According to the Wall Street Journal, Dutch media mogul Reinout Oerlemans and his wife Danielle sold the mansion to The Weeknd. The couple said that they had no intention of selling their renovated property until Beverly Hills Estates real estate agents Rayni and Branden Williams approached them.

When the Oerlemans decided to sell the property to The Weeknd, they did so in an off-market transaction.

The home is situated on 1.6 acres with views of the Bel-Air Country Club. Nine bedrooms, a sports court, a spa with a sauna, a hammam, an indoor pool, an outdoor infinity pool with a waterfall, a movie theater, a gym, and a music studio make up the 33,000-square-foot mansion.
