Now that the weather heating up, Broken Complex Records, the San Fernando Valley-based record label, is releasing more heat. Kail Problems links up with the head of the label, DJ Hoppa for this boom-bap track.
The ominous strings orchestrated by DJ Hoppa are accompanied with a electronic bass and snare that produce a easy highway for KP’s rhyme schemes. One killer line I enjoyed was: “You listen to Backstreet Boys / I was on backstreets where the gats being drawn / smokin on some hashish, with sassy broads..” Hearing this track made me want to find out more and Kail Problems.
When asked about his new single “New Amount”, Kail Problems replied “It’s that jumping over the hood of a car in slow motion with 2 burners and a loosie on the lip cuz revenge is a dish that must be served. And it’s dinner time.”
