Well, I had made the song and I really wanted Uzi on it, because I shouted him out. Uzi is definitely one of those people that I think made a big difference in the music industry. …he’s definitely somebody that I look up to, so just having him on the song and stuff is really cool, man. We shot the video, and he was the most genuine person, and he’s exactly how you think he’d be in person, so animated and… It was kind of a surreal moment for me. You know? But shout out Uzi, obviously. Now, we bros.

I’ve always been a big fan of fashion, so just to finally be a part of it, it’s just really cool. And seeing all my friends that are models and stuff do their thing, so I’m just taking notes the whole time and just waiting for my moment. I got to walk my first runway show, so I’m easing my way in.

iann dior: Well, for starters, the album is done. We’re just mixing it right now, getting everything sounding right…. It has the punk pop, it has the pop, it has the OG rap shit that my day-one fans love, and it has some acoustic stuff in it. We took it in every direction this time, and I’m excited to see where it goes.

Zane Lowe: And it’s coming in the Fall? It’s coming before the end of ’21?

iann dior: Yeah.

Yo, I mean, being back on the road and just hearing the bands, it didn’t feel real at first. You know? It kind of just felt like, wow, this is happening. Our first show that we did was in Minnesota, and obviously the crowd in Minnesota is always crazy. Shout out Prince, too. That’s where he’s from. But there’s at least 15,000 people there, and I’m just standing on stage just soaking it in, because it feels like it’s been five years since I performed, so. And that’s my favorite thing to do, so just to be back on stage definitely is that surreal, “wow, this is actually happening” moment for sure.
