Aaron Smith, known as Shwayze, also referred to as the King of the Summer and Malibu’s Most Wanted, has recently released his latest album, Shwaycation. In this new summer anthem, Shwayze returns with his signature party beach vibes. The tracks “Tequila,” “Single for the Summer,” “I Pray,” and “Mine” showcase his lyrical skills and smooth, soulful reggae harmonies. Songs like “West Coast,” “Smoke Too Soon,” “Promises,” “Kick Back,” “Champagne Problems,” “Book a Flight,” and “Party in the Hills” highlight his direct rap flows and catchy choruses. This album follows his previous release, Shway SZN.
This is Shwayze’s eighth album to date and his fifth solo album. He originally worked with Cisco on the first three projects before embarking on a solo career. The album features contributions from Bryce Vine, Ripe, Common Kings, Kes, J. Lauryn, and Wiz Khalifa.
Shwayze first rose to prominence in 2007 alongside White Star member Cisco Adler as a duo, releasing their debut self-titled project. Their notable classics, such as “Corona and Lime” and “Buzzin’,” helped establish Shwayze in the hip-hop underground. From freestyling on stage to collaborating with Cisco, Shwayze has made a name for himself in the genre. With Shwayze, the party continues long after summer ends.
