its April 25th release right here. If you’re in Nashville, don’t miss Jordan’s album release show on April 30th at Analog at Hutton Hotel. Purchase tickets here or reply to this email to request a media pass.
24. Isabel Pless – Shirley Temples
Source:Isabel Pless
Today, Nashville-based singer-songwriter Isabel Pless gifts listeners with the final single from her upcoming debut album, “Shirley Temples.” She will independently release Workhorse in its entirety on February 21. Stream “Shirley Temples” / Pre-save Workhorse.
Using not much more than her words and simple instrumentation to paint a vivid picture, “Shirley Temples” is vastly intimate. The listener is introduced not only to a rolling cast of characters in Pless’ life, but also to her innermost sensations.
“I wrote ‘Shirley Temples’ about my last summer in Vermont before moving to Nashville,” shares Pless. “For the first time in my life I felt so much gratitude for where I grew up and how it helped shape who I am. When I listen to it I feel a little happy, a little sad, and very hopeful— I hope everyone else feels similarly.”
On her debut album, Workhorse, Pless makes everyday life feel monumental. The ten-song project spans mellow folk to headbanging pop, but her writing consistently honors each tone and notion. Isabel is your older sister reminding you of your self-worth, she is your best friend crying in your passenger seat about a breakup, and she is you wondering when things will finally start going your way.
Produced and co-written by Ariza, each song offers a new sound and a different perspective from the last: Workhorse’s charm stems from its range. There are no right or wrong emotions, and Isabel feels them all with humor to spare. And she invites you to feel them all alongside her. Workhorse arrives on February 21.
25. Sarah Quintana – baby, don’t
Source:Sarah Quintana – Topic
When stepping into the role of producer and bandleader for her third full-length album, New Orleans-based singer-songwriter Sarah Quintana drew from her wildly varied musical experiences to create a “Louisiana” record her way. Having worked previously with Cajun legends, French musicians, New Orleans roots-rock bands, and storytelling folk artists, Quintana thought long and hard about what it means to make music in New Orleans but settled on the idea that it never has to fit into any one box. “I really set out to be myself on this record. And to make Louisiana music my own,” she says. “What happened was an exercise in trusting my own voice.” The fruit of her labor is a brand new album, BABY DON’T, due on March 28th.
Today, Quintana released the album’s title track, a swinging, catchy tune about, in Quintana’s words, “getting lost in what you love to do.” Inspired by hours of listening to Acadiana’s public radio stalwart, KRVS, and New Orleans’s legendary independent station, WWOZ, Quintana set out to create something that sounded straight out of the 50s and 60s, gathering her band in one room for the recording and bouncing the mix to a real-deal tape machine to achieve her goal. An easy sing- and/or dance-along number, “baby, don’t” began life as an instrumental guitar tune, and Quintana leads the song back to its original format in a distortion-laden guitar and saxophone dual with Rex Gregory before leading the drums (Rose Cangelosi), tuba (Jason Jurzak), and cello(Chris Beroes-Haigis)—how’s that for an atypical rhythm section—back into the final refrain: “Don’t, don’t, don’t, change my radio!”
Fans can stream or purchase “baby, don’t” right now at this link and pre-order or pre-save BABY DON’T ahead of its March 28th release right here. For more information, please visit sarahquintana.com.
26. Novulent – Before Evolution
Source:Novulent
Today, as his first-ever headline tour draws to a close, 20-year-old up and coming artist Novulent drops his new EP, BEFORE EVOLUTION, via Capitol Records. Listen to BEFORE EVOLUTION HERE.
Novulent’s gift for storytelling shines on “death wish.” On the first verse, he spins a tale of a terrifying attraction. New Zealand-based artist whatsaheart counters with a siren’s song on the second verse, drawing him in deeper and deeper.
He explains, “The premise behind ‘death wish’ is a toxic relationship but very exaggerated, in order to be cinematic. A toxic relationship feels like a death wish – you feel like you’re actually dying and you’re going to be harmed by being around them. Your emotions are heightened.”
After sold-out headline shows in such cities as Chicago and Los Angeles, Novulent will wrap up The Evolution Tour with a trio of Texas dates and a final New York City date. He’ll play The Secret Group in Houston tonight, TX Tea Room in his hometown of Dallas tomorrow January 25, and Mercury Lounge in New York City on February 1. Tickets are available HERE. The Missing Peace and Olive Vox are supporting him on the tour, which marks his first headline run. He made his live debut in Texas last year, opening for Violent Vira.
While he initially planned to become a tattoo artist, Novulent became obsessed with creating music after seeing how everyday people were experimenting with sounds and posting their work on platforms like SoundCloud. At 17, he began creating songs in Bandlab, fusing elements of hard rock, shoegaze and Midwest emo into a sound all his own.
The three-song BEFORE EVOLUTION is a bridge, giving fans who may have discovered him with his breakout track “scars” – which has amassed over 111 million streams on Spotify alone – a preview of his next era.
Novulent says, “The EP is a proper expression of not only just emotional vulnerability, when it comes to these songs compared to my earlier ones, but also objectively how I’ve gotten better and improved as an artist.”
27. Jeshi – Airbag Woke Me Up
Source:Jeshi
Today, London’s concept album King, Jeshi has dropped his long awaited second album AIRBAG WOKE ME UP alongside new single and music video “STUCK ON LOOP”.
Close collaborators Elijah Waters, Fredwave and Dom Valentino – who, alongside the likes of JD. REID and JONAH – stepped up for album production duties. New single “STUCK ON LOOP” was made on a trip after the group stumbled across “This World” by Selah Sue while playing random records. Waters and Fredwave are among the collage of voices heard on 14-track effort AIRBAG WOKE ME UP, along with rising Leicester rapper Sainté and vocalist LEILAH.
On “YOU SNOOZE YOU LOSE”, Jeshi recounts the real-life experience that inspired the album’s title over an instrumental that sounds a little like a jam session warm-up. Once when he was a teenager, Jeshi crashed into a parked car on his way home from a party. He and his friends had opted to snooze in his car overnight, and had begun to make their way home in the early hours. They were only minutes out when Jeshi slipped back into sleep, only to be woken up by the airbag deploying in his face. The incident – “a stupid story about stupid things you do when you’re young” – became a metaphor, of sorts, for awakening and recalibrating, themes that charge through the album.
“I love artists where every album defines a new period or part of their life – that was the inspiration thematically. Then with the music, I just wanted to make big-sounding songs,” adds Jeshi. Tunes like the amp-shattering “DISCONNECT!” or rave-ready “BAD PARTS ARE MY FAVOURITE” (where Jeshi coyly asks: “What’s life if you don’t dance with danger?”) illustrate this desire, while “LOVE SONGS” is daring in a different way, as Jeshi steps into romantic territory for the first time.
Airbag Woke Me Up is an exploration into what happens when you emerge from tough times, and how they encourage you to view the world a little differently. It’s bolder in ambition and built with renewed energy. Chaotic, but in the very best way. “In my head, this is the real arrival chapter,” states Jeshi. “The ‘I am here, I’ve arrived’ moment.”
At the core of Jeshi’s sophomore effort is dynamism; the harnessing of movement and his quest to feel alive in every sense of the word. This sentiment has always felt core to Jeshi’s artistic mission. This has never been as palpable as on Jeshi’s electrifying second album AIRBAG WOKE ME UP.
It’s a collection of moment-capturing songs built to ignite reactions and start conversations. His scene-stealing jaunts to stages worldwide clearly influence his live-wire sound. Jeshi and his cohort smash through moods and tempos like kids let loose on dodgem cars. “I want to make things that have intent and feel like statements,” Jeshi declares. His versatile voice is the conductive thread that pulls everything together. “On Universal Credit, my voice was used in one way, whereas on this it’s used in ten ways,” he explains.
Jeshi jumped straight into releasing again after his 5 city and 7 date Australia & New Zealand tour and a packed London Fashion Week which included attending front row at shows by Ahluwalia, Fashion East, Labrum, Natasha Zinko as well as events with The Face, Slawn X Saatchi, Knwls, Jordan Luca & Wonderland.
Jeshi’s authentic realism and self-understanding has made him beloved with fans and critics alike. Introspective without dwelling and honest without being glum, Jeshi finds a unique balance to reflect his perspective.
28. Kadavar – I Just Want To Be A Sound
Source:KADAVAR
A new sound is being ushered in by the German based rock band, Kadavar. Today, the band revealed details surrounding their upcoming new album ‘I Just Want To Be A Sound’ to be released May 16 via Clouds Hill. With this they also release the title track, “I Just Want To Be A Sound”.
‘I Just Want To Be A Sound’ is a manifesto for freedom, transformation and radical presence. An album that repeatedly abandons itself in order to reincarnate in new forms. Rock anthem, ballad, pop song, epic and earthly alternate seamlessly and virtuously. Free and full of momentum.
Now a four piece led by founders Lupus Lindemann and Tiger Bartelt, and rounded out by guitarist Jascha Kreft and bassist Simon ‘Dragon’ Bouteloup, the declaration “I Just Want To Be A Sound” came from Bouteloup. When Lindemann Bartelt asked him in 2013, shortly after Lindemann and Barlet joined the band, why he didn’t have any social media accounts, he replied: “I just want to be a sound.” A sentence that stuck – and that sums up the band’s self-image. What was casually formulated at the time has developed into a leitmotif over the band’s 15-year history: an uncompromising claim that demands nothing less than to be completely absorbed in the sound without being distracted by outward appearances. A principle to which Kadavar have remained true since their formation in 2010 and which finds its strongest development to date with this album.
“I Just Want To Be A Sound” is more than a song to us – it’s the essence of Kadavar: A relentless yearning for freedom and the unshakable urge to live through music. We poured everything into it – our lives, our spirit, our truth,” says the band in a joint statement.
Kadavar has undergone a significant transformation on this path of sound development. From credible representatives of retroesque, psychedelic stoner rock – which always thrived on the contemporary coolness of Berlin, the city where Lupus and Tiger met in the hedonistic noughties – they soon ventured out into the big wide world. They not only showcased their musical ideas on stages in countless countries but also found new inspiration. While Kadavar initially sounded like the past, their sound became more and more contemporary over the years, shaped by the experience machine of extensive touring, crossing genre boundaries. Sound as a changing, universal language – that is what Kadavar have always known how to create. With its focus on change, ‘I Just Want To Be A Sound’ is also an ode to Berlin.
This week the band was announced as part of the 2025 Austin Psych Fest Lineup, along with artists like Dinosaur Jr, Explosions In The Sky, Kim Gordon, Yo La Tengo and more. The festival will take place April 25-27 in Austin, TX. Tickets are available at: www.bit.ly/PSYCH25

Source:B.U.G Antman
Today, rising rap surrealist B.U.G Antman returns with “Make Sense,” a hypnotic new single that sounds beamed in from an alternate-universe Atlanta. Listen HERE and stay tuned for the trippy video via Warner Records.
“I can’t even make this s–t make sense,” B.U.G Antman says at the start, floating through a gravityless soundscape of aqueous synth textures, chiming melody fragments, and wild echoing adlibs. But he’s perfectly at home on the dreamlike track: “Got a psycho bih like Harley Quinn / Money coming in, money coming in / We kick down your door then we runnin’ in.”
About the track B.U.G Antman shares, “Make Sense” exudes an unapologetic energy that combines confident self-expression and unwavering loyalty to the team. The lyrics emphasize a relentless pursuit of financial success and letting go of any external distractions. It’s direct, assertive, and laser-focused on growth, making it clear that anyone outside the team has no part in the journey.
The psychedelic track underscores the outsized charisma and otherworldly talent of B.U.G Antman, whom last November shared the vibrant single “Meltdown” — which came with an appropriately drippy video (watch HERE). The buzzing artist crawled his way to the top of the new Atlanta scene over the past few years, developing his singular vision across a series of thrilling projects: Goats On a Cliff (2020), Trap Infested (2023), and I See Colors (2023).
B.U.G Antman hit the gas heading into 2024 with his Bug EP, produced by Bakkwoods (SoFaygo, Lil Tecca, Ken Carson), and subsequent singles like “Phone on Private” and “Over Knees,” the latter of which he brought to the On the Radar Radio along with a couple of older actors who played the role of proud parents while he performed. Meanwhile, he continues to share boundary-pushing music directly with his fans (the “Colony”) on his various socials.

The single arrived as NLE Choppa graced the cover of Playgirl’s first issue of 2025, photographed at The Standard Hotel in New York City by Anna Garbowska. 40. Wesko – Too Young To Die
Source:Wesko
Today, rising North Carolina based singer-songwriter Wesko unveils a provocative and powerful new single entitled “Too Young To Die” out now via Warner Records – listen HERE. He serves up both a full band version and an acoustic rendition.
About the tune, he states, “‘Too Young To Die’ is another song that I feel speaks truth to silence. Written with two of my favorite cowriters, I feel as if the song came to fruition within the common understanding that all humans share of just how fragile life is and how it can crumble at any given moment. The song was written for those struggling with depression and addiction, both common themes within the larger context of mental health, but at the core of this song is a man that’s lost it all and has nothing left to fall on. That’s who we’re speaking to here, trying to shed a little light and give a glimmer of hope.”
The track’s gentle twang reverberates beneath the cracks in his stark vocal delivery. He stares down rock bottom and comes to a crucial realization, “It’s easier to run from the hard truth.” At the heart of the song, he amplifies a raw refrain with a shuddering soul, “I’m so damn tired of living, but I’m way too young to die.” Meanwhile, the acoustic recording draws the spotlight to his open-hearted lyrics and full-bodied performance, illuminating the honesty in both.
The single arrives on the heels of “Hopeless Son.” Last year, he unveiled “Helene (The Carolina Taping).” Reflecting the pain of the region in the wake of Hurricane Helene, he pledged a donation of 50% of all proceeds generated by the song to the North Carolina Community Foundation Disaster Release Fund. Listen to “Helene” HERE and learn more about the NCCF and donate HERE.
After hearing “Helene,” country superstar Luke Combs personally invited Wesko to perform at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC as part of the Concert for Carolina. Taking the stage, Combs introduced him, and he captivated a capacity crowd of 82,000 with a heart-wrenching rendition of the song. He notably joined a powerhouse bill with Eric Church, The Avett Brothers, Scotty McCreery, Sheryl Crow, and Keith Urban. The event raised over $24 million for Hurricane Helene relief.
Hailing from Kenansville, NC, Wesko has quietly emerged as a country maverick with a knack for “real cowboy tunes,” as he calls ‘em. Inspired by everyone from Neil Young and Eric Church to My Chemical Romance and Green Day, he has architected a raw and real style of his own. No stranger to hard work, he has impressively balanced a full schedule at University of Mount Olive with an intense full-time job as a foreman for an erosion control company—all the while gaining traction on songs such as “Burning House” and “No Surprise.” He also notably attracted an audience one fan-at-a-time, gaining traction locally and magnifying his imprint on social media. Inking a deal with underscore works recordings / Warner Records in 2024, Wesko holds nothing back on his debut Lost Boys EP with more to come.
