The Brooklyn Drill sound is one of the more exciting sounds New York has produced in a while. Often credited to the late Pop Smoke for its massive success, his part of town, Canarsie is keeping that energy alive. DayDay Flex shares the official video for his song ‘Big Steppa’ featuring Kayo Bandz. The video shows the pair amongst a gang of people in various settings. One thing is for sure, whether it is in a New York City Park, in front of some impressive houses or by the Pop Smoke mural in the Canarsie area, they are all full of radiant energy. As they dance, flash their money, and celebrate their successes, listeners and viewers can’t help it but get involved and dance. It is a refreshing feeling to see the energy in Canarsie still strong, and what a way to honor the ones who haven’t made it this far. Both DayDay Flex and Kayo Bandz are talented and I look forward to hearing more new music from them.
