Nearly a week ago, Eddy Kenzo released the official video for the infectious ‘Shakamo’ featuring Tribe Mark. The colour is rich, the sun is shining, the kids get spotlighted, and the messaging is about surviving, being grateful, and celebrating what we have today. Bringing it together with his fantastic lyricism, New Jersey-based rapper of Haitian descent, Tribe Mark, shines alongside Eddy Kenzo, making ‘Shakamo’ even more appealing to English-speaking music fans. The eye-catching visual follows ‘Sango’, another single from the album, featuring his fellow Ugandan singer Martha Mukisa. Watch the music video below and listen to his latest album, ‘Made in Africa’.
If you’re in Humboldt, California, you can also listen to his album takeover on Irie Adina’s Afrobeats Pon the Edge’ tonight. It airs live on 106.7 FM The Edge/99.5 KXGO. If you have the Tune-In app, search KXGO on the app.
