This week, Ghana’s hottest new artist Black Sherif released a full-length album. On the well-composed fourteen-track effort, Kwaku the Traveller goes through various shades of being homeless and hopeless (“The Homeless Song”), living with anxiety (“Soja”), and being on a path that isn’t glorified. Though the album feels dark, positive affirmations that keep hope alive are sprinkled in.
