Supermodel Naomi Campbell stated in a recent interview with Reuters that there should be a Vogue Africa. She stated that it would be good for the next progression and it would set a benchmark for the industry to establish itself. And stated that Vogue is the only multi-media company dedicated to reaching it Middle East customers.

Campbell stated “Africa never had the opportunity to be out there and their fabrics and materials and their designs be accepted on a global platform. It shouldn’t be that way.”

Darker skin has been discriminated against in the fashion industry, and Campbell pointed out that “People have to realize it’s not about the color of your skin to define you can do the job or not.”
