Aimee Vant is here to continue the story from her last release, Trash. Voicemail is the third song off of her up and coming EP, and this project is shaping up to be how Aimee is dealing with the emotions she was left with from her past trauma.

To make a long story short, a few years back Aimee traveled to South Africa to visit her boyfriend, and once she arrived, there was nobody there to welcome her. She had to fend for herself in a foreign country for a week, and was an anxiety-ridden and heartbroken mess.

Compared to last releases where she struggles to cope with the situation, Voicemail is further along in processing these emotions; this time allowing a sense of self worth to shine through. Rather than losing her mind wondering what she did wrong, she has made her peace and decided she wouldn’t even pick up his call if he ever decides to explain why he did this to her.

Aimee constantly releases tracks that are meant to be screamed at the top of your lungs, and she sticks with that trend on this release, giving us another outlet to expel our emotions that are the hardest to let go of.
