Brooklyn based lyrical wordsmith StLAROK drops the first offering entitled BOOK SMART from his 4-song “SHAMAN EP”, set for a 2.22.22 release date. This project is a self-produced homage to the mid 90’s era of hardcore Hip Hop. Sonically, the inspiration draws from the gritty sounds of Wu-Tang, J Dilla, and Portishead. Hard drums and dark sample chops set the tone for sharp, thoughtful lyrics and flows ranging from aggressive to smooth, with a confident delivery comparable to some of Rap’s most legendary MC’s. SHAMAN will be the first project of several released in 2022. Expect to hear more from StLAROK in the near future.
