Not everyday do I come across a singer/songwriter with the sheer talent 18-year-old Sabrina Lee possesses. The Virginia native has been shocking the industry release after release since her debut in 2020. She built up steady momentum across 2021, with notable press features in Lyrical Lemonade and Ones To Watch, and multiple Spotify editorial placements including Fresh Finds and Sad Bops. Now, she releases another empowering anthem, Mr. Nice Guy.

The song serves as the 5th release in the young artist’s catalogue, and proves to be the best yet in my opinion. It speaks to her youthful audience, delivering the message that they can thrive without a love interest in their life, and find the good in the independence of being single. Thus, the record was released on valentines day, just to prove that damn point even further! Her well thought out lyrics challenge the patriarchal ideals of society today, something we are used to seeing from the progressive thinking Sabrina Lee. The production, made by a talented team of Simon Jay & Luke Shrestha (Chapters), consists of a catchy guitar melody laid under bouncy pop drums. The simple yet powerful production allows for Sabrina’s astounding voice to truly shine through on this record. This is a song that has a shelf life that seems to be forever… I simply cannot get the chorus out of my head.

With huge sync placements on the horizon, and upcoming collaborations with well-known producer Tarro (credits on Blackbear, Jutes), Sabrina Lee is set to shock the world in 2022.
