Wu-Tang Clan’s Masta Killa stars in a bold new PETA campaign, encouraging fans to try a plant-powered lifestyle and “Protect Ya Neck.” Read more and check out the campaign inside.

In the campaign’s striking visuals, the legendary MC rocks eye-catching “lettuce camo” while flashing a handful of fresh leafy greens. With his newly released solo album Balance out now, Masta Killa is shining a spotlight on another passion of his — veganism. As a longtime vegan and advocate for mindful living, he’s spreading the message that eating plant-based is more than just a trend. He considers it to be a lifestyle rooted in health, longevity, and compassion.

“Take care of your body and your body will take care of you,” Masta Killa says in a new video spot. “Your body is a living organism—you’re supposed to feed it life. Plants, vegetables, fruits, all of those things are still living, so you’re putting life into life.”

The rapper shares that going vegan has supercharged his energy levels, helping him maintain peak performance on and off stage. He also highlights how easy it’s become to find delicious vegan meals across the country.

“Everywhere I go now, there’s a good vegan meal somewhere,” he adds. “And it’s more healthy, so there’s really no excuse.”

PETA, the leading animal rights organization behind the campaign, points out that plant-based eating not only spares nearly 200 animals a year from cruel factory farming conditions, but also reduces the risk of chronic health issues like heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and obesity.

Beyond health benefits, Masta Killa is reminding fans that animals are sentient beings. Cows form close bonds, chickens have social lives, and pigs know their names. His message aligns with a growing movement of celebrities who advocate for animal welfare, including fellow Wu-Tang member RZA, Jermaine Dupri, and Jhené Aiko.

By showing up for PETA in this latest campaign, Masta Killa proves that plant-based living isn’t just possible—it’s powerful.

“I think you can do it,” he says. “I’m living proof that you can.”

To help fans make the switch, PETA offers a free vegan starter kit and encourages everyone to consider the impact of what’s on their plate.

Because when it comes to protecting yourself—and the planet—Masta Killa says it best: feed life into life.
