Get ready for another disastrous vacation. Timed perfectly with the “House of the Dragon” season 2 finale on Sunday, HBO has given fans a sneak peek at the highly-anticipated third season of “The White Lotus.” Read more about the show’s return inside.
The anthology series, masterminded by Mike White, took viewers to Hawaii in its first season and then to Sicily in season 2, each time exploring new locations of the titular White Lotus hotel chain. Season 3, confirmed to be set in Thailand, promises the same mix of dark comedy and gripping drama that fans have come to love.
In true White Lotus style, the new season brims with intrigue. “What happens in Thailand stays in Thailand,” one character ominously states while lounging by the pool, hinting at the secrets and scandals to come.
Following the show’s pattern, The White Lotus season 3 introduces a mostly fresh ensemble cast. The lineup includes Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Francesca Corney, Nicholas Duvernay, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Tayme Thapthimthong, and Aimee Lou Wood. However, fans will also see a familiar face: Natasha Rothwell returns as Belinda from season 1. The last time we saw her, Belinda’s wellness business proposal was heartbreakingly shot down by Tanya (Jennifer Coolidge). With Tanya’s demise in the season 2 finale, new doors may open for Belinda.
Season 3’s production faced delays due to the Hollywood strikes last year, pushing its release to 2025 — three years after season 2. Mike White, speaking to Entertainment Weekly, hinted that the upcoming season will be “longer, bigger, crazier,” adding to the excitement of what’s to come.
The White Lotus season 3 is slated to premiere on HBO next year. Until then, fans can catch the preview and start counting down the days to what promises to be another unforgettable journey.
