A hybrid universe of Vedic astrology, hyperromance and rock’n roll, that is the Copenhagen artist Kleo in a nutshell. Her love for music stems from her Grandpa’s piano that used to lull her to sleep when she was young before she was slowly introduced to the impassioned stylings of early 90’s Grunge that saw her music taste take a complete 180. As this talented songstresses sound began to took place it was classic tales of romance that inspired her storytelling but in her debut track it was the most famous one of all with a cult classic movie that made the lyrical cut.

A song for all the star crossed lovers out there Broken Hallelujah is kept minimal with the production being lead by the magical keys of a piano that bring you into the intimate affair as her celestial vocal beautifully portrays this requiem for lost love. The lyrics are pure poetry, the whole track is a goosebump inducing piece that makes you feel as if you’re floating on air and the reference to the Baz Luhrmann cult classic from 1996 in the music video is just the cherry on top.

Speaking on the track Kleo said, “‘Broken Hallelujah’ is a love scene and a tragedy happening in slow motion. A sort of requiem to a love that was lost to begin with. It’s the feeling of bliss and sadness being intertwined, that can be so elevating and heavenly – an emotion so intense, you can’t help but stand in awe of the universe and how we are created. While singing ‘Broken Hallelujah’, I experience these feelings so purely.“
