With Nothingness coming out a couple of weeks ago and the drop of his latest single, the self proclaimed bedroom emo folk artist Okay Alright is truly giving us sonic treat after sonic treat as of late. His music is best described as something you’d hear at the end credits of an A24 coming of age movie directed by Greta Gerwig with his raw soundscape making you feel the whole spectrum of human emotions in one glorious three minute song. Magic in sonic form, ride my bike 2 the ocean was designed for those days where you want to run off into the distance with no destination in mind and just keep going until the sunsets across a glorious amber sky. From the honest lyrics that you can effortlessly find yourself within and the untouched hazy vocals crooning them perfectly to the whimsical production that gives takes the weight of the world off your shoulders and allows you to feel free once again, this is a main character moment.
This song is like a hug. It makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside whilst making you feel loved and safe. Every time I see Okay Alright drop a track I know I’m going to have a sonic experience that is truly magical, ethereal and whimsically mesmerising.
