It has been quite a tumultuous couple of years for Jonathan Majors, but he’s married now and happily gushing about it. Earlier this week (March 18), the 35 year-old actor joined talk show host Sherri Shepherd on her daytime show SHERRI for an exclusive interview. Continue reading to hear Majors discuss his personal journey, his brand new marriage to actor Meagan Good, and his new film, Magazine Dreams. 

OVERCOMING STRUGGLE & FINDING FAITH 

Sherri opened up by reminding Jonathan that the last time he was there, he was promoting his movie with Michael B. Jordan, Creed III. She mentioned how literally a couple weeks later, his life was in a completely different place, citing his public legal battles. After thanking Sherri for having him, he explained how he was feeling during the time. The Lovecraft Country described it as a journey that was hard. Even with that being the case, Majors added that it’s been a “healing journey. A moment of reflection. Two years of growth, healing, and accountability about who and what he was and what he was doing and where his mind was.” He concluded his thought by sharing that he just feels different. “I love the man that I am now.”

The conversation then shifted a bit to some more current news. Sherri brought up the recently surfaced audio conversation between Majors and his ex discussing an aggressive incident. After taking a second to gather his thoughts, Majors responded “God has a plan. & Sometimes you just throw your hands up. I’ve let go of control.” Majors continued by expanding on how his relationship with God helped him grow in not only that situation, but also many others that he hadn’t necessarily previously handled.

MARRIAGE TO MEAGAN GOOD

Later on in the conversation, Majors and Shepherd finally discussed what everyone wanted to hear: his and Meagan’s impromptu wedding (which had just happened the day before). With tears in his eyes, Majors confessed that he told his now wife that “Today might be the happiest day of my life” on their wedding day. He couldn’t help but be emotional when admitting how much he loved her. He went on to detail asking her father for his permission, his pastor mother performing the intimate ceremony, and he and Meagan’s engraved rings that they got from Hawaii.
