Suburban Noize Records is proud to partner with Big Hoss for the release of his new solo single “Small Golden Thread”. The song is the lead single from his upcoming solo EP Saints, Sinners & 2nd Chances coming later this year through Subnoize. Recorded at the Suburban Noize compound, “Small Golden Thread” is an unfiltered look at the eternal battle between good & evil & the fragility of life itself. With nothing but his voice & an acoustic guitar, Big Hoss invites listeners on a journey into his soul, offering a raw & hauntingly beautiful song that lingers long after the music fades.

 “Throughout my career, I never truly left Suburban Noize—I’ve just been quietly doing my own thing behind the scenes,” shared Big Hoss. “I feel blessed to reconnect with Kevin Zinger & the rest of the SubNoize family on this project. While I’ve always been a punk rock & rip hop artist at heart, my roots run deep & I grew up playing acoustic. Growing up in Riverside, California, I was influenced by everything from Sublime to Johnny Cash. This upcoming EP is a natural extension of those influences. I don’t like to box in my music with labels like ‘alternative’ because I’ve never fit neatly into any category. This project is a little bit of everything—acoustic, soft punk, emotional & just raw.”  

Big Hoss reveals a deeply personal side with his upcoming solo EP, a raw & acoustic EP that captures his most vulnerable moments. Stripped down to its essence, the effort showcases Hoss’ introspective songwriting & emotional depth, making it his most intimate work to date. Drawing inspiration from West Coast legends like Sublime, who demonstrated the power of storytelling with just an acoustic guitar, Big Hoss channels that same authenticity & versatility. 

He has been an instrumental figure in shaping the early Suburban Noize movement, playing a role in helping to build the musical legacies of Saint Dog & the Kottonmouth Kings. For more than 2 decades, Big Hoss has made musical contributions to classic albums like Saint Dog’s Ghetto Guide & U.S.@. (Unconformable Social @mputees), Subnoize Souljaz, Hosstyle Crew & DG@F —a group he co-founded alongside his brother Saint Dog, Chucky Chuck & Gillies. In addition to his work with Suburban Noize, Big Hoss and Saint Dog co-created the US@ label as an outlet for their various creative endeavors.
