The Fire Inside all-star screening took place at the DGA Theater last night (Dec. 4). The film tells the inspiring true story of Claressa Shields, the first American woman to win an Olympic gold medal in boxing.
Several of the film’s cast and crew dazzled the red carpet with bright smiles and gorgeous fits. Ryan Destiny, who portrays Shields, and Brian Tyree Henry, who stars as her coach Jason Crutchfield, were present supporting each other each step of the way. Also in attendance were the film’s director Rachel Morrison, writer and producer Barry Jenkins, and the real-life inspirations behind the story, Shields herself and Crutchfield. The night brought together Hollywood talent and sports legends, blending the world of cinema with the electrifying energy of boxing.
A host of high-profile guests joined the celebration, including Michael B. Jordan, Daniel Kaluuya, Chloe Bailey, Kiki Layne, Ayo Edebiri, and Diana Nyad, adding to the film’s star-studded unveiling.
