Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ series Vision is shaping up to be a major addition to the MCU, and now fans have even more reason to tune in. The Fall of the House of Usher star T’Nia Miller has officially joined the cast. Read more about the show and Miller’s role inside.
According to Deadline, Miller will play the powerful robotic character Jocasta, marking her entry into one of Marvel’s most intriguing and cerebral narratives.
Jocasta, much like Vision, is a sentient android with deep ties to Ultron, the villainous A.I. who has haunted the Avengers for years. In the comics, Jocasta was originally designed by Ultron as a vessel for Janet Van Dyne’s (aka The Wasp’s) consciousness. While Ultron’s twisted motive was to create a robotic mate, Janet was able to use her presence within Jocasta to alert the Avengers to Ultron’s plan. Though the heroes were able to save Janet, a piece of her mind remained inside Jocasta — making the android fully sentient.
In Vision, Miller’s version of Jocasta is described as “cunning and powerful,” with a drive fueled by revenge. That sets up an intense dynamic between her and Paul Bettany’s Vision, who will reprise his role as the beloved synthezoid. The show follows Vision as he works to regain his memory and humanity — and with Jocasta as a central figure, that journey is sure to be layered with philosophical and emotional tension.
The series will also feature James Spader reprising his role as Ultron, alongside Faran Tahir (as Raza), Todd Stashwick, and Ruaridh Mollica. With that lineup, Vision promises to dive deep into themes of identity, free will, and what it means to be truly alive — all through the lens of advanced A.I.
Jocasta’s comic book arc spans multiple identities — from a misunderstood villain to an Avenger and even an advocate for robotic rights. She’s had a rich narrative filled with heartbreak, rebellion, and self-discovery, including a romance with Machine Man and conflicts with Tony Stark’s brother, Arno.
Set to premiere in 2026, Vision will expand Marvel’s ever-growing exploration of complex characters and futuristic ethics. With T’Nia Miller on board, Jocasta is set to become one of the MCU’s most compelling additions yet.
Disney’s new series is coming in 2026. Terry Matalas (Star Trek Picard) will be the showrunner.
