Earlier this week, Future shared the music video to one of his more emotional songs, ‘Love You Better’, from his recent chart-topping album, ‘I Never Liked You‘. The music video carries the same sad, bid you farewell feel as the record does.
The visual opens with the Atlanta rapper wearing faded clown makeup and a pinstripe blazer, to then switching scenes of Future, the clown watching his ex begin a new life with another man. Future’s ex is starred by Shannon Thornton, who currently appears in the Starz series P-Valley.
“You tellin’ me you fallin’ out of love with me / Hope you can find someone to love you better than I did,” Future sings in the chorus.
It’s fair to say that the video references real-life situations of how Future may have felt or still feels emotionally, making the song and visual more vulnerable and compelling.
In other news, Future is set to appear at Rolling Loud New York 2022 as a headliner this September, alongside other heavy-hitters such as Nicki Minaj, ASAP Rocky, Lil Baby, 21 Savage, and more.
