Born and raised in the small town of Diessenhofen in Switzerland, Tyra always had a deep love for singing. However, that passion stayed quiet for many years. Yet life had other plans. In December 2023, her father, a well-known motocross rider, experienced a life-changing accident that left him paralyzed. A month later, Tyra received her own cancer diagnosis. The two events happened within weeks of each other — and they forced a shift in perspective.

When everything changes that quickly, you realize what really matters. Therefore, those hardships gave Tyra strength to start doing what her heart desired for so long. 

This realization sent her toward music with full commitment. In December 2024, she began working with producer Dominik Rivinius at Boogie Park Studios, known for working with artists like Taylor Swift and Eminem. Together, they began working on Tyra’s sound: dark-pop infused with emotional honesty, atmospheric production, and expressive lyricism.

Now she’s back with “Don’t Be Shy,” a song that reveals a sharper edge. It confronts emotional unavailability and manipulation, calling out the person who plays games in relationships. Tyra delivers the message in a way that makes the audience understand that “there’s no need to put up with that.”

The line, “You show me yours and I’ll show you mine,” becomes a metaphor for vulnerability. It’s part invitation, part warning. If someone wants to be in her life, they need to show up — not hide.
