One of the highest-grossing film series of all-time is officially back today (May 17) after the trailer for Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One was released. Click inside to check it out!

Tom Cruise returns as Ethan Hunt in the seventh film in the franchise. In Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, Hunt and his IMF (Impossible Missions Force) team embark on their most dangerous mission yet: To track down a terrifying new weapon that threatens all of humanity before it falls into the wrong hands. With control of the future and the fate of the world at stake, and dark forces from Ethan’s past closing in, a deadly race around the globe begins. Confronted by a mysterious, all-powerful enemy, Ethan is forced to consider that nothing can matter more than his mission – not even the lives of those he cares about most.

Alongside Cruise, Ving Rhames (Luther Stickell), Simon Pegg (Benji Dunn), Vanessa Kirby (Alanna Mitsopolis), Frederick Schmidt (Zola Mitsopolis) and Rebecca Ferguson (Ilsa Faust) will all return to reprise their roles. The additional cast includes Hayley Atwell, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Mariela Garriga, Henry Czerny, Shea Whigham, Greg Tarzan Davis, Charles Parnell, Cary Elwes, Mark Gatiss, Indira Varma and Rob Delaney.

Following his work on the previous two films, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation and Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Christopher McQuarrie returns as the director of the film. McQuarrie and Erik Jendresen wrote the film based on the television series created by Bruce Geller. On top of their other duties, McQuarrie and Tom Cruise produced the film while David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, Tommy Gormley, Chris Brock and Susan E. Novick served as executive producers.
