In The Madness, Muncie Daniels is a political consultant-turned-TV pundit who may have lost his way in life. While on a work sabbatical in the Poconos to write the great American novel, Muncie finds himself the only witness to the murder of a well-known white supremacist, and now he’s being framed for the crime. Muncie is forced to go on the run in a desperate fight to clear his name and unravel a global conspiracy before time runs out. Along the way he’ll reconnect with his family, find unlikely allies, and fight against disinformation in a post-truth age.
In addition to Domingo (Fear of the Walking Dead, Euphoria, The Color Purple), the film also stars Marsha Stephanie Blake (Orange Is the New Black, When They See Us, Brother), Gabrielle Graham (21 Thunder, On the Basis of Sex, Twenties), John Ortiz (American Gangster, Fast & Furious, American Fiction), Tamsin Topolski (The Rook, What You Wish For), and TJ Mixon (Reasonable Doubt, Creed III). Guest stars include Deon Cole, Bradley Whitford, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Alison Wright, Hamish Allan-Headley, and Ennis Esmer.
Stephen Belber created the show and is a co-showrunner with VJ Boyd. Clément Virgo directed the series and took on executive producer responsibilities. Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and Kaitlin Dahill also served as executive producers.
The highly anticipated series (8 episodes) will premiere globally on November 28th. The premiere date falls on Thanksgiving in the United States, making the series a perfect binge watch for the long holiday weekend.
