Stepping into the African music space and tapping into his African roots, rising Panamanian singer-songwriter Nino Augustine picks the buzzing and thriving sound of South Africa’s Amapiano to tell a story of commitment and devotion. As stated previously and in the leading music magazine’s article, Nino has shared his love for Black music throughout the diaspora and from the continent of Africa. Earlier this year, the breakout star was featured on Rolling Stone’s website for his Afrofusion-inspired collaboration with Colombian rapper Jossman on a song called ‘Energia’.

I am constantly inspired by Black music, first in Latin America and the Caribbean, and later music directly from the continent. Watching that creative space has really sparked my own creativity, Nino said.
